Chapter 12: *One Piece: A Side Story – The Forgotten Isle (Part 12)*
The mist from the hidden passage curled around their legs, thick and ethereal, as if it had a life of its own. The cloaked figure moved ahead, their silhouette barely visible in the haze. Without hesitation, Luffy took the first step into the passage, his eyes alight with excitement.
"Let's go!" Luffy cheered, undeterred by the eerie atmosphere.
Zoro, his hand still on his swords, followed closely, his senses alert. "This place doesn't feel right. Stay on guard."
Sanji, lighting another cigarette, stepped in behind them. "Great. More creepy fog. This day keeps getting better."
Robin, her brow furrowed in thought, looked at the mist with concern. "This mist is more than just fog—it feels like it's trying to cloud our minds."
"Uh, are we sure we want to be in here?" Chopper asked, his small form trailing behind, looking worried.
Usopp, trying to muster up courage, was the last to enter. "I've fought giant sea kings, pirates, and marines, but this is definitely the creepiest thing I've ever done."
The passage grew darker as they descended deeper, the air growing thicker with each step. The walls were carved with ancient symbols, some of which glowed faintly in the mist, casting strange shadows across the path. It was clear now that this place had been built long ago, far older than anything they had encountered before.
"How much farther?" Luffy asked, his voice echoing off the walls.
The cloaked figure halted suddenly, turning to face them. "We are close. But be prepared. The true test of your resolve is about to begin."
The figure moved aside, revealing a massive stone door at the end of the passage. The door was covered in glowing runes, and in its center was a large, circular indentation—exactly the same as the glowing orb they had shattered earlier.
Luffy's eyes gleamed. "That's it! The treasure's behind that door!"
Robin stepped forward, her gaze intense. "No, Luffy. This is something much bigger. This isn't just treasure—it's the key to something ancient."
The cloaked figure stepped forward once more, placing their hand on the stone door. "Only those who are truly worthy will unlock this door. The power inside is both a blessing and a curse. Are you prepared for what lies beyond?"
The door began to rumble, and slowly, it began to open. The air was thick with energy, and the crew could feel the weight of the moment. Whatever lay behind it, they knew, would change everything.
