Uta's First Month of Training:
Day 1: Harmonizing Emotions
In a secluded clearing near the coast, Shanks and Uta stood. The red-haired captain crossed his arms, his signature grin softening as he observed Uta hum a faint melody.
"Alright, Uta," Shanks said, his tone gentle yet firm, "focus on keeping control of both emotions in your melody. Tot Musica's power feeds on chaos. You've done well to resist, but let's try to harmonize instead of suppress."
Uta nodded, her brow furrowed in determination. She sang a soft note, her voice trembling as faint waves of energy rippled out. The nearby grass shimmered, bending toward the sound.
Suddenly, the energy spiked—discordant—and Shanks quickly clapped his hands. "Stop!"
Uta gasped, breaking the note. Her small frame shivered as she struggled to rein in the chaotic vibrations threatening to escape.
"You're trying too hard," Shanks said, kneeling to her level. "Sing like you're trying to soothe a crying friend; not like you're fighting an enemy."
Uta hesitated but nodded. She closed her eyes, letting her breathing steady. This time, when she sang, the melody was gentler, and the energy waves smoothed out, causing the surrounding leaves to sway peacefully.
"There you go," Shanks said with a warm smile. "That's progress. Keep practicing that control."
Day 7: Physical Training - Strengthening
"Okay, Uta, your turn!" Ash called as he stood in the center of the training ground. Lucy, sitting on a rock nearby, watched Uta curiously.
"Why do I need to learn combat if I'm a musician?" Uta asked, whined tilting her head. Even though she told she wants to train with them.
Ash chuckled. "Because even musicians need to defend themselves, especially on a pirate crew. And if you're going to keep up with Lucy, you'll need to build some stamina."
Lucy grinned. "Yeah! I'll race you later!"
Rolling her eyes but smiling, Uta stood in the sparring circle with Ash. "Fine, but don't hold back too much."
Ash lunged with a light jab, and Uta stepped back, her movements a bit stiff but deliberate. She raised her arms defensively, blocking the next blow clumsily but effectively.
"Good reaction!" Ash encouraged. "Now, counter!"
Uta hesitated before throwing a punch, which Ash easily sidestepped. "You're thinking too much! Just let your body flow with the rhythm—like when you dance while singing."
Taking his advice, Uta hummed under her breath, her body relaxing. Her next punch was smoother, and while it still missed, Ash nodded in approval.
"That's better! Keep practicing that rhythm."
Day 14: Dream World Refinement
Shanks guided Uta to the edge of the forest. "Alright, Uta. Today, we're focusing on creating controlled dreamscapes. I want you to project a simple image surrounding a stone."
Uta frowned. "What kind of image?"
"Anything peaceful like a field of flowers for example," Shanks said with a grin. "No big battles or scary stuff. Just... calm."
Taking a deep breath, Uta starts imagining a stone in her dream world and began to hum softly. A faint shimmer appeared around it, and slowly, a small field of flowers materialized, the stone at its center. The colors were faint and flickering, but the projection held. Uta nods her head indicating shanks she had done it.
"Good start," Shanks said, his tone encouraging. "Now, let's add some detail. Focus on flower particularly on petals moving because of breeze."
Uta's face scrunched in concentration, and the flowers became more defined, their petals swaying gently as if touched by a breeze. However, the strain showed as her forehead glistened with sweat. The image wavered.
Shanks rested a hand on her shoulder seeing that. "Don't push too hard. You're doing great."
Day 20: Footwork and Agility
"Come on, Uta, you're lagging behind!" Lucy shouted as she darted around the training course Ash had set up for all 3 of them.
Uta panted, leaping over a low hurdle and nearly tripping. "I'm a singer, not a sprinter!"
Ash, who is also training with them, chuckled. "The idea isn't to win a race, Uta. It's to make your movements smoother and more deliberate. Speed will come with practice."
Uta grumbled but nodded, her determination renewed. She tries to mimic Lucy's swift movements, her arms extended slightly for balance. While she wasn't as agile as Lucy, her movements grew steadier with each lap.
By the end of the day, both girls collapsed onto the grass, panting but smiling.
"That was fun," Lucy said, looking at Uta. "You're getting better!"
"Thanks," Uta replied, wiping her brow. "But next time, I'll beat you."
Day 28: Echoed Strike Refinement
Shanks stood across from Uta, holding a wooden staff. "Alright, kiddo, let's try refining your Echoed Strike. The goal is to channel your voice into a controlled burst of energy. Don't think about it as an attack; think of it as a song you're directing at me."
Uta nodded, gripping the staff tightly. She took a deep breath and began to hum a low note. The air vibrated slightly, and as she swung the staff, a faint shockwave rippled out, striking the wooden practice dummy behind Shanks.
Shanks raised an eyebrow. "Not bad. But let's focus the energy more. Aim for precision, not just power."
Uta tried again, her voice steadier this time. The shockwave was narrower and struck the dummy square in the chest, toppling it over.
"That's the spirit!" Shanks said with a grin. "You're getting the hang of this."
{}
By the end of the month, Uta had made significant progress in refining her abilities. With Shanks' guidance, she developed more control over her Devil Fruit powers, without the risk of Tot Musica's influence. Her physical training with Ash and Lucy improved her stamina, agility, and confidence in combat.
Despite her grumbles, Uta couldn't help but feel proud of herself—and a little closer to her dream of spreading her music.
Uta's Second Month of Training:
Day 31: Tuning Energy
Shanks stood near Uta as she worked on projecting her controlled dreamscapes.
"Okay, Uta," Shanks said, tossing her a small wooden charm. "Add this to your projection without disrupting the flowers from before. Think of it as weaving two melodies into one."
Uta took a deep breath, humming softly. The charm floated into the dreamscape, merging seamlessly with the field of flowers. As it settled, the projection shimmered faintly but held steady.
"That's it," Shanks said with a grin. "Now, let's try it with movement."
Uta groaned, knowing this meant more effort, but she obliged. Slowly, she manipulated the charm within the dreamscape, making it sway as if caught in an invisible breeze. Though the projection flickered at times, she kept it stable.
Day 35: Physical Training - Sprinting Races
"Ready, set, go!" Ash shouted as Lucy and Uta sprinted across the grassy clearing.
Lucy quickly pulled ahead, her smaller frame darting over obstacles like a bouncing ball. Uta followed, stumbling slightly over a fallen branch but recovering quickly.
"You're getting faster, Uta!" Ash cheered.
"I'd be faster if Lucy wasn't cheating!" Uta pouted. Not willing to accept defeat.
"I'm not cheating!" Lucy giggled as she vaulted over a low hurdle. "You're just slow!"
Uta gritted her teeth, pushing herself harder. By the time they reached the finish line, Lucy won by a small margin, but Uta had cut the gap significantly from their first race.
Ash clapped for both of them. "Great effort, you two! Uta, your footwork's improving, but don't tense up so much when you're sprinting. Stay loose."
"Fine," Uta grumbled, though a small smile betrayed her pride in her progress.
Day 42: Hand-to-Hand Combat Sparring - Friendly Rivalry
Ash stood between Uta and Lucy, acting as a referee for their sparring match.
"Alright, no pulling punches," Ash said with a playful smirk. "But also, no broken bones. Ready? Go!"
Lucy charged forward, her fists swinging wildly but with surprising precision for her age. Uta sidestepped the first attack, countering with a light jab that Lucy blocked clumsily.
"Good dodge, Uta," Ash said, watching closely. "But your follow-up is too hesitant."
Uta nodded, focusing harder. This time, she moved more fluidly, dodging Lucy's next punch and landing a soft tap on Lucy's shoulder.
"Gotcha!" Uta said with a grin.
Lucy pouted but quickly switched tactics, ducking under Uta's next attack and wrapping her arms around her waist in a playful tackle. Both girls fell to the ground, laughing as Ash shook his head.
"Alright, alright, match over," Ash said, chuckling. "Let's call it a draw before someone loses a tooth."
Day 50: Refining Energy Attacks - "Echoed Strike Precision"
Shanks and Uta stood by the cliffs overlooking the sea. A line of wooden dummies had been set up as targets.
"Let's see how precise you can get with your Echoed Strike," Shanks said, handing Uta a wooden staff. "Hit only the center of each dummy. No wild swings."
Uta nodded, gripping the staff tightly. She took a deep breath, singing a low, steady note as she swung. The energy rippled out, striking the first dummy in the chest.
"Not bad," Shanks said, moving to the next dummy. "Now, adjust your pitch slightly for more focus."
Uta followed his advice, her note growing sharper. This time, the energy strike was more concentrated, leaving a small dent in the center of the second dummy.
"Perfect! You're starting to get it," Shanks said with a proud smile.
Day 55: Friendly Pranks - "Operation: Sneaky Sandwich"
Ash was sitting under a tree, enjoying a quiet moment with his lunch: a thick sandwich packed with freshly sliced meat and vegetables.
Lucy and Uta peeked from behind a nearby bush, whispering and giggling.
"Are you sure this will work?" Uta asked.
"Of course!" Lucy whispered back, holding up a small pouch of itching powder they'd swiped from Makino's supplies. "Just sprinkle a tiny bit on his sandwich. He'll never know!"
Uta hesitated but eventually nodded, creeping forward while Lucy kept watch. With practiced stealth, Uta sprinkled a tiny pinch of powder onto Ash's sandwich and darted back to the bush.
Moments later, Ash took a big bite. His face remained calm for a moment, then twisted into confusion as he started scratching his chin. Then his neck. Then his arms.
"What the—?!" Ash exclaimed, looking at the sandwich suspiciously.
From the bush, Lucy and Uta burst into laughter, unable to contain themselves.
Ash's eyes narrowed as he stood up, his scratching subsiding. "Oh, you two are so in trouble!"
Squealing with laughter, Lucy and Uta bolted, with Ash hot on their heels.
Day 60: Test of Growth - "The Strength Within"
The warm glow of the setting sun bathed the training field as Ash and Lucy prepared for their final day of training of this month. Uta stood nearby, stretching her arms and legs in preparation for her turn.
"Alright, Lucy, let's see how much stronger you've gotten!" Ash encouraged with a grin.
Lucy nodded, excitement in her eyes. She crouched low, focused on a sturdy training dummy. With a deep breath, she launched forward, her small fists connecting with a satisfying thud launching it back from it's place.
Ash clapped for her. "Good! Your form's solid. Keep practicing, and you'll get extra power."
Lucy beamed, wiping her forehead before turning to Uta. "Okay, your turn, Uta! Show us what you've got!"
Uta smiled confidently. "Alright, but don't blink, or you might miss it!" she teased, taking her stance.
She charged at a similar dummy, her agility on full display. With a swift combination of punches and kicks, Uta sent the dummy rocking back and forth before landing a decisive strike with her leg, knocking it to the ground.
"Whoa, Uta! You've gotten stronger than before!" Lucy exclaimed, clapping enthusiastically.
Ash crossed his arms, nodding in approval. "Not bad at all. Your balance and speed have definitely improved."
Uta laughed, brushing off imaginary dust from her clothes. "Well, training with you two has its perks. You can't slack off when you're trying to keep up with a rubber girl and a determined taskmaster."
Lucy giggled, and Ash smirked. "I'll take that as a compliment."
By the end of the second month, Uta had greatly improved her control over her Devil Fruit powers, while Lucy's physical strength and Devil Fruit techniques had grown sharper. Their playful rivalry and teamwork not only strengthened their skills but also deepened their bond, setting the stage for future adventures.
Uta's Third Month of Training:
Day 65: Training and Teasing
Uta, Ash, and Lucy stood at the edge of the forest, preparing for another day of physical exercises. Today's focus was a combination of agility drills and endurance runs through a pre-planned obstacle course.
"Alright," Ash started, holding a hand-drawn map of the course, "you have to jump, crawl, and dodge your way through this path. Whoever finishes first gets an extra slice of cake tonight!"
Lucy pumped her fists. "I'm gonna win for sure!"
Uta smirked. "Don't get too cocky, Lucy. I too have been practicing."
As the three of them raced through the course, Uta stayed close to Ash, her competitive spirit making her push harder. When they reached the end, Ash barely crossed the finish line first, with Uta close behind.
Lucy flopped onto the grass, panting. "I'll get you next time, Ash!", as she got tumbled at one obstacle making ash to take the lead
Uta playfully bumped Ash's shoulder as she caught her breath. "You got lucky this time. Next time, I'm taking that cake."
Ash laughed. "We'll see about that."
Later, as they walked back to the village, Uta hung back with Ash, finding excuses to linger near him. "You're really good at these courses," she said with a smile.
"You're not bad yourself," Ash replied, grinning.
Uta blushed slightly but quickly changed the subject, hiding her feelings behind playful banter.
Day 70: Progress and Playful Moments
During a sparring session, Uta and Lucy took turns practicing their hand-to-hand combat techniques against Ash.
Uta had grown significantly more confident in her movements, her punches and kicks landing with precision. Even Ash seemed impressed. "Nice form, Uta. Your strikes are getting much better."
"Thanks!" Uta replied, a proud smile on her face catching her breath. She glanced at Lucy, who was still catching her breath. "Guess all that practice is paying off."
After the session, the three of them sat under a tree, enjoying the shade. Uta quietly leaned against Ash's shoulder, pretending to be tired from the training. Ash didn't seem to notice, too busy discussing ideas with Lucy.
Day 78: The Friendly Prank
While Ash was resting after their daily routine, Uta and Lucy exchanged mischievous glances.
"Let's do it," Uta whispered, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Lucy giggled and nodded. Together, they tied a rope to a low-hanging branch and attached a small bucket of water. They hid in the bushes, waiting for Ash to fall asleep under it.
When Ash finally did, the bucket tipped, splashing him with cold water. He woke up and froze for a moment before looking around, water dripping from his hair.
"Lucy! Uta!" he shouted, but his voice was more amused than angry.
The girls burst out laughing, rolling on the ground. Uta couldn't stop giggling as Ash chased them around the field.
"Alright, you two, you asked for it!" Ash said, grabbing a handful of mud and flinging it toward them.
The playful fight ended with all three of them covered in mud, laughing until their sides hurt.
Day 85: Strength and Endurance
Uta's physical growth was evident as she tackled more challenging exercises. During strength training, she managed to lift a heavier log than before, impressing both Ash and Lucy.
"You've really gotten stronger, Uta," Ash said, giving her a thumbs-up.
Uta's face lit up at the compliment. "Thanks! I've been working hard."
Later, during a cooldown walk, Uta stayed close to Ash, occasionally sneaking glances at him. She felt her heart race every time he smiled or laughed.
Day 90: A Quiet Moment
On the final day of the third month, Ash, Lucy, and Uta sat by the river after their training. The warm breeze rustled the leaves, and the sound of the water was soothing.
Uta sat beside Ash, humming a soft melody. Lucy was skipping stones, trying to see how many bounces she could get.
"That's a nice tune," Ash said, turning to Uta.
"Thanks," she replied, her cheeks pink. "It's just something I made up."
Ash nodded appreciatively. "You're really talented, Uta. I bet you'll be a great musician someday."
Uta's heart swelled at the compliment. "You think so?"
"Definitely," Ash said with a smile.
Lucy joined them, breaking the moment with a cheerful shout. "Let's race back to the village!"
The three of them ran off, their laughter echoing through the trees.
