Chapter 9: Chapter 9
"How can that be?"
"Was that sword beam release from a great swordsman?"
"Without a doubt, that sword beam is so formidable that only a great swordsman could release it."
"How did someone so terrifying end up in Logue Town?"
"Quickly issue an order to investigate. Determine if this great swordsman is a pirate. We must proceed with caution if that's the case."
The navy, shocked and horrified, fell into tense silence. In case this great swordsman was a pirate, the naval base stood no chance if he decided to attack. Confirming his identity was imperative.
"Smoker, you're in charge of the investigation."
"Understood."
Meanwhile, as Ron and Grace discussed the technique of sword drawing and the two-sword style, the Logue Town naval base buzzed with activity. The base commander issued an order to investigate the arrival of the formidable swordsman. This was no minor issue.
In Grace's kendo dojo, Grace poured tea for Ron and spoke respectfully, "The cultivation methods for sword drawing and two sword style are as follows. With your natural talents Mr. Ron, I believe you can master them in just a few days."
Ron sipped his tea thoughtfully and replied, "Well, I must admit my learning talent is far from exceptional. When I was learning swordplay before, even the most basic sword style took me three months to grasp, while younger children in the village mastered it in just two weeks."
According to the information from his data panel, skill levels ranged from one to ten as entry-level, twenty as proficient, thirty as skilled, forty as masterful, and fifty as a level achieved by only the most elite.
Ron didn't dwell on the details, but he was aware that his learning talent was quite low. However, with endless skill points at his disposal, the only real challenge he faced was reaching the entry-level.
"Mr. Grace, I appreciate your hospitality and your willingness to teach me these two sword skills so I won't let your efforts go to waste," Ron said earnestly.
"Mr. Ron, you're too polite. Teaching these two sword skills to you is both an honor for me and my dojo. I opened this kendo dojo with the intent to pass on our school's swordsmanship. After all, if we keep our knowledge to ourselves, how can it thrive? So, Mr. Ron, please don't hesitate."
"Mr. Grace, your kindness is much appreciated" Ron smiled and inquired, "Do you happen to know if there's a blacksmith in Logue Town?"
"A blacksmith?" Grace looked momentarily surprised, then glanced at the sword by Ron's side and replied with a smile, "Certainly, for someone of your stature, a regular famous sword wouldn't do you justice. Well, you must have your reasons."
Ron smiled mysteriously, exuding an air of other worldly wisdom.
"Speaking of blacksmiths, Logue Town does have a few renowned ones, but they mainly craft swords at the level of fine and swift blades, and obtaining one in a year is a challenge, and It would also be difficult for them to assist you, given your status as a pirate," Grace explained hesitantly.
"Hmm" Ron nodded and said, "Actually, I'm not looking to commission a sword; I just want to learn the art of blacksmithing. Mr. Grace, if you could direct me to an ordinary blacksmith, I'd be grateful. No need for me to seek out those famous ones."
For Ron, there was little difference between a famous blacksmith and a lesser-known one. In fact, a renowned blacksmith might teach more advanced and intricate techniques, which he didn't need at the moment. He wanted to start with the basics.
Ron could learn a basic sword-casting skill first, maximize its level, understand the perfected form of basic blacksmithing, and then learn other techniques. It would be like what he was doing now with Grace's two sword techniques; without his enhanced abilities, it would have taken him much longer to learn them.
Grace's two sword cultivation methods had already passed through Ron's mind, and with his comprehension, he could learn them in a matter of days at most and then begin allocating skill points.
However, blacksmithing was new to him, so learning the first blacksmithing technique might take more time.
"Finding an blacksmith is easy. If you don't mind, I can take you to one. There's a man not far from our dojo who supplies most of the weapons here. While they may not be famous swords, they're practical," Grace offered.
"No trouble at all, Mr. Grace," Ron replied with a smile. It seemed that in addition to being a valuable mentor, Grace might also be a helpful connection in the world of swordsmanship and blacksmithing."
