Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Ask Hawkeye Mihawk for Knowledge.
"The big...the sea...the sea has been split open!!!"
For a moment, everyone was left speechless, jaws dropped in shock.
"What happened?!" Even Luffy and the others, who had already anticipated Su Yi's strength, were wide-eyed and incredulous.
"This is... what kind of power..." The knowledgeable old man Zeff among those present felt his heart race; his pupils constricted in disbelief at what he was witnessing.
He couldn't believe that a young boy possessed such terrifying strength!
However, the one responsible for this spectacle, Su Yi, had already set off alone in a small boat.
He was going after Mihawk.
After all, he had finally encountered a world-class powerhouse, and a friendly one at that. He had to seize this opportunity.
"Hey, Mr. Mihawk, can you wait for me?"
Soon after, Su Yi finally caught up with Mihawk.
Mihawk silently stowed away the black blade he had been using to row and regarded Su Yi with a scrutinizing gaze.
Su Yi pretended not to notice and said, "Mr. Mihawk, I have a question for you."
Hawkeye glanced out at the distant sea. "You made such a powerful attack; you must not be weak, right? Do you really need to ask me?"
Su Yi smiled, "Didn't you just say that only a top-tier powerhouse can see the gap between you and the others?"
Mihawk smirked, "But your strength is not that of a top-tier powerhouse in the New World; you're at best a second-rate."
After a pause, he continued, "Now tell me, what is your purpose? Are you challenging me?"
Su Yi quickly waved his hand, "I'm not a swordsman; I just want to know how to cultivate Haki."
That's right; Su Yi's objective was to ask Hawkeye how to practice Haki.
He possessed Nem, an ability somewhat akin to Haki.
However, he was still curious about Haki's effects.
Moreover, he suspected that if he learned Haki and combined it with his mind powers, it could yield extraordinary results!
While there were descriptions of Haki cultivation in the anime and manga, they were merely simplified explanations.
Hoping to cultivate Haki based solely on those methods would be foolish.
Therefore, asking a strong individual who understood Haki was the quickest way.
"Haki isn't something you can easily cultivate. If you want to learn it, be prepared for a long journey—years, in fact. Some people can't even learn it in a lifetime."
Hawkeye was indeed a patient powerhouse, explaining Su Yi's question in detail.
"If you can, just give me the key points. Whether I can practice it or not will depend on my luck," Su Yi said.
Hawkeye chuckled, "You really speak plainly. Regardless, I'll tell you. After all, having one more strong person in this world makes my life more interesting."
He then began to explain Haki to Su Yi in depth.
Half an hour later...
"Searched to death..." Su Yi exclaimed, finally grasping Haki's essence.
"Goodbye, then, Mr. Mihawk. See you at the Grand Line." Su Yi prepared to bid farewell to Hawkeye.
"Hehe, an interesting guy," Mihawk observed as Su Yi walked away, then drew his black sword again and resumed rowing.
...
...
...
Sea Restaurant.
The battle had reached a boiling point.
After Su Yi demonstrated that terrifying blow that split the sea, everyone first fell into a brief shock.
Then they realized that Su Yi had vanished.
Krieg, with his misguided judgment, declared, "This guy must be afraid of me, so he ran away! You all know what to do—I'm invincible, kill them all!"
The pirates, believing that even Hawkeye and the man who split the sea had fled in fear of their leader, became increasingly reckless.
They rampaged through the restaurant on the sea.
Eventually, the plot began to unfold as expected.
After an intense fight, only Luffy and Krieg remained on the battlefield.
Despite the disbelief of Krieg's crew, Luffy managed to defeat him.
The Krieg Pirates fled in a dilapidated boat.
"Finally, finally over..."
Luffy sighed in relief.
Exhausted, he collapsed and fell asleep.
Sanji, sitting nearby, lit a cigarette and began to smoke.
"His-fur--"
After a cigarette, he was as happy as a fairy.
"Sanji, are you really unwilling to join this group on their journey at sea?"
Zeff approached Sanji.
Sanji fell silent. "Old man, you know it's impossible for me..."
"Bag Ya Lu!" Zeff suddenly punched Sanji in the back of the head, knocking him into the sea.
"Did I rescue you just to have you mope around with me?!"
"I saved your life, but I want you to go see ALL BLUE instead of me!"
"You look so hopeless now, I really regret saving you back then!"
Sanji crawled out of the sea, embarrassed.
Onlookers stared at Zeff in disbelief. "Old man..."
"Sanji-kun, since Boss Zeff has made it so clear, I may have to resort to force to kidnap you."
A figure appeared on the deck, and both turned to see it was Su Yi, who had returned.
At this moment, his face was flushed, and he appeared very pleased.
"Oh, isn't this our big pirate returning? In that case, I'll leave this incompetent kid Sanji to you." With that, Mr. Zeff tossed the burden onto Su Yi and walked away.
"Old man..." Sanji wanted to protest.
Boom!
Su Yi pulled out a hammer and knocked Sanji unconscious.
"Tsk tsk, all that moaning; I wonder if you're even a man."
He then picked up Luffy, "Don't sleep outside; if you fall into the water, that would be bad."
He carried both Sanji and Luffy into the cabin.
Zoro and Usopp remained behind, with Usopp tending to the injured Zoro alongside Johnny and Yosaku.
"Yeah, ah, ah, the main force is injured. How are we supposed to fight in the next battle?"
Looking at Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji lying in bed asleep, Su Yi rubbed his forehead in frustration.
Well, they still had a long way to go to Cocoyashi Village, so it wasn't impossible to recover on the road.
"Next, let Sanji say goodbye to everyone at the sea restaurant, and then we'll set off to find our navigator."
