ONE PIECE: Dawn of a New Era

Chapter 23: So Long, Orange Town!

Back to the deck, just below the the main mast, was a hatch on the floor that could be opened up, and would reveal pegs on the Mast to climb down into the what was turned into the quarters.

The entire second floor of the ship was turned into the Crew Quarters. One long room with couches, 5 bunkbeds, hammocks, couches, tables, two wardrobes, a writing desk, a bookshelf, a small bar with booze, and a weapon rack. And even a ceiling fan "AH MAN! I should keep my trophies here!" Spoke Leroy

And Finally Each room on the ship had a lamp. With the only remaining parts being the Bilge and Ballast. Which was where sea water and heavy material were stored to keep balance.

There was a pump for the bilge was near the deck. Out of sight. This was, in it's entirety, The Palm of the Horizon. Horizon's Palm. What have you. The Men had called it quite a few different names.

"WOW! This thing is Awesome!" Shouted Leroy as they finished the tour. Looking up at the raised sails, and the blank white flag. "Now...The Only thing it's missin' is a jolly roger. And the fact we're not all on it and sailing out of here." He said giving a deviously mischievous smirk looking over to kirk.

Kirk was... very impressed. Finally! A wonderful ship for him to steer! While it wasn't going to be as zippy and compact as their old tugboat, it was magnificent. There would be so much more room too.. it would definitely be needed if Leroy kept up asking random people to join his crew.

Of course, he didn't mind too much, seeing how useful Jeanne would be. It was odd that Leroy kept managing to pinpoint useful people as soon as he saw them though. Hell, she was a devil fruit user! And Kirk himself was secretly self-proclaimed the best navigator in the East Blue.

Jeanne smiled as she saw the young man atop the deck of the Palm. "Oy there! Captain! Permission to come aboard!" She would shout with a renewed energy. She didn't know what it was, but something about this situation was stirring something within her.

Perhaps she had outgrown this sleepy little town and was subconsciously longing for some adventure? She would turn her head and give Orange Town one final look while on its shores.

She would definitely miss this place at least. Perhaps she could come back after this grand adventure and make something of this sleepy little town? Only time would tell.

'Ive always wanted to say this!' The young captain thought to himself as he spoke

"Permission Granted. Welcome Aboard!"

Jeanne came aboard, and beamed as she walked on board, hefting the cart behind her. as Kirk Spoke.

"Well, unless that Jeanne is an artist, we aren't going to have a Jolly Roger for a bit.. buuuut, I can sure fix that last thing!" He had already snuck their treasure and supplies on board. As if he was going to let anyone else do it, they might realize what was in it! He was like a mother bear over his money, clearly.

"Allllright, I'll start getting everything ready then!" Back in his good mood, he started to head down towards where the capstan was to lift the anchor. On his way, his ear twitched and he looked down over the ship at their new crewmate, shooting her a quick wave before going on with his task.

"Leroy! Can you help lower the sails? I got the anchor!"

"Sure thing!" Rushing over to the rigging.

Leroy Grabbed hold of the rope, and the ease of access Rigging and let down the sail in the right position in only a few short moments It was far easier with the modification done by the crew of men than having dozens of men doing the rigging.

This meant only One person was needed to set sail!

"And hey, if Jeannes an artist! I'm sure she'll have plenty of ideas!"

He said adjusting his red sash and walking up to the bow before sitting on the back of the hand It was...Strangely symbolic seeing the captain on the figure head that looked like a hand on a ship called 'Horizons Palm'

"I'm going to go put my stuff away gentlemen. I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about underway.", Jeanne would say as she returned to the heaping cart. Entering the store room to begin putting everything away. She would probably need to find a nice quiet place in the ship to turn into her own little workshop. First everyone had to get settled into this lovely little caravel.

Else Where. At the Marine Headquarters in The Grand Line.

"Another Notorious Pirate in the East Blue has been Taken down by this Falcon D. Leroy." Spoke Marine HQ Commodore Geld. A Commodore with long facial hair across his upper lip with a set of Bifocals on the edge of his nose. Long flowing marine 'Justice' Jacket off his shoulders while beneath he wore a collared short sleeved shirt. He was the Chief Advisor of giving out Bounties to Pirates, where the number was then given to printing companies as well as World Government printers.

A Marine laughed "Seems like he's doing our job for us! Garhaha!"

The Marine Commodore Stopped and beaded his eye on the marine "Wrong. He is causing more Problems for disturbing the peace and our carefully made status quo! There is a process to doing things in the world, and he's one of a myriad of kinks in the cogs!"

These Marines had been here already. Only days prior had they been sitting on their knees in this old fashioned styled room for this Falcon after the defeat of Bonney made rounds, and Then Ruger Strap, One of their own! But by that time they hadn't had a picture.

"Rojo Frock. Red Coat. 25,500,00 berries. An unknown assailant seems to be a collaborator for this Leroy seemed to have been at the scene helping Take out Frocks Crew. Which would tack on nearly 10,000,000 given major names among, from Kenny, to Swallo. On Top of The Bounty from Bonney. Already gives this man a bounty higher than his home blue."

"The Marine Photographer says that Leroy's most standout feature is the Sash he wears. Seems to never be seen without it. Which means we know have a code name for his file..." Slapping a poster that had been printed only an hour before he revealed the bounty of the pirate. And the Epithet Adopted to the File

Red Sash Leroy!

"Falcon D. Leroy! 56,000,000 Berry!"

The Poster was Leroy looking at the viewer (Who had been hidden) with fiery eyes filled with conviction and blood covering his face in a wide almost evil sneer.
