Chapter 40: The Rose Arbor
"It's Finished!" Jeanne suddenly declared as she ran out of the galley. Down to the other three on the deck
"It's done?!" Leroy said, hopping from his spot and running over.
"Yep! Tada!" She said, unfurling a black flag, posing with it.
Across the Fabric was a White Skull with a shaped tooth smile. Two bones crossed behind it. Across the head of the skull, was a red bandana.
"Look at that! Hahaha! The Red Sash Pirates very own Jolly Roger!"
"So thats our name huh? Red Sash Pirates?" Kirk cocked a brow. Kirk had Designed a Sketch, And Jeanne had Sowed it and stained it onto the Fabric, Kale Cutting the fabric to begin with.
"Yeah! I think one of the guys before called me Red Sash...And I think it fits! Which means that we'd be the Red Sash Pirates!"
"Thats why I put the sash on the head!" Jeanne said pointing to the Red on the head of the skull. "Leroy had told me thats what we were called. So I used that as the idea!"
"But. Why the head?" Kirk questioned.
"Why not?" The Captain retorted.
"Yeah, I don't see why not. Almost all Jolly Rogers I've seen got the whole skull thing goin on. And it'd be kinda hard to put a skeleton with a sash on it."
"Yeah! And I've worn my sash on my head before, so its not exactly weird!" Leroy shrugged.
"Good enough for me I guess." Kirk dismissed it.
"Will you be able to get that on the main sail Jeanne?" Leroy turned to her as she folded it back and began walking to the crows nest.
"Yeah! I'm sure I'll have it done before we get to the Rose Arbor!"
*
After that.
It'd been around 5 days in total since they'd left mirror ball. The memory of what had happened with the sex trafficking ring had already begun fading from the captains mind. There wasn't much to dwell on. At least he thought so. They won. He got the women to safety and rescued Kale. But...seeing all that. It'd stay with him. He'd be lying if at least once he caught himself thinking back to it late at night.
Thats when Leroy began to stir from his nap. The smell of the sea spray filling his nostrils as the Ship bobbed against the waves.
He wondered if he was still in the Board Sea. They spent quite awhile searching the Board Sea, but didn't find the Rose Arbor.
Rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He saw something come over the horizon. It looked to be a ship...Yet it was stationary . A few ships seemed to be...Ported next to it? What was going on? Oh! It must've been the Rose Arbor! The Ship that they were talking about!
It was like a floating building.
It was like multiple ships stacked on top of one another, and expertly fused together. Decks of ships coming out the back serving as balconies. Huge Decks floating next attached to the sides of the ship to serve as docks, there was a large open space out the front which looked almost to be rimmed by the petals of flower. The top of the Ship was like a typical single story building with circular windows. And a top the building was what looked to be a short lighthouse. Then finally, there was the bottom section of the boat, that made the ship look like it was put into a bowl, with curved edges around the rim.
Large letters against the side of the ship, sitting above the middle section balcony were the words 'ROSE ARBOR'
"HAHA! There it is! Jeanne do you see it! It's huge!" He said with a point
Jeanne suddenly snapped to attention a top the Crows nest, picking up her spy glass and looking over the edge. "Yeah! I see it!"
Kále dropped his weights, this time lighter than before as to not irritate the Navigator. Looking to the Horizon.
Kirk was inside the kitchen as they spotted the restaurant, finishing up a pitcher of lemonade for the whole crew whenever they wanted it. Being absolutely no waste, he was even putting the peels of the lemons into the drink to soak and pollute the water even more with the taste of lemon. He had been craving it recently, especially now when he was given the luxury of getting to relax out in the sun.
Hearing the shouts from Leroy, he peeked his head out of the door. Kirk looked quite surprised. "Wow, there really is just a restaurant out here! Let's hope it's good!" Yeah. Even if he had known the section. He kinda had his doubts.
Within only a few minutes the Horizons Palm had sailed its way towards the floating restaurant and had docked near the back end of the stern on the other side of the ship from where the other ships were docked. Another entrance deck. Just as big as the one on the other side, but empty of ships.
After putting the lemonade up in the fridge to chill for later, he hurried down to the bridge and parked the ship in an empty space before almost having to chase right after Leroy to make sure he didn't just bust into the building.
The crew dropped the boarding plank and began walking down and onto the Dock
Leroy saw someone near the doors that seemed to be a waiter. They wore glasses and a simple button up.
"Hey! Do you work here!"
The man was taken a back by the question. It seemed pretty obvious that he had indeed worked there. His brow furrowed and pinched into a confused stare. "Uhh...Yes. Welcome to the Rose Arbor. How many is in your party?"
He asked with a small bow and walking over to a podium and flipping open a book
Leroy smiled as he turned around and counted heads. "Four! Actually say. Where are we? What region are we in currently?"
Kirk some secondhand embarrassment as Leroy made himself look like a bit of a fool, already getting ready to knock some sense into him if he acted like an idiot in the restaurant.
'Is this kid serious?' The waiter thought to himself. How did someone find their way here and not know? "We're obviously in the east blue. But we're just off the Konomi Region. About a few hours north west of here."
The Fishman perked up a bit all of a sudden though, hearing the word 'Konomi'. "Wait, really? We're that close?" Kirk blinked a few times in surprise. He didn't realize they were that far northwest to get that close. It seemed to eventually pass his thoughts and he seemed more focused on the actual restaurant.
"Yes, I'm sure you expected us to be in The Board Sea, but due to one of our specials, we've sailed out of the region to fish freshly. Just for the Special."
"Yeah I figured we east blue." He gave a snarky smile to the man
"Well in any case. If you all would now be so kind as to follow me. We'll get you all seated!" He said with a sigh and a nod before regaining his composure and straightening out his back, then pulled a few menus from within the podium before opening the doors and leading the Crew in.
The Inside was...Beatuiful. Leroy's eyes widened as he saw the inside. The Murals that displayed across the walls. The ceiling. The hanging chandeliers. The way the tables were splayed across the ground. The booths! Multiple floors with expertly crafted railings. The carpet cleaned, a vibrant red with swirls of black through it.
Wait, booths! A booth! Thats where they should sit!
"Hey! Waiter! Could we Get Seated at that one!"
Leroy had come up behind the man and pointed at the empty Booth. Invading the mans personal space dreadfully. He grimaced as the pirate Pointed "Ah jeez kid! Watch it! Yeah yeah! Fine!"
Leroy Simply smiled as he ran up to the booth and slid into the middle of it. The perfect spot for a captain!
"C'mon guys!" He said excitedly as he patted the seats next to him
