Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Meeting of the three factions
The next morning, a magical barrier was deployed over the Kuoh Academy.
In a meeting room, representatives of the three factions gathered.
Sirzechs and Seraphall represented the demons, Michael the angels and Azazel the fallen angels.
Behind Azazel, Vali leaned against a wall with an apathetic look.
Behind Michael, Irina stood erect and with a steady gaze.
Behind Seraphall, Sona and her subordinates also stood with a serious look.
Suddenly, the door opened and Noah walked in, followed by Rias' group.
"This is my little sister.
Her group helped in the incident caused by Kokabiel.
I think the others already know that boy, he's the new red dragon emperor."
Noah nodded to everyone.
Outside the academy, the armies of the three factions stood in the air, ready for a war.
"These were the details of the incident, where I, Rias Gremory, and my familiars were involved."
"I, Sona Sitri, bear witness that said report is true."
"Thank you, that is enough."
"Thank you for the report, Rias-chan, Sona-chan."
As usual, Seraphall acted cheerfully, oblivious to the serious atmosphere of the place.
"After hearing the report, I would like to know what the leader of the fallen angels has to say."
"Who cares about my opinion in my faction? Kokabiel acted of his own free will."
"Are you saying you had nothing to do with this?"
"I just let him roam free to find out what his objective was.
I asked the white dragon emperor to take care of him.
But it seems someone had different plans."
"Ahem! Good thing no one really important to you died in this conflict right? Why don't we just let bygones be bygones and forget about this issue? An oversight can happen to anyone and we shouldn't blame Azazel for the mistakes of a rebellious subordinate should we?"
"Red boy is right, since my little sister was not hurt in this incident, we better forget about it."
"Yeah, I don't think we should blame him for that."
With Seraphall and Sirzechs talking, Michael also agreed.
"Oi! Welsh Dragon, I agree with your previous request so why don't you tell us the name of the mastermind behind Kokabiel?"
Azazel suddenly pulled out a folder full of files and put it on the table while looking at noah with intrigue.
Noah also pulled out a folder full of documents containing some blueprints and low-ranking technological knowledge of the Mech world.
Azazel flipped through the documents before agreeing and passing the folder to Noah.
Noah flipped through the folder to be sure before speaking solemnly.
"I don't know much about this organization. All I know is that a lot of extremely powerful people from around the world have joined the this force."
Noah looked at Sirzechs and Seraphall and continued.
"There are the former demons who lost the civil war."
Then he looked at Azazel
"There was also Kokabiel and his minions."
Sirzechs and Seraphall looked at each other with solemn faces.
The demonic civil war was an event that took the lives of countless demons and it was because they won this war that they became the current rulers of the demons.
"There are even some gods from different mythologies among them.
They are all headed by a single person. One person strong enough to be able to have them under his command, though strictly more than having them under his command, they use each other to achieve their goals."
"And who is that individual?"
Vali, who so far did not speak, asked with a hint of interest.
"Heh! Shouldn't you know by now?"
Noah looked at him with amusement before answering anyway.
"It's the infinity dragon, Ophis."
The others were surprised but Azazel arched an eyebrow as he looked at Vali, who was still standing there, unperturbed.
"Well, let's get this boring conversation over with.
Let's just sign the peace treaty already.
After all, that's what you guys want too isn't it?"
Seraphall grew impatient and urged them to sign the treaty.
Outside the occult building, women suddenly appeared dressed in long robes and hoods that hid their faces.
A strange pentagram lit up in the eyes of one of the women and her vision penetrated the walls, scanning the entire building.
"It's gone...the half-vampire boy is gone!"
"Damn it! The information was wrong?"
In the meeting room, a small girl with a paper bag covering her face suddenly sneezed.
"Eh? Someone is talking about me?"
Because Noah told Rias that he should bring all of his members due to the fact that something might happen to the occult building during this meeting, Rias ended up heeding him and brought all of his servants, including Gasper.
"The great demon and god kings are gone. Therefore, I would like to hear the opinions of the two of them, who are not directly related to the major factions, but can affect the world with their power. The red dragon emperor and the white dragon emperor, I would like to know what they think about this."
"It's fine with me, as long as I can face strong opponents, I don't care if there is peace or there is war."
"Ha! Even in times of peace, there are many strong individuals out there.
Well, what about you, red dragon emperor? Think about it, if there's peace, you and the Gremory clan girl could get married, have lots of sex and produce lots of offspring. Every night you could make babies."
"Huh? What the hell are you saying?"
Rias suddenly blushed up to his ears and didn't know what to say.
"Hey hey wait, we pureblood demons should focus on producing more pureblood offspring...but come to think of it, having a few offspring with the power of the red dragon wouldn't be bad for the clan."
Sirzechs crossed his fingers and thought deeply on the subject.
"What are you saying brother!"
Rias didn't know what corner to back himself into anymore.
"It's a tempting offer but honestly, as long as I can make myself stronger, I don't care about your squabbles or anyone else's, as far as having babies? Eh?"
Noah frowned suddenly before relaxing.
"Well, why don't we welcome our guests?"
With a snap of fingers, a dozen hooded women wrapped in chains appeared the meeting room, falling at Noah's feet.
"These are...!"
"Human mages. They appeared around the occult building and just happened to fall into the preemptive trap I set a little while ago."
"Ya right, as if I would believe in such a coincidence."
Azazel sneered before grabbing one of the women by the chin and starting to interrogate her.
Before the other party could say anything, a giant summoning circle appeared in the sky and numerous mages began to materialize.
Because the original plan to capture Gasper and use his Sacred Gear to freeze in time all the soldiers of the three factions failed, the mage army found themselves surrounded by the armies of the three factions, something they had not planned for.
Because Noah captured the entire infiltrated group, they were unable to communicate the failure of the plan to their allies.
"Well, I'm going to have some fun."
With those words, Noah flew out the window before activating his Balance Breaker, initiating a massacre among the mages he encountered on his way and sucking their souls into his spiritual sea to absorb their memories.
He also took the opportunity to discreetly loot the corpses of perished mages, angels and demons for use in his future research.
He mainly focused on the corpses of angels and demons as he wanted to use them for a future plan.
"We shouldn't stay behind him, partner."
"I know, if he kills 100 I will kill 1000!"
Vali also flew off before activating his Breaker balance.
A massacre was occurring at every place those two passed and no mage could withstand more than one hit.
Suddenly, a magic circle lit up in the meeting room before a woman with a large staff suddenly appeared.
"Good evening, current demon kings, Sirzechs-sama, Serafall-dono."
"What are you doing here? Descendant of the Leviathan clan, Katerea Leviathan!"
"I come to bring chaos and destruction to the world..."
The staff in Katerea's hands lit up with a yellow light before the entire building exploded into pieces, revealing the group of people from the three factions, protected by a spherical magical barrier.
"A protective barrier created by the combined abilities of the leaders of the three factions.
Hahahaha! How pitiful!"
"What the hell are you doing, Katerea?"
"I simply hold an opposing opinion to what is being discussed in this meeting....
If god and demon kings are not here, then compiling this world needs to be reformed."
"Katerea-chan, stop!"
"Serafall...how dare you usurp the position of head of the Leviathan clan from me, and live a carefree life?"
"I..."
"Don't worry.
I will assassinate you right here, right now and take back the title of demon king Leviathan from you!"
"Wow wow, I didn't think you were a central part of the coup d'etat by the demons."
"So your goal is to conquer the world?"
Azazel and Michael looked at Katerea calmly as they analyzed.
"That's right Michael. A world that benefits from the absence of god and demon kings is a lawless world.
Let's rebuild it and reclaim it with our own hands!"
"Hahaha."
"Azazel, what are you laughing at?"
"A lawless world? Reform it? Is this a joke?
Those are the words second-rate villains usually use when they're about to die."
"You...you're mocking me!"
Katerea's aura exploded without bounds.
"Can I take this broad? Michael, Sirzechs."
"Go ahead."
The other two gave way to Azazel, who spread his wings and his aura exploded.
"Katerea, you have no intention of retreating?"
"That's right, Sirzechs. I understand that you're the great demon king, but unfortunately you're not the best."
"I see...that's too bad."
Azazel stood a hundred meters away from Katerea and proclaimed.
"You, descendant of Leviathan, the ancient demon king. Descendant of the monster of the apocalypse.
You are worthy enough as an opponent.
Are we going to cause armageddon?"
"Damned leader of the fallen angels!"
The auras of the two exploded to the max, pulverizing the unfortunate soldiers fighting near them.
The two fought for a few minutes before suddenly a bunch of black snakes covered Katerea's body.
"Are you ready to die? Azazel!"
Katerea's skin turned purple for a moment before returning to normal.
She launched a devastating attack towards Azazel.
"First of all, is it okay if we clear a few things up?"
"Damn you!"
Katerea concentrated a dense dark aura on her fist before throwing it behind her.
"This intense aura, it can't simply come from a descendant of a demon king.
Is this the power Ophis gave you?"
Azazel grabbed the other party's fist with ease.
Katerea was surprised for a moment but quickly pulled herself together.
"I don't have to answer since you will be destroyed here!"
Katerea's dark aura exploded even more, covering the entire area.
"Well, let's end this farce."
Azazel spoke calmly before pulling out a golden dagger from under his coat.
The dagger had a large violet sphere embedded in its pommel.
"That's it!"
"My hobby, it's much more interesting than war.
This is the Down Fall Dragon Spear. An artificial sacred gear created by me."
The small dagger released a dazzling purple glow before turning into motes of golden light that entered Azazel's body.
"Balance Breaker!"
The golden light covered Azazel completely, turning into golden armor that covered his entire body.
A glowing golden halberd appeared in his hand and its twelve black wings fluttered in the wind.
"This is the armor of the fallen dragon.
Come, show me what you have."
Azazel charged Katerea and struck with his halberd, leaving a deep gash in her chest.
"Damn it, after the war in this world, there is no place for you.
If I can take the life of one of the leaders of the three fractions, I will gladly sacrifice myself.
Countless hands grew from Katerea's arms before turning into tentacles that wrapped around Azazel's left arm.
She intended to immolate herself to take Azazel with her but before she could do so, a golden hand pierced her chest and ripped out her heart.
Katerea spat out a mouthful of blood that covered Azazel's face, who also had no time to react as his arm was still held by Katerea's hands.
Turning her head with difficulty, Katerea saw a silhouette covered in golden flames and with a golden wheel floating on its back that looked at her with its red eyes while holding her heart.
The golden humanoid gave no one a chance to react and simply vanished into thin air, entering the void.
