It's well-known that Zoan and Paramecia-type Devil Fruits have an "Awakening" state.
Among them, awakened Paramecia Fruits grant the ability to manipulate the properties of substances outside one's own body, mimicking the effects of Logia Fruits.
Zoan Fruits, particularly the Mythical Zoans, provide significant boosts to physical attributes upon awakening, enhancing recovery and stamina.
Many enthusiasts admire the Mythical Zoans, considering them incredibly powerful due to their unique traits.
They not only offer the standard benefits of Zoan Fruits but also allow the user to control elements like fire or lightning.
By comparison, Logia users often fall out of favour in popular discussions.
However, as Arashi maxed out his mastery of the Goro Goro no Mi (Rumble-Rumble Fruit), he instantly realized that his Logia abilities were far from obsolete.
It wasn't clear if this state could be called an "Awakening," but he felt a torrent of endless power surging from an unknown source, filling his body.
His control over lightning, his ability to sense his surroundings, and his mastery of manipulation were enhanced exponentially.
Even more astonishing was a new, peculiar ability that emerged—a manifestation of something deeper.
He perceived an imposing, icy gaze descending from the void, peering into his soul.
It felt as though the Devil Fruit had taken on a tangible form, revealing a demonic, monstrous shadow.
"What... is that?" Arashi murmured in surprise. He vaguely saw what might be the true essence of the Devil Fruit.
Around his body, blue ribbons of energy shimmered and danced, their ethereal light flickering in and out of sight.
"A transformation, like Nika's?" Arashi began to comprehend the changes his fully-leveled Devil Fruit had undergone.
Whether this transformation represented a standard Logia Awakening or was a unique gift from his abilities, one thing was clear: this power was extraordinary.
At this moment, Arashi's strength had undoubtedly reached the pinnacle of the world.
With both Armament Haki and Conqueror's Haki fully mastered, combined with the versatile power of the Goro Goro no Mi, he was a force to be reckoned with.
Yet, a weakness persisted—his Observation Haki. Without this critical skill, Arashi often found himself a step behind in combat.
While he could handle ordinary opponents without issue, his recent battle with Sengoku and Zephyr highlighted this flaw.
Even with his domain aiding him, the absence of Observation Haki meant some attacks were still unavoidable.
"I can't believe I couldn't take them down while holding back," he lamented. "I still need to improve!"
Now, with the Goro Goro no Mi fully mastered, Arashi felt his strength grow once more. Curious to test the extent of this newfound power, he disappeared from view with a flicker of his body.
Moments later, he reappeared above an uninhabited island. "Let's see what this new power can do," he muttered.
His robes billowed as arcs of lightning crackled around him, forming ethereal ribbons that wrapped around his neck, waist, and legs.
The blue-violet colour gave off an aura of majesty.
A thunder emblem appeared on his bare chest, its design depicting a jet-black qilin standing atop thunderclouds.
Arashi's black hair lengthened, cascading to his waist, as it danced in the wind with streaks of electricity coursing through it.
Behind his head, a glowing purple ring of electricity materialized.
He clenched his fists, and a thunderous roar echoed as arcs of lightning extended for miles.
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The sound of drums reverberated, as four enormous drums adorned with tomoe patterns floated behind him.
In an instant, a blue-violet light engulfed him, transforming his appearance.
His features sharpened, his nose and mouth becoming more defined, giving him an eerily handsome and commanding visage.
His eyes gleamed with divine authority as if he were a god wielding the power of lightning to dominate the heavens.
"Raijin," Arashi murmured.
He understood now. This form was akin to Nika's Awakening, where the essence of the Devil Fruit awakened from the soul, granting mastery over its elemental power.
In this state, his body could transform freely, and his control over lightning had reached unprecedented levels.
With a mere thought, thunder roared across a 100,000-meter radius, lightning flashing into existence from nothingness.
"The range and intensity… they've grown again," he observed.
"My strength, reactions, and speed have all doubled as well."
"Is this the true Awakening?" Arashi clenched his fists, unsure.
With the Goro Goro no Mi at its peak, he could now perceive and command the very essence of lightning.
Yet, he felt he had only scratched the surface of its potential.
"Still," he mused, "with this power if I were to face Sengoku and Zephyr again…"
He smirked confidently. "I wouldn't die this time—and I could end it easily."
Despite his current strength, Arashi suspected that the full potential of a maxed-out Logia Fruit was far greater, requiring prolonged exploration and mastery.
With a flicker, he vanished in a bolt of lightning. Upon returning to the G-18 stronghold, Arashi marvelled at the speed his new power afforded him.
"I've reached the limits of lightning speed," he noted.
Eating a Devil Fruit didn't automatically grant mastery over all its powers. It required time and effort to develop.
For example, even Kizaru's speed with the Pika Pika no Mi had improved dramatically over the years.
"Still, I need to master Observation Haki," he sighed.
"With that, combined with my enhanced domain, nothing could escape my sight."
Arashi shook his head in frustration. Observation Haki had always been his weakness, despite his talents in other areas.
Moments later, he saw a Marine warship docking nearby. On its bow stood a burly man wearing a dog-headed hat, snoring soundly even as he stood.
The guards at the gate froze in shock at the sight of the ship and its figurehead.
"Vice Admiral Garp!"
"The Hero of the Marines!"
The news quickly spread throughout the base. Eveya, Arashi's adjutant, rushed to him with a panicked expression.
"Bad news, sir! Vice Admiral Garp is here!"
Arashi, however, simply smiled, his expression calm. "I've seen him."
From the moment that the Marine warship entered within a 50,000-meter radius of the base, Arashi had already sensed its approach.
In that instant, he could almost predict what the Marines and the World Government might be planning.
"Are you not worried at all?" Eveya asked nervously.
"Worried about what?" Arashi chuckled. "He's my teacher, after all."
With that, Arashi stood up and headed outside. Moments later, the warship sailed into the inner bay and docked at the port.
The Marines stationed at G-18 Fortress anxiously watched the scene unfold, their expressions tense.
They feared that their commanding officer and the legendary hero might clash.
After all, Vice Admiral Garp's reputation was just as formidable as their commander's. If the two truly fought, it was impossible to predict the victor.
Finally, the figure standing at the ship's prow stretched lazily and let out a long yawn.
"Brat! Do I have to personally come and greet you?!" Garp's thunderous voice echoed as he bent his knees slightly.
To everyone's shock, the front half of the dog-headed warship sank under the force, while the rear tilted dramatically upward.
In the next instant, the burly man with the square face launched himself into the air, soaring hundreds of meters high.
"You've caused such a commotion! It's time for your old teacher to teach you a lesson!"
Garp roared mid-air, perfectly suspended as his right fist pulled back into a charged position. The air crackled with static electricity.
Standing on the balcony outside his office, Arashi watched Garp's incoming strike with a smile on his face.
"We're doomed! Vice Admiral Garp has come to capture you, Commander!" Ivya exclaimed in terror.
Not far away, Crocodile and Bullet stood solemnly, their gazes locked on the figure suspended in mid-air. In the next moment, Garp threw his punch.
The pressure in the air at the base shifted dramatically, and everyone felt a faint breeze sweep across their faces.
Suddenly, Arashi's figure vanished in a flash of lightning, reappearing mid-air to meet Garp.
His right hand clenched into a fist, swirling with black and red energy.
"How could I not welcome you, Garp-sensei?" Arashi said with a grin as he swung his fist forward.
The two fists collided fiercely in the sky.
Boom!
Crackle!
The thunderous sound of impact echoed as lightning streaked through the air, and a strong gust of wind rushed past, brushing over the heads of everyone below.
"Not bad, brat! You've gotten even stronger!" Garp said with a wide grin, his eyes narrowing in satisfaction.
"No wonder Sengoku and Zephyr are still out cold after facing you."
Garp descended gracefully back onto the dog-headed warship, while Arashi landed on the port below, standing directly in front of him.
"Welcome to G-18 Fortress, Sensei," Arashi said with a broad smile.
This man standing before him was the very person who had saved him during a moment of despair and mentored him to become who he is today.
He was, without a doubt, someone Arashi deeply respected and owed his life to.
"Brat, you've made something of yourself!" Garp said as he jumped down from the ship.
Approaching Arashi, he glared before delivering a firm punch to his head.
"Ah! That hurts!" Arashi clutched his head, wincing in exaggerated pain.
"Stop pretending! You're too strong for that to hurt anymore," Garp said, half-laughing and half-exasperated.
"Now, find us a quiet place to talk. I've got things to discuss with you."
"Yes, sir!" Arashi straightened up and smiled as he led the way.
In the luxurious estate deep within the base, the two sat cross-legged on the floor with a pot of tea and two cups between them.
Eveya stood nearby, fully alert, serving as the tea attendant in her well-fitted uniform.
The jovial expression on Garp's face faded, replaced by a rare seriousness. After a long silence, he finally spoke in a low voice.
"You did well."
Arashi blinked, confused. "Huh?"
"Rescuing Ohara, beating those three brats, and taking down Sengoku and Zephyr," Garp said, raising his teacup and draining it in one gulp.
"You've got those five old geezers fuming with rage, yet they're forced to grit their teeth and tolerate it."
"They've even had to cover up everything for you. Hahaha!"
Realizing what Garp was referring to, Arashi gave a sheepish grin. "So, Sensei, does that mean you approve of my actions?"
Garp immediately glared. "I never said that! Don't twist my words, brat."
But the glimmer of pride in his eyes was unmistakable.
With a sly smile, Arashi asked, "Then, Sensei, who exactly do you represent by coming here?"
Eveya tactfully stepped forward to refill Garp's cup with tea, filling it to precisely seven-tenths full.
"The World Government," Garp replied bluntly, his tone casual. "More specifically, those five geezers at the top."
"Those old fogeys?" Arashi chuckled. "What did they say?"
Garp's expression turned grave. After a few breaths, he looked Arashi in the eye and said, "They've asked me to reveal your true origins."
"My origins?" Arashi frowned.
"Yes." Garp nodded solemnly.
"Previously, your Marine Headquarters file stated that you were from the West Blue, specifically Ohara."
"But a recent letter from King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta has changed that."
Taking a deep breath, Garp locked eyes with Arashi and declared, "Kid, you're a Celestial Dragon."
"Your real name is Nefertari Arashi"
