While the main quests were missions that remained active in his main menu and didn't disappear until he completed them, there were many hidden quests. For example, when he killed Arlong, an important known character.

Hector had a few days to spare, so he went searching for pirates and dealt with them by terminating them with kindness, giving them all the kindness his Shadow Soldiers could give. And ooh boy, they had a lot to give. After interrogating some prisoners by waterboarding them, he discovered the location of a secret island for slaver pirates.

Since trying to convert them into Shadow Soldiers mostly resulted in Basic and Normal Ranks, and it was rare to get an Elite Rank, he couldn't gather much information from them. Additionally, most people in East Blue who became pirates weren't the scholarly types or the sharpest crayon in the box.

Before the sun had even set, Hector was already at work, silently dispatching all the guards and lookouts on the island. He deployed numerous Shadow Soldiers to survey the entire camp where the slaves were held captive. It seemed that most of the pirates had succumbed to sleep, inebriated and unaware.

They were filthy, likely unwashed for days, their garments ragged, torn, and stained with blood. Regardless of any excuses they might muster, their fates were sealed, especially after witnessing their cruel treatment of a girl until she succumbed to death.

The Shadow Soldiers, having encircled the island, made significant headway within the first few minutes of landing on the shores. Their Lord had provided them with detailed maps of the island's topography and any existing cave systems. Towering over two meters tall, with a contingent of giant beasts among them, they formed a formidable Shadow Army numbering over four hundred.

The slaver scouts were conducting their routine perimeter checks around their concealed base on the island, an assignment that was typically mundane, often requiring only one or two guard teams during busier times.

However, on this day, the lead scout detected unusual sounds of shuffling feet and muffled breaths. With a quick hand signal, he instructed his men to crouch and conceal themselves in the underbrush. Rifle at the ready, he aimed down the path. Seconds later, a sharp blow to his head plunged him into darkness.

Before his comrades could grasp what had befallen their leader, eight colossal, pitch-black wolves with razor-sharp fangs pounced on them, unleashing a bone-chilling howl unlike any they had ever heard.

In another area, scouts screamed in while being attacked by Shadow Soldiers armed with a variety of weapons; axes, swords, and spears. Two of the slavers were unlucky enough to be skewered by spears and risen into the air screaming in ungodly pain as they bled like pigs.

Shirohime with a slash cut across a man's face, reliving him of the face as it cleanly fell off. The Shadow Soldier next to her chopped him with the next strike and began chopping at his corpse again and again laughing like a kid playing whack a mole.

Shirohime herself bisected another slaver with one slash from her elegant black KuroWado Ichimonji and with a quick flick of her wrist amputated the arm of the closest slaver and cut his chest in two with a single slice.

With Hector, he raised a wretched slaver in the air as the poor thing sputtered in pain trying to breathe, his pain was relieved when Yubashiri assisted in tearing the defective bastard in half.

One had the flight instinct as the battle turned into a bloodbath; he didn't get twenty feet before a hailstorm of dark shadow arrows pierced his back, wounding him severely. Crawling would've been a feat on its own with the amount of arrows on his back, the slaver was in before a pact Shadow bears that came up from behind his prone figure and promptly tore him apart

The last scout raised his weapon to the murderous human creatures that surrounded them. As the thick black shadow monster charged at him, he shot blowing a hole on the creature's chest. Before he could celebrate, he saw the hole he made in the shadow creature's chest being closed in the next moment, as it didn't even take notice of being injured and skewered him with its spear.

Hector smiled as he watched Nami deliver a devastating blow with King Cerberus's three-handled separate lightning form, ripping the pirate's body in two. Nejiko also contributed to the action by firing her Anti-Material Rifle while using Moonwalk to stay in the air and picking off pirates.

Meanwhile, the Shadow Soldiers were dealing with the pirates on the ground. After the mangled corpses dropped to the ground, shadow ethereal tendrils wrapped around them, and new Shadow Soldiers joined the army with a single word.

"Arise!"

Nami entered the room where the slaves were kept and found only children, none older than twelve, and young women as the sole survivors. They had been spared by the slavers, unlike the girls who had been used and were now lifeless.

She intended to move swiftly and silently but abandoned the plan as chaos broke out. The guards, poorly trained or not at all, charged with fierce determination, only to be defeated by her King Cerberus triple-nunchaku form.

Once the guards were dealt with, she began to free the slaves. Their expressions, initially blank and indifferent, gradually shifted to awareness as they understood their liberation.

"It's okay," Nami whispered, calming the children while Bell and Dusk rescued the young women.

"You're free now. We're here to help."

The children's newfound freedom dispelled their fear of the Shadow Soldiers as they were escorted to safety. Nami remained behind, turning the area into a battlefield, her movements a blur as she engaged any pirate in sight.

Nojiko acted decisively, covering the Shadow Soldiers as they led the liberated few to the Black Pearl. Each step brought them closer to Pearl, with each loud gunshot meant another slaver perished.

In the end, he had purged the island of every slave and pirate, amassing over two hundred new Shadows. Disliking the presence of slavers in his Shadow Army, he chose to sacrifice them to elevate his other Shadow Soldiers' ranks.

His next challenge arose because heroism often goes unrewarded. The young girls and children were left with no home, their parents slain and villages destroyed by the pirates. With nowhere to return, they were in a plight. However, after Nami and Nojiko vowed to reward him later, he gladly welcomed them, assigning the young girls the task of caring for and supervising the children.

The presence of young ones was not a problem since Pearl had increased her interior tenfold, boasting as many rooms as a large apartment complex. Now responsible for the children, he transformed several rooms into a playground, park, garden, and water park. Using the system store to purchase all the items with the MSP his gathered by trading with the system. Stuck in thought he was interrupted by a system alert

After receiving all his rewards, he used up all the Skill Scrolls right away, receiving all the information on how to perform all these special skills, already at max level. Of all the skills he received, the one that mostly intrigued him was Arcane Blacksmith. He used the skill on Yubashiri and saw the upgrades he could install on it.

Your blade will evolve with you taking the shape and power that you need through leveling up. Warning! Special upgrade! Weapon will not be able to be upgraded any further.

-Devour:

Your blade will be able to consume any material to strengthen itself. (Bonus power) Your weapon will be able to absorb any supernatural attack to strengthen the weapon or release it back. Warning! Special upgrade! Weapon will not be able to be upgraded any further.

-Etc. 

There were more occupants in the list, but Hector was having a hard time deciding what upgrades to put into Yubashiri. He could install four of any of the balance upgrades, or he could install one of the Special upgrades. In the end, he went with Devour and he also upgraded Nojiko's Anti-Material Rifle. Installing the Special upgrade Roman Artillery: The rifle's power and range increased in proportion to the level of danger its user is in or phasing.

Now they were heading to Syrup Village and Hector had leveled up four times because almost all pirates he confronted were low-level. Before going there, he used to up all his saved-up skill points and stat points.
