One piece :I open the locks of the heart

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Discovering Traverse Town

I looked at my two companions with a smile on my face. "So, was that fun?" I asked, watching them. Nami, still busy examining her new weapon, seemed absorbed in her thoughts.

Luffy, on the other hand, pouted a little. "Not bad," he said, crossing his arms. "At least I got to try my new moves, but I'm disappointed you didn't let me take on one of the bigger ones."

I chuckled softly. "Don't worry, Captain. We're getting a new dungeon now," I said, turning to Nami. "Nami, you've gained the ability to cast spells like I do. But be careful, some Sans-cœur are immune to certain types of magic."

She nodded, looking at her weapon with a mix of interest and determination. "I'll get used to it," she murmured.

I then initiated the next dungeon.

You will be teleported to Traverse Town – Easy Mode – with your team. Objective: Defeat 150 Soldiers, 30 Rondouillards, 30 Nocturnes rouges, 30 Opéras jaunes, 30 Rhapsodies bleues, 30 Requiem verts, and 1 Armure gardienne. Rewards: Random item/equipment/ability for your team members. All defeated Sans-cœur will come under your command.

I turned to Luffy, my expression more serious. "Luffy, be careful, there are more of them this time."

We were teleported right into the heart of the First District of Traverse Town, a city plunged into eternal night, its lights illuminating the cobblestone streets and small plazas. All around us, a true assortment of Sans-cœur roamed, their mechanical movements and glowing eyes drifting through the shadows of the alleys.

I pointed at the different creatures, preparing to give orders. "Luffy, you and Nami take care of the Soldiers and the Rondouillards. I'll handle the small flying ones."

Without a second's hesitation, I launched myself into the air, gliding effortlessly over the district. Almost immediately, I heard Nami shouting as she saw me floating in the air.

"Wait, are you serious?! You really can fly?! I thought I was seeing things in the Destiny Island dungeon, but…" Her voice betrayed her surprise and confusion.

I couldn't help but smile slightly as I looked at her from above. "Yeah, no wings needed for this, Nami. I'll show you how I do it later, but for now, focus on the Sans-cœur."

She shook her head, visibly baffled but determined. "You're full of surprises, aren't you!"

I quickly spotted the Nocturnes rouges, Opéras jaunes, Rhapsodies bleues, and Requiem verts floating above the district. There were ten of each, and I knew they could be a real problem if they started casting spells. Summoning dark energy balls in my hands, I swiftly launched them one by one, quickly taking down each of these small creatures with a single hit, their bodies dissolving in the air with a faint shimmer.

While I continued to deal with the flying enemies, I heard Nami muttering as she struck a Rondouillard. "Seriously, flying without wings… And I thought we'd seen everything possible with Luffy."

I couldn't help but smile at that, but I kept my focus on eliminating the creatures. Traverse Town was ours; we just had to clear it out.

Down below, Luffy fought with impressive efficiency. He charged straight toward the Soldiers, his arms stretching like elastic with each punch. "Gum Gum Pistol!" he shouted, sending his fists into the crowd, knocking down several Soldiers at once. Each hit sent the Sans-cœur flying across the district, their bodies disintegrating on impact.

Nami, on her end, stayed a bit more in the background, watching the Rondouillards with slight hesitation. These round, sturdy creatures were known for their resilience, especially to close combat. Luffy approached a Rondouillard and punched it with all his might, a confident smile on his face. But the blow literally bounced back, causing no damage.

"What?!" Luffy exclaimed, looking surprised and slightly annoyed.

I glanced down from the air and gestured to Nami. "Use your spells on them!"

She nodded, gathering her courage, then raised her staff. She muttered a few words, and a Thunder spell struck the Rondouillard directly. This time, the creature grimaced under the effect of the magic, its body trembling before disintegrating. The success encouraged Nami, and she began chaining spells, zapping multiple Rondouillards in a row.

Luffy, seeing this, burst out laughing. "That's awesome, Nami! Keep it up!" he said as he took out another row of Soldiers with his Gum Gum Bazooka attack, his arms extending impressively to send the creatures flying through the air.

We quickly finished clearing the First District, but I feared that the Third District would have a third more enemies along with the Armure gardienne, which would make things more complicated in the next difficulty modes.

I turned to Luffy, who still had a broad smile on his face, as if he wasn't concerned at all about what was coming next. "Luffy, for the Rondouillards, attack their heads or backs. That's where they're vulnerable."

He nodded, his serious expression quickly replaced by his usual excitement. "Alright! I'll smash their heads!" he said, laughing and ready for the next round.

I glanced at Nami, who seemed to be glowing, a big smile lighting up her face. "I see you have a preference for thunder," I said with a smile.

She blushed slightly, visibly embarrassed but pleased with her new ability. "Yes, thank you for that, Jordan. These new powers… it's incredible! I never thought I'd be able to cast spells like this. Thanks to you, I can actually defend myself against these creatures."

I smiled, happy to see her so enthusiastic. "No problem. With a little training, you'll get even better. For now, just focus on what you're doing well."

Meanwhile, Luffy approached the large door leading to the Third District, trying to pull it open with all his strength. "Argh! It's locked," he groaned, clearly frustrated.

I walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Let's go; I saw a door behind that shop when I was flying over the district. It leads straight to the Second District," I said, pointing in the direction.

We headed to the door I had spotted. As soon as we opened it, we were immediately greeted by a wave of Sans-cœur. Soldiers, Rondouillards, Nocturnes rouges, Opéras jaunes, Rhapsodies bleues, and Requiem verts were all present, moving in masses throughout the Second District.

This time, there were two-thirds more enemies in this district, and the density of Sans-cœur made the atmosphere feel even more oppressive.

I took a deep breath and glanced at Luffy. "Ready?"

He nodded enthusiastically. "Gum Gum... Pistol!" he shouted, charging at the group of Soldiers heading straight for us. His fist extended like elastic, striking several Sans-cœur at once, sending them flying through the air before they disintegrated.

Meanwhile, I took to the air again, focusing on the Nocturnes rouges, Opéras jaunes, Rhapsodies bleues, and Requiem verts. These small flying creatures were already casting their spells at me, but to my delight, their attacks had no effect.

I summoned several dark energy balls, launching them in all directions, targeting the Nocturnes rouges and Opéras jaunes first. Explosions briefly lit up the square as the creatures disintegrated under my attacks. Fortunately, all the little mage Sans-cœur focused on me, despite their attacks being ineffective.

Below, Luffy was dealing with the Rondouillards, this time following my advice. He leaped into the air, aiming for the head of a Rondouillard with his extended arms. "Gum Gum... Hammer!" he shouted, slamming the Sans-cœur directly on the head. The impact echoed, and the creature collapsed heavily to the ground, disintegrating upon impact.

Nami, on her part, was beginning to gain confidence in her new powers. She took a step forward, extended her hand, and cast a thunder spell directly at a Rondouillard approaching her. The spell hit the creature head-on, making it tremble before it disintegrated into a cloud of darkness.

"Yes!" she exclaimed, a proud smile on her lips.

I continued to take care of the flying creatures, wiping out the Rhapsodies bleues with Fire spells, while neutralizing the Requiem verts with precise dark energy balls, as they were immune to the other three elemental spells. Once the flyers were eliminated, I quickly descended to join my two companions.

Luffy had almost finished off the Soldiers, his favorite technique being to stretch his arms and hit multiple enemies at once. "Gum Gum Bazooka!" he shouted, sending his two arms straight into another wave of Sans-cœur, making them fly in all directions. Luckily, the walls were immune to attacks; otherwise, he would have already destroyed several buildings.

Nami, on the other hand, had gotten used to casting thunder spells, chaining magical attacks with more precision with each strike. She managed to take down another Rondouillard while skillfully dodging the attacks of the remaining Soldiers.

We regrouped in the center of the district, wiping the sweat from our brows. The battle had been more intense this time, but we managed it well. The Second District was clear, and all that was left was to face the Armure gardienne in the Third District.

We cautiously advanced into the Third District, and suddenly, the Armure gardienne fell from the sky with a metallic crash, its parts scattering everywhere. Its massive boots and imposing gauntlets began to float around its hollow torso, while its helmet hovered above, like a disembodied head.

"We need to destroy the boots and gauntlets before we can take it down!" I shouted, gaining altitude and narrowly dodging a gauntlet that flew towards me, trying to hit me like a giant fist.

Luffy laughed from below. "Floating boots and gloves? Easy!"

He jumped into the air, stretching out with his usual flexibility. "Gum Gum... STOMP!" he shouted, aiming directly at the metallic boots. With a mischievous grin, he stomped on one of the boots so hard that it disappeared in a single blow. Luffy laughed like a child. "One down!"

I shook my head, smiling while dodging another gauntlet swing. "Alright, I'll handle these gauntlets then." I spun in the air, evading another flying punch, then focused on the nearest gauntlet. I parried the giant fist before delivering a powerful blow with my Keyblade, causing both gauntlets to vanish at once.

Meanwhile, Luffy took care of the other boot. "Gum Gum... Rifle!" he shouted, striking the second boot and sending it flying across the plaza with a thunderous impact. It landed on a bench, smashing it with a clattering noise before disappearing.

Nami watched the chaos with a smirk, but she didn't remain idle. She raised her hand to the sky, her fingers glowing with electricity. "Thunder! Thunder! Thunder!" she cried, repeatedly casting lightning bolts at the Armure gardienne's floating torso. Electricity crackled around the armor, making it shake and tremble under the hits. Each bolt sent sparks flying and made the torso spin wildly, like a crazed top.

"Hey, you're going to make it take off!" I joked as I watched the armor twist and turn under Nami's attacks.

Luffy, seeing that everything was in place, stepped back a few meters before stretching his arms back, preparing for his final attack. "Gum Gum... BAZOOKA!" he yelled, his arms stretching far behind him before snapping back with colossal force. His fists slammed into the chest of the Armure gardienne, sending it flying through the air like a poorly fitted puzzle piece. The impact was so powerful that the armor shattered into pieces, each one disintegrating into a shower of dark light.

Luffy landed on the ground, shaking his fists with a big smile. "And that's that, all done!" he said, clearly proud of himself.

Nami, still glowing after casting her thunder spell, turned to us, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "That was... a bit too easy, wasn't it?"

I laughed as I gently descended to join them. "That's because it's on easy mode," I said as we were teleported back outside.

A message suddenly appeared in my mind:

Luffy wins Royal Shield

Nami gains the Thunder Immunity ability

Jordan gains 150 Soldiers, 30 Rondouillards, 30 Nocturnes rouges, 30 Opéras jaunes, 30 Rhapsodies bleues, 30 Requiem verts, and 1 Armure gardienne (easy).

You have unlocked Traverse Town - Normal Mode.

I blinked as I read the message, then turned to Nami. A playful smile spread across my face as I raised my hand and summoned a small thunder spell, sending it directly toward her.

Nami, surprised, instinctively stepped back, but the spell passed over her without effect. The electricity dissipated into the air without even touching her. She froze for a moment, eyes wide.

"Congratulations, Nami!" I said, smiling. "You're immune to thunder. So probably to all electricity, if my guess is correct."

Before I could continue, Nami grabbed her staff and whacked me on the head, hard enough to make me stumble.

"Idiot!" she yelled, glaring at me. "You scared me, you moron!"

I rubbed my head, laughing nervously. "I just wanted to test your new power..."

"Without warning?! You could have said something before throwing a lightning bolt at me!" she retorted, still furious but a bit amused as well.

While I was getting scolded, Luffy seemed completely absorbed by something else entirely. He was holding a shield in his hands, a wide smile lighting up his face as he inspected it from every angle. The shield was adorned with Mickey's symbol, a royal design that made it look almost... cute.

"Hey, look at this!" Luffy said, clearly excited about his new acquisition. He held the shield up in front of him. "I can use it like... a frisbee!"

Before Nami or I could react, he tossed the shield like a flying disc, and it whizzed through the air at a crazy speed. The shield made a wide arc before coming straight back to him. Luffy caught it with a triumphant laugh, as if it were child's play.

Nami turned to him, arms crossed. "You do realize it's supposed to protect you, not be a toy, right?"

Luffy burst out laughing, completely ignoring the remark. "Yeah, but it's fun too!" He spun the shield on one finger like a basketball.

I finally got back up, still rubbing the spot where Nami had hit me. "Well, between that and thunder immunity, I think we're pretty well equipped now."

Nami rolled her eyes, but I could see an amused smile forming on her lips. "Yeah, if only you could be equipped with some common sense too..." she murmured, shaking her head.

"We'll try Normal Mode of Traverse Town next, and then we can prepare the banquet to welcome Nami into the crew," I said with a grin.

You will be teleported to Traverse Town – Normal Mode – with your team.
