Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Set sail, the Golden Merry!
"The supplies on the ship have been prepared for you; be careful on your journey."
Kaya and Merry said goodbye to Su Yi and the others on the side of the Golden Merry.
Meanwhile, Usopp was sitting in a small boat, bidding farewell to Kaya.
"Kaya, I'm leaving to live adventures more incredible than the ones I've bragged about! When I return, I'll definitely tell you all about these adventures!"
He then told everyone on the Golden Merry, "Goodbye, maybe we'll meet again out at sea in the future."
"Hey, what are you talking about? Get on board quickly!" Zoro, holding a knife, was already getting a bit impatient.
"Aren't we friends already?" Luffy said with a smile.
Usopp: ...
"Yo, I want to be the captain!"
"I'm the captain!" Luffy shouted!
Su Yi set sail, the sea breeze shook the sails, and the Golden Merry cut through the ocean like a sharp sword, heading into the depths of the vast sea.
"Oh, the sun is shining and there are no clouds in the sky; what a beautiful day," Usopp said triumphantly, waving a wooden stick in the boat.
"Hey, Luffy, isn't it time we get our own pirate flag?"
Su Yi pointed to the observation deck of the Golden Merry but still remembered the mistake he made.
Raise the Straw Hat Pirates flag; otherwise, this pirate crew will fail miserably.
"Yo! Let me draw the pirate flag! I'm really good at drawing!" Luffy declared.
A sense of ominous premonition filled the hearts of the others.
Five minutes later.
"Well, it's done."
Luffy pulled out an extremely ugly pirate flag. One could say that being able to draw it to this point was a skill.
"What are you painting? Let me do it."
Usopp finally took on the responsibility of the pirate flag.
However, just like in the original story, the first time he painted the flag based on himself.
The second time, it was a skull with a straw hat and a smiling face.
"Yo! Paint on the canvas too!"
...
"It's so boring... When am I going to find a restaurant out at sea?"
I don't know how much time passed,
Luffy finally started to feel a bit bored.
Only Usopp continued to struggle with the excitement of just boarding.
"Hey, I found some cannonballs here; maybe I can play with them."
Suddenly, Zoro pulled out some cannonballs from the cabin.
"Yo! I'll go first, I'll go first!"
Luffy rushed to load a projectile into the cannon and lit the fuse.
Whoosh - bang!!!
Unexpectedly, the projectile from this cannonball was surprisingly powerful, and it directly smashed a reef sticking out of the sea in the distance.
"Dammit!! Dammit!!! Dammit!!"
Luffy stood there with his mouth agape, surprised by himself.
Usopp, on the side, also looked at Luffy with confusion. He didn't expect that Luffy would hit the target without knowing what he was aiming at.
"What kind of luck is this?" Zoro, on the side, was also stunned, unable to believe what he was seeing.
"Uh," Su Yi, who was familiar with the plot, had just gone to the bathroom when he realized that Luffy and the others were in trouble.
Indeed, not long after, a boat approached.
"Who is it! Bastards! Hit us with cannonballs!"
A man with a long knife shouted angrily.
"Johnny?" Zoro suddenly recognized him.
"Big brother Zoro?" The other party immediately recognized Zoro.
It turned out that this was a younger brother that Zoro had received when he was a bounty hunter.
"Brother Zoro, you must avenge us. Yosaku and I were resting on the reef, but suddenly a cannonball flew in from somewhere and broke the reef."
Johnny started to cry; he and the others were having really bad luck—this luck was comparable to being hit by a truck when you step outside!
"Nani!"
Luffy and Usopp were shocked.
They didn't expect that casually firing a cannonball would hit their own people.
They could only quickly bow and apologize.
"Where is Yosaku? Where is he?" Zoro asked a crucial question.
"Yosaku, Yosaku is about to die, big brother Zoro..." Johnny exclaimed. It was truly miserable for the two of them. Yosaku was about to rest on the reef, but he got blown away by a cannonball.
After bringing Yosaku on board,
Nami stepped forward, and after some glances, suddenly said, "He has septicemia, which is a disease that often occurs at sea. The reason is that you haven't ingested plant-based nutrition for a long time. Isn't that common sense?"
"Sister! Is there any help for Yosaku...?" Johnny quickly grabbed Nami and asked anxiously.
"There are some limes in the cabin. Give him the juice from the limes. If it's not too severe, he can still be saved," Nami said.
"Sister, you're such a beautiful and kind-hearted person." Johnny thanked her and went to look for limes with Luffy.
Shortly after drinking enough juice, Yosaku got up and danced with Johnny to celebrate.
"Hey, Luffy, it seems imperative to find a chef. A chef at sea is really important; otherwise, I don't know what we'll do," Nami said.
Luffy nodded, "Well, then I need to get to the Sea Restaurant as soon as possible; they have some of the best chefs in East Blue."
