Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Will Seed

The next day.

Kokabiel appeared over the academy before setting up an isolating barrier with a snap.

He then sat on his floating throne as he surveyed the group of demons on the ground.

"The Gremory clan and the Sitri clan, who will you call, Lucifer or leviathan?"

"We don't need to bother them, we will be more than enough!"

"Hahaha! I'd like to see what you guys are capable of."

Kokabiel raised her hand and a pentagram lit up on the ground before a huge Cerberus wreathed in flames suddenly appeared.

Quickly, Rias' group began a fierce battle against the Cerberus.

In the midst of the battle, one of the two girls from whom Noah had stolen his Excalibur, Xenovia, appeared.

A blue sword wrapped in chains manifested before her before she grasped its hilt.

"In the name of the saint that rests on this blade, I will unchain...the holy sword, Durandal!"

With a slash from Durandal, the massive Cerberus split in two.

With Xenovia joining the battle, the group engaged directly against Kokabiel but the latter defeated each of them with ease.

Kokabiel sent Yuuto flying and was about to finish him off with a beam of light but Xenovia got in his way and blocked the attack with her Durandal.

"Oh, I'm surprised you can fight this well even after you lost your leader."

"What do you mean?"

"Oops, I missed it."

"Answer me! Kokabiel!"

"Haha! Hahahahahahahaha! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!"

Kokabiel laughed hysterically.

"Right, I almost forgot.

I'm trying to start a war, so there's no need to keep this a secret.

It wasn't just the four great demon kings that died in the last great war, God died too!"

"Wha...that can't be true..."

Everyone was shocked.

"God is dead? You can't be serious.

That's the first time I've heard about that!"

Rias looked at Kokabiel not believing him one bit.

"In that war, the dark side lost their demon kings and hundreds of high class demons, and apart from their leaders, the angels and fallen angels lost most of their armies.

Now it is impossible for pure blood angels to be born and I am sure there is a shortage in the demonic world as well.

Each faction suffered so much damage that they were forced to turn to humans to survive.

Angels, fallen angels and demons.

The leaders of the three factions kept this information secret because they needed the god-fearing humans."

Xenovia released her grip on her sword and collapsed to the ground.

"You lie...this can't be true."

"Well, that's just a minor thing.

What I really can't stand is the fact that when god and the four demon kings died, the rest of the leaders decided that continuing the war would be futile.

I can't take it anymore!

I really can't stand it!

Lowering my fist once I have already raised it?

We would have won if the war had continued!

And that damned Azazel even declared that there would be no second war!

Hahaha!

I'll have fun causing the next war!"

"Really?"

A voice rang out from the sky before the magical barrier created by kokabiel shattered into pieces.

A blue light descended from the sky, turning into a man with blue wings made of energy on his back.

White armor quickly covered his entire body.

"Vanishing Dragon?

Just as he was about to continue speaking, the man in the white armor appeared on Kokabiel's back before tearing off one of his wings.

"Black raven wings so opaque? Azazel's are much darker, like eternal night."

"You bastard!

What do you think you're playing at?"

"Well, you don't need wings where you're going."

"Damn you!"

Kokabiel soared into the sky before summoning a spear of light that grew continuously.

Just as he was about to throw it at the man in white, the latter extended his arm.

"Divider!"

With the sound of the notification, the huge spear continuously shrunk until it completely disappeared.

"What the hell?!"

"My name is Albion.

That was one of my sacred gear's abilities, Divine Dividing.

Every ten seconds it halves the power of the person it touched and grants them to me.

You'd better stand down because soon you won't be able to defeat even a mere human."

"Grrr."

"This is getting boring, I thought I might enjoy it a little more but..."

"Then how about I join you?"

Noah walked out the door of the academy in his Balance Breaker mode, red armor covering his body.

Just as Albion, or rather Vali Lucifer was about to respond, a second voice was heard.

"How useless you are Kokabiel, attracting so much attention. Looks like we can just abandon the plan for today."

Before anyone could act, a gust of wind blew past Xenovia while a huge shadow appeared behind Vali, blotting out the moon in the sky and darkening the entire area.

Another shadow appeared next to Kokabiel and her severed wing and grabbed them both before disappearing from the scene.

A golden giant reached out its hands and firmly caught Vali before a shadow appeared in front of it and dug its claws into his right gauntlet before forcibly extracting the blue gem embedded in its surface.

The golden giant threw Vali with all his might before grabbing the remaining shadow with one hand and disappearing from everyone's sight.

All that could be heard was Vali's enraged roar.

"Damn you!!!"

"Eh?"

Rias, who was recovering from the wounds he sustained in his battle against Cerberus, suddenly frowned and ran off to the occult club with a worried look on his face.

Noah watched this spectacle of his own making with a smile before he deactivated his transformation, returning to normal and making a face of feigned astonishment, as if all this had nothing to do with him.

...

On a distant island, Noah's giant clone appeared next to Lena, who was holding Durandal in one hand and the gem she extracted from Albion's gauntlet in the other.

Magna was already waiting for them next to an extremely weakened Kokabiel.

A few seconds later a golden humanoid appeared carrying a frail-looking young woman.

Despite looking like a girl, it was actually a boy dressed in the female uniform of the Kuoh academy.

Noah's trueself wasted no time and took advantage of the Kokabiel's weakened state to proceed with his next plan.

He left the cross-dressing teenager on the ground turned into a golden light that penetrated Kokabiel's forehead.

Today he was going to test two of the Eldrtch's most powerful abilities.

The trueself penetrated Kokabiel's already weakened soul and sank deep within it, reaching into Kokabiel's consciousness.

An image of Kokabiel formed from the consciousness and he wanted to defend himself but due to his weakened state, he did not last even a few seconds before the trueself tore him to pieces.

Kokabiel's consciousness was destroyed just like that.

All that was left of him now was a soul and a body without an owner.

Now, Noah was going to use the second most terrifying ability of the Eldrtch, the seed of will.

This was a seed made from the willpower of an Eldrtch and was normally used to enslave willing individuals to bend their wills but Noah thought to use it with a different approach.

He detached a strand of consciousness and attached it to the will seed before planting it in the former location of Kokabiel's consciousness.

Countless golden tentacles extended from the seed, as if they were roots that took root in Kokabiel's soul.

Kokabiel opened his eyes and felt his body for a moment before smiling excitedly.

"It worked!"

This was the new method of creating clones that he came up with.

Instead of swapping out the existing soul with a fragment of his soul, why not swap out the consciousness with an extension of his own?

The only drawback to this method was the possibility of a new ego being born if the connection between the will-seed and the trueself was removed, something that would happen only if they were isolated from each other, something Noah would make sure would not happen.

Noah's trueself also came out of Kokabiel's soul and returned to its original form before looking down at the boy lying on the ground.

With a flick of his fingers, the earth deformed before it formed a large cross on which he hung the boy before performing the Sacred Gear extraction ritual.

He made sure that the boy's soul was not harmed so that he would not end up dying in the process.

Then, the trueself turned back into a golden light that penetrated the Sacred Gear.

After searching for a while, he found a dark shadow hidden in a corner of the Sacred Gear's inner dimension that wanted to ambush him.

The name of this Sacred Gear is Eon Valor and the shadow that wanted to ambush him was a soul fragment of this god.

Like the Sacred Gear, the fragment had the power to freeze in time those it looked directly at.

But the shadow could not pick up the trueself's movements as it was an extremely weak fragment of the ancient god.

The trueself appeared behind the shadow and with a fist strike, pierced the shadow's chest before beginning to tear it into pieces.

The remnants of consciousness were purged by the golden flames before the trueself emerged from the Sacred Gear, which looked like two floating specks of red light.

Noah's main body finished dealing with the problems on his side before teleporting to the group's side.

He first tucked the sacred sword, Durandal, into a box filled with seals before putting it away.

Then he looked at the blue sphere in his hand before putting it into a small box that was also filled with seals.

He then put away the Sacred Gear Eon Valor before putting the unconscious boy inside his lab on the floating continent, leaving Nexus to analyze his body.

This boy was a Damphir, a hybrid between human and vampire.

Studying his body might prove useful to him in the future.

The trueself returned to Noah's soul and the giant also returned to the floating continent.

"Boy, if you had me confused at first, you've got me a lot more confused now."

"You'll understand everything in due time, my dear fellow."

"How annoying! Always trying to appear mysterious."

Ddraig, annoyed, didn't ask him any more questions and simply went to sleep.

Noah just shook his head and teleported along with the group to the villa.

Leaving Asia healing the severed wing of his new clone, Noah grabbed his fishing rod and went to the river.

There he met Azazel again, sitting quietly fishing.

Noah cast his rod before sitting off to the side.

"Seems like the atmosphere at the academy is pretty hectic lately don't you think, professor?"

"Really? It's just a regular Friday for me."

...

...

...

"Do you have any idea who the guys Kokabiel was working with are?"

Noah arched a brow at that question.

"Shouldn't you know? After all he was your subordinate."

"I don't usually interfere in the affairs of my subordinates."

"Anyway, although I'm not entirely sure, I can guess who those guys are."

"Oh? And who might they be?"

"All I know is that a mysterious organization has been recruiting important people from all over the world to join their ranks.

There are even gods among them.

The most important thing is who's leading them."

...

Azazel waited for him to continue and frowned when he saw that he didn't want to continue talking.

"Give me a name. What do you want in return?"

Noah smiled.

"I like doing business with smart people, it's less tedious."

After some thought, he spoke again.

"I want a copy of the research data on the artificial Sacred Gears that the Gregory group is investigating."

Azazel suddenly stood up and his aura began to rise as he looked at Noah.

Undeterred, Noah threw his fishing rod back into the water and continued.

"Don't worry, at the moment no one but me knows about this. But anyway, it's useless to try to hide the matter since you'll soon have to use that little toy of yours to confront those people.

Besides, I know that what I'm asking for is too valuable so I'll give you something of equivalent value to match the value."

Noah picked up the fishing rod and stood up.

"Well, think about it. I think we could cooperate quite a bit in the future and benefit each other.

For now, I'll take my leave."

With a flash of light, Noah disappeared from the scene, leaving Azazel deep in thought.
