The flickering torchlight cast the shadow of a monstrous figure ahead. The figure approached the prison cell, bringing with it a terrifying aura that made hearts tremble.

Fisher Tiger felt a chill run down his spine—the monster of Impel Down actually recognized him.

"The monster is coming!"

The prisoners who had been excited and thrilled just a moment ago suddenly cowered, shivering like frightened quails as they backed away.

It was clear they were eager to witness a battle between the monster and the jailer beasts, but they had no desire to get too close.

"Who are you?" Fisher Tiger asked nervously as the figure drew closer. The monster did not answer.

It soon arrived in front of his cell, reached into its robes, and pulled out a key. The sound of a lock clicking echoed through the air.

"Who am I?" The monster chuckled.

"Well, given my state, even those who know me best wouldn't recognize me."

With a grin, it shook its head slightly, letting its black hair fall back, revealing a face that shocked Fisher Tiger utterly.

"Admiral Arashi!?" he exclaimed in disbelief.

"Surprise, Tiger!" Arashi smiled.

"I have no idea how much time has passed in the outside world, but running into you here is unexpected."

His face bore a bright smile—it was clear that seeing a familiar face in this place made him genuinely happy.

But after the initial shock, Fisher Tiger was filled with dread.

"Who did this to you? Who left you in this condition?" His voice trembled as he took in the sight before him.

The figure in front of him was still tall, but compared to his memories, it was far too thin—little more than skin and bones.

But what truly made his heart clench was the emptiness where Arashi's arms should have been.

Heavy iron chains pierced through his back, their rusted links fused into his flesh after years of decay.

It was hard to believe that the once-proud and formidable Admiral, brimming with confidence and power, had been reduced to this.

Fisher Tiger's eyes filled with tears.

"Well, that's a long story," Arashi said, flashing another grin.

"For now, I was just about to go capture a jailer beast. Care to join me?"

He seemed entirely unfazed by his own condition. Years of battle had hardened him, forcing him to adapt to the presence of seastone.

Instead of despairing over his restraints, he had grown accustomed to them—perhaps even seeing them as a form of training.

If his hunch was right, he was close to awakening his Observation Haki, allowing him to refine his combat prowess further.

"Huh?" Fisher Tiger was stunned. Before he could react, the cell door swung open, the chains behind Arashi dragging it aside.

He stood there, momentarily dazed, then realized he was already outside the prison cell.

"What? I… just walked out?" He couldn't believe it. He turned to look at the other prisoners, who stared at him with a mix of longing and fear.

"Come on!" Arashi said. "The Beast Hell is crawling with jailer beasts. If I want to catch the big one, I might need your help!"

"Alright!" Fisher Tiger nodded. He could never refuse a request from someone he owed so much to.

Then, he watched as Arashi turned and ran deeper into the prison.

"You're heading further in?" Fisher Tiger followed, his voice filled with shock. "Have you been living down here all these years?"

"That's right," Arashi replied. "The stronger the jailer beast, the better the challenge for me."

"Recently, I found an interesting one—it seems to have eaten a rare Zoan-type Devil Fruit."

"Zoan?" Fisher Tiger was confused, but he kept running. As they ventured deeper, he noticed fewer prisoners and an increasing darkness.

Eventually, nothing but pitch-black emptiness ahead forced him to rely on a faint, distant glow to make out his surroundings.

Yet Arashi ran as if he could see everything clearly, occasionally calling out to warn Tiger which way to go.

"Be careful from here on out, Tiger!" Arashi's voice echoed. "There are plenty of jailer beasts lurking around."

"Huh?" Fisher Tiger barely had time to react before a massive shadow lunged at him from the darkness, jaws wide open.

"Stay focused!" Arashi's voice rang out. A powerful impact followed, sending a gust of wind across Tiger's face. The enormous shadow let out a whimper and was instantly forced back.

Sweat dripped from Fisher Tiger's forehead. Without Arashi's interference, he would've been swallowed whole instantly. This place was far too dangerous.

The two slowed their pace and pressed on cautiously.

After a while, a faint light appeared ahead, allowing them to see just a little more clearly. Fisher Tiger took a deep breath—his entire body had been tense.

Even though his eyes couldn't fully perceive it, he could feel it—a chilling, oppressive aura that made his skin crawl.

Then, suddenly—

A deep, guttural growl echoed through the corridor.

A powerful gust of wind swept over them as four or five enormous beasts appeared out of nowhere, their eyes glowing red with bloodlust.

"It's over…" Fisher Tiger's eyes widened in horror. He knew these creatures were unimaginably strong from their sheer size and overwhelming presence.

"Don't just stand there!" Arashi shouted. "Fight them! Fear will only make you weaker!" "A true warrior sharpens their will in the face of death!"

Laughing, Arashi pushed off the ground, leaping high into the air toward the charging beasts.

The chains behind him stretched taut, clanking noisily. In the next moment, his head slammed directly into one of the beasts.

A shockwave rippled outward from the impact. Fisher Tiger watched in stunned silence.

Even without arms, even while bound in chains, Arashi was still fighting—still overpowering monsters with nothing but sheer force. His strength was beyond imagination.

With a roar, Fisher Tiger charged forward, fists clenched. He struck at the nearest jailer beast, engaging it in battle.

But after only a few exchanges, he was sent flying, blood spraying through the air.

"Get up!" Arashi bellowed. "Keep fighting! If you truly want to achieve your dreams, your current strength isn't nearly enough!"

He battled three jailer beasts simultaneously, his blows echoing through the cavernous space. The beasts' anguished howls filled the air.

"Where is that fish!?" Arashi suddenly shouted mid-fight, seemingly questioning the three beasts.

Not far away, Fisher Tiger flinched, momentarily thinking Arashi was referring to him. Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to his feet.

A jailer beast swung its massive, clawed hand down at him when he stood.

"Fish-Man Karate—Tangca Tile Punch!" Fisher Tiger's expression turned fierce as he assumed a stance and launched a powerful punch.

A loud impact followed as his fist clashed against the beast's strike.

The force of the attack sent a foul wind rushing past him, making his robes billow.

An overwhelming force pushed him back a moment later, his feet skidding across the ground.

"The moment I fall here, it's all over!" Fisher Tiger roared as he glanced at Admiral Arashi, who was locked in a fierce battle, and then charged forward with a determined expression.

The two of them were engaged in an intense struggle, and as time passed, three more Jailer Beasts joined the fight.

Fisher Tiger was now in a desperate battle—the most dangerous moment of his life.

In contrast, Admiral Arashi seemed to grow more excited the longer he fought, easing through the Jailer Beasts' attacks.

"Even when the body is bound, the heart will remain free! That is Admiral Arashi!" Fisher Tiger finally understood.

With that realization, he unleashed a strength he had never felt before. Neither of them knew how long the battle lasted.

Eventually, Fisher Tiger succumbed to exhaustion and passed out after enduring the relentless attacks of three Jailer Beasts.

When he reopened his eyes, he saw Arashi sitting cross-legged with his back facing him.

"If you've recovered, we need to head out again!" Arashi's voice carried a lighthearted tone, making Fisher Tiger freeze.

He tried to move, but pain shot through his entire body—his wounds were far from healed.

However, when he looked at Arashi, who had now stood up and turned around, he fell silent.

The injuries on Arashi's body were even more horrifying than his own. "No problem!"

Gritting his teeth, Fisher Tiger pushed himself to stand. Arashi grinned.

Not long after, the two of them plunged into battle against the Jailer Beasts once more.

Time became a blur, but through these battles, Fisher Tiger understood Admiral Arashi's terrifying endurance.

No matter how severe his injuries, Arashi never seemed to care. The moment he recovered, he would drag Tiger back into combat.

In these relentless, high-intensity battles, Fisher Tiger never had a chance to heal fully.

Every fight was excruciating, yet his strength improved at an astonishing rate.

Before he knew it, he could take down a Jailer Beast on his own and even hold his own against two.

Meanwhile, Admiral Arashi's progress was even more apparent—his shackles no longer seemed to hinder him.

....

Time was meaningless in Impel Down, but in the outside world, the calendar had already turned to the year 1517 of the Sea Circle Calendar.

That year, Fisher Tiger followed Arashi deeper into the prison, finally laying eyes on the creature Arashi had been searching for since their first meeting.

It was the most awe-inspiring and terrifying sight of Fisher Tiger's life. The sheer size and presence of the creature defied description.

Its body resembled that of a whale, with enormous, wing-like fins extending from its sides. Countless thin tendrils dangled from its chin like whiskers.

Its back was so vast that it looked like an island stretching endlessly into the distance.

Deep within the depths of the Beast Hell, this creature's enormous form completely filled the passageway.

"I've been searching for you for so long!" Arashi grinned.

The first time he had seen this being, he suspected it might be one of the legendary creatures from ancient myths.

Fisher Tiger stood frozen, eyes wide with shock. Compared to this beast, a human was nothing more than a speck of dust—so insignificant.

...

Meanwhile, in the West Blue, at the G-1 Floating Base.

This massive Marine base had stood in the West Blue for many years.

It was formerly known as Fortress G-18, but it has undergone significant changes over the past decade.

One of the most notable was that Vice Admiral Barrett, who served as the base's deputy commander, had become increasingly violent and cruel.

As a result, many young Marines had grown dissatisfied and quietly left, seeking new opportunities elsewhere.

The once-mighty G-1 Base was now slowly weakening compared to its former glory.

Additionally, its connection with Marine Headquarters at Marineford had become complicated, fluctuating between close ties and growing distance.

Watching the Marines in front of her, shouting as they trained, Kuina felt lost.

"You're not happy, Kuina?" A soft voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Did you finish today's training assignments from Instructor Kozuki?" A woman walked over and sat beside her with a smile.

Kuina had been training relentlessly in swordsmanship since arriving in the West Blue.

Compared to her time in Shimotsuki Village, her skills had advanced significantly.

However, lately, she felt like she had hit a wall—no matter how hard she trained, she could not improve.

"I finished it," Kuina replied. "But I feel like I've reached a bottleneck. No matter how much effort I put in, I can't move past this point."

Her voice carried frustration. The woman, Eveya, blinked in surprise, then recalled their sparring match a month ago.

"You're a swordsmanship prodigy, Kuina. At your age, you've already surpassed me in skill. Even if you've hit a bottleneck, you'll overcome it eventually," Eveya reassured her warmly.

She had great confidence in the girl beside her, who closely resembled herself.

"Kozuki-sensei said that real combat is the fastest way to improve at my level!" Kuina suddenly clenched her fists.

"I want to leave. I want to see the world."

"Leave?" Eveya was stunned.

"Also, ever since I came to the West Blue, I've never met my teacher," Kuina continued.

"I want to go to Marine Headquarters and find him! Maybe he can help me break through my limits."

"Your teacher…" Eveya's expression darkened.

It had been many years since Arashi had become an admiral, but it was as if the world had forgotten him.

Even at the G-1 Base, no one mentioned his name anymore.

Time eroded memory—three years were enough to dull the pain of loss, and Arashi had already been gone for five or six.

"You want to search for Vice Admiral Arashi?" Eveya asked, staring into Kuina's determined eyes.

"Yes!" Kuina nodded firmly.

"This won't be easy," Eveya sighed.

"Even Vice Admiral Barrett and other officers from the West Blue have gone to Headquarters seeking answers, yet they found nothing. No one knows where Arashi is or what really happened back then."

"I still want to go," Kuina insisted. "I'm his student. Maybe I'll find a different answer!"

Eveya remained silent for a moment before finally nodding. "I'll have Ashura accompany you."

"No need!" Kuina immediately refused. "This will also test my years of swordsmanship training!"

"If I can't survive to meet my teacher, then it means I am not yet qualified to receive his guidance!"

Eveya was stunned. The stubbornness and determination in the young girl's eyes took her by surprise and even filled her heart with admiration.

"Alright!"

That day, Kuina packed her belongings briefly and set sail in a small boat.

Eveya watched the vessel disappear into the distance, her gaze filled with reluctance.

"I'm sorry."

"Even though I'm the base's swordsmanship instructor, she is a girl. I couldn't bring myself to teach her without holding back."

Behind her, a towering figure sighed. Eveya's tone carried a hint of anger.

"Kuina is an incredibly gifted girl!"

"She has the potential to become the world's greatest swordsman, and she has been striving for that goal all along!"

Kozuki Oden fell silent, a trace of guilt flickering in his eyes.

"I'm sorry!"

For generations, many schools of swordsmanship in Wano Country had only been passed down to men, not women.

Even within the Kozuki family, while daughters were cherished, they were still treated differently from sons.

"Hmph! Such a foolish mindset!"

"If Admiral Arashi were here, Kuina wouldn't have had to rely on you at all!"

Eveya turned away in anger. Kozuki Oden lowered his head, unable to meet her gaze. That man truly was different.

He had been willing to take a girl—one born with an inherent disadvantage in physical strength compared to boys—as his disciple.

In this regard, even the greatest sword masters couldn't compare.

"Justice with equality."

"That, too, takes tremendous courage!"

....

Impel Down, Beast Hell.

At that moment, even the air itself seemed suffocating.

The massive creature before Arashi and Fisher Tiger floated silently, its presence instilling a primal fear.

It was a colossal beast resembling a whale, with wing-like fins on both sides.

Nearly a kilometer in length, its head alone spanned two to three hundred meters, completely clogging the passageway.

Its whisker-like tendrils dangled like chaotic roots, swaying eerily in the stale dungeon air.

Just by existing, it exuded a more terrifying presence than a Sea King.

"It feels even more dreadful than a Sea King's aura..."

Fisher Tiger muttered to himself.

Against a creature of this scale, their attacks would be nothing more than tickles. Fighting it seemed entirely pointless.

"It's not a Sea King."

"It's actually a Zoan-type Devil Fruit user—a failed awakening that turned into a monster."

"If you ask me, its current state is merely the initial stage of its awakened form. It's far from complete."

Arashi's eyes narrowed as he spoke.

He had encountered this creature before. It could shift its size at will, shrinking into a tiny fish indistinguishable from ordinary ones.

But its most terrifying trait was its absurd speed—so fast that even his lightning-speed techniques couldn't match it.

With a single flap of its wings, the space around it seemed to fold, moving at an incomprehensible velocity.

"If it's that Devil Fruit..."

Arashi's eyes gleamed with a strong desire.

Currently, he possessed two Devil Fruits—one Logia and one Paramecia.

If he could obtain a Zoan-type, he would have all three classifications of Devil Fruits, completing the ultimate power.

"Tiger! Grab it! Don't let it escape!" Arashi shouted.

"Understood!" Fisher Tiger responded immediately.

In the next moment, he took a deep breath and launched his attack on the creature.

"Fish-Man Karate!"

"Ghost Tile True Punch!"

This was a powerful technique. The Fisher Tiger's current strength could easily flatten a mountain.

However, the beast opened its mouth just as the attack was about to land.

"Woom!"

The air trembled, ripples spreading through the void.

A swirling vortex spanning fifty meters suddenly emerged, unleashing an overwhelming suction force.

Fisher Tiger's expression changed—his punch had been completely neutralized, and his entire body was drawn uncontrollably toward the creature's gaping maw.

Whales could swallow thousands of fish in one gulp. This monstrous fish—was it treating him as its food?

Fisher Tiger's eyes widened in horror. At that moment, a figure leaped high into the air.

"Screech!"

In the dimly lit corridor, torch flames flickered, and streaks of black and red lightning crackled through the darkness.

"Hahahahaha!"

"This time, you're not getting away!"

Arashi laughed wildly.

His legs were wrapped in the crackling black-red lightning of Conqueror's Haki as he stomped with immense force.

"Boom!"

The massive beast's back caved in, slamming into the ground with such force that the entire corridor shattered.

The suction from its mouth stopped instantly, replaced by a violent shockwave that blew Fisher Tiger away.

"Wooooo!"

A deep, guttural roar echoed through the prison.

The beast turned its body, and its fin-like wings suddenly clenched—forming fists.

Then, it swung a punch straight at Arashi.

"Hahahahaha!"

"Perfect timing!"

Arashi laughed as he kicked forward with both legs, still crackling with black-red lightning.

"Boom!"

A tremendous shockwave erupted, sending chaotic gusts ripping through the dungeon.

"This thing... its strength surpasses even the Giants!"

"It's a near-perfect lifeform!"

Feeling the numbing force spreading through his legs, Arashi's excitement only grew.

Although much of his power had been sealed, the amplification from his Conqueror's Haki made him terrifyingly strong.

Yet, he was still at a disadvantage in this raw clash of power.

With a shift in his stance, he changed his tactics.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Thunderous impacts echoed through Beast Hell as man and monster clashed relentlessly.

Fisher Tiger staggered to his feet, gazing ahead in awe as violent gusts of wind lashed against his body.

The battle lasted an unknown amount of time.

The wind never ceased, so strong that it lifted him off the ground, gradually pulling him further from the battlefield.

Eventually, Arashi walked out, looking frustrated.

"Lost it again!"

"Its speed is insane, and it can change its size at will."

"Catching this thing is proving to be a real pain!"

However, he quickly regained his composure.

There was no need to rush—this thing was trapped in Impel Down. It was only a matter of time before it fell into his hands.

For now, the most urgent task was to awaken his Observation Haki and completely overcome the effects of Seastone on Devil Fruit users.

The strongest individuals could gradually overcome their weaknesses in seawater through training.

But Arashi intended to perfect it.

Time passed, and another six months flew by.

At Marine Headquarters, Marineford, a Marine warship, slowly docked at the port.

Standing on deck, Kuina gazed at the world's most formidable fortress, her eyes filled with awe and curiosity.

"Thank you for your help, Rear Admiral Shinbu."

Kuina bowed slightly to the bearded middle-aged man before her.

"It was just a coincidence that I gave you a ride. We're all Marines, no need to be so formal."

Shinbu waved a hand dismissively.

He had been willing to assist her partly because she reminded him of an old acquaintance's adjutant.

"What brings you to Marine Headquarters, Lieutenant Kuina?"

He asked curiously.

"I want to see Fleet Admiral Sengoku and ask about my teacher."

Kuina took a deep breath and answered solemnly.

"Your teacher?"

Shinbu was momentarily taken aback.

He had seen Kuina's swordsmanship firsthand—it was exceptional, on par with an officer-level Marine's.

"My teacher's name is Arashi!"

Kuina declared.

Shinbu's body trembled.

His eyes locked onto Kuina's, his expression turning grave.
