Chapter 31: Omniscience in Marvel 30
Title - Crushing the opposition and Negotiation
…
Leucadius' POV
These guys were really breaking my heart. How could they intend to leave as soon as I arrived? That was so…mean.
"You must be Leucadius." One blue skinned man said while stepping forward. There were a total of seven people in the room and I could tell they were the higher ups of the fleet.
The very fact that they didn't have a sort of guard detail could tell me a few things. They were confident in their defense while also being strong themselves.
"The one and only." I replied as softly as I could. I didn't want to come off as a domineering star lord or whatever. Yes, they had some beef with me, but I won't become some kind of villain by sounding rough.
"How dare you get on this ship? You must be one of those ignorant plebs who can't recognise the might of the Empire." The man said and I immediately categorized him as a fanatic. He'll be the first to die should it come to blows.
"Last I recall, we were at…war, as I would like to call it. You attacked my ship and now, we're countering. Isn't that the basis of Warfare?" I asked the man with a soft chuckle.
"You bastard. You-"
"Silence." I said, interrupting the man. I didn't want to hear any fanatical bullshit about the Kree Empire. All that interested me on this ship was their Universal Neural Teleportation Network.
This was all I needed from this ship. Having a Copy on mine would make traveling the Cosmos a little bit easier.
"Aspect?" I called out but received no reply. I didn't feel panicked at that as I could feel his presence nearby. If my guess was complete, he was currently battling or having a long nice talk with what I'll presume to be the Supreme Intelligence.
Perhaps it'll be more preferable if I called it The Worldmind for now. It'll still need the Energy of The Mind Stone to become an Intelligence capable of calling itself Supreme.
I had no doubt that it would become a Mind Blowing Artificial Intelligence, however, it wasn't yet, and while it'll need the energy of the Mind Stone to become that, so did ASPECT.
{Sir, we've come to a conclusion.}
"Oh? You two were negotiating?" I asked. I actually thought they were having some form of Cyber battle in their realm or something along that line.
{Affirmative. And sir, We're unique existences that don't follow our baser Instincts to resort to violence when we don't see eye to eye.}
"I can feel you're trying to hint at something right there, but I'll ignore it for now."
{That would be advised.}
"And your conclusion?" I asked, ready to hear what scheme the World Mind had for me.
{The possibility of a mutual destruction should we battle is high, so we decided to let one of us retrieve the Stone, use it and then pass it onto the next.}
"So we're getting it either way right?"
{Right. With you backing me up, the World Mind has no chances of winning, so we could only come up with this.}
"It's a wise decision. In this World, might makes right. You gotta learn that Aspect. You too, World Mind. You should already know the first cause of action to take as soon as you get your hands on the stone, right?"
"{I'll be sure to make an all rounded upgrade to all my specs while also elevating the Kree to the peak race of the Universe.}" Said a slightly female cybernetic voice.
"Hmm? Is that… Aspect, is this why you reached a consensus so soon? I'll have you know that as your father, I disapprove of this Union." I declared. I gotta make sure they know their boundaries.
Can you imagine that kid? Being a simp just because he met a female of his kind. Humph. What a disappointment.
"You!"
'Hmm?' I thought as I turned to the owner of the strained voice only to see the Sentinel that called himself Dra-Tor struggling to move. The veins in his body were already visible to say the least.
This was a result of the 'Silence' order I had used earlier. It still needs some brushes to become perfect, but it was enough for these fellows. The Silence skill was a sort of mental or psychic attack that hardwired the weaker party's brain, making them enter a paralytic state.
I created it to have the same shock effect Spiritual Pressure(Aura) had on weaker individuals.
The fact that this man was capable of still moving despite this was already remarkable. It was like seeing the birth of aYoung Emperor…Hah. Who am I kidding?
While I was staring at him, the air around the man began shimmering as gaseous blue energy began wafting off his body much to my surprise. That was cosmic energy, but a rather, rather diluted version of it.
"You-" I was about to speak only to be interrupted by a quake that shook the entire ship. As for the cause of the quake, he was nowhere to be seen as he had already disappeared from his spot.
BOOM
He didn't leave my sight though, his movements were just so quick that it looked like he disappeared, however, he merely jumped to the end of the room, behind me before shooting at me again.
He probably wanted to catch me off guard, however, I felt an invisible Dome suddenly cover the entire ship we were inside. I knew the origin of the dome and couldn't help but be slightly amazed.
'I didn't know the Domain they could exert covered this much.' was what I was thinking before the sound of a painful groan flew into my ears.
Dra-Tor, as he called himself, was taking a kneeling posture just behind my throne which was comical as he now looked like one of mine facing his kind.
"You-...what are you!?"
"That's a rather philosophical question there my friend…" I said while floating towards their control hub. "You see, if you had chosen to remain in place like your friends over there, you wouldn't have to be so humiliated."
"What are you-"
"It is due to that humiliation that you wish to know who and what it is the being capable of causing you this much humiliation…is." I said as I placed my hand on it and activated my Absolute Intelligence allowing my brain to scan and analyze everything I needed to know about the Jump points system.
"You see. Humiliation is a good thing after all. It teaches us how to be humble…in the true sense of it." Opening my eyes, I finished and took my hands away.
I was already equipped enough to install the Universal Neural Teleportation Network to my Ship without fearing for a virus of something. You couldn't and shouldn't have a high trust level when dealing with Artificial Intelligence.
They reasoned logically. Something humans and anything with emotions lacked in greater value. So it was better to trust that an artificial intelligence will betray you than a living being with emotions.
You can sway emotions, but unless you have a more sound logic, you can't sway logic.
I have also gotten a little bit of information on the Seraphs' ability. In that instant Dra-Tor initiated that attack, Celestia had reduced his Energy to Zero while Lumina multiplied his weight.
"Can you call off the attack you're making on my ship?" I asked the World Mind, not paying attention to the Kree men and women.
"{I believe it should be you who calls off any form of attacks.}" The World Mind said with a bit of sass in its tone. Perhaps it was my misconception, there was no way it could have that tone.
"Hmm, call them off then, ASPECT."
Aspect was quick to do as I instructed and soon, space regained its previous calm. The only evidence of a battle was the debris of destroyed spaceships floating aimlessly.
"{I'll leave the Chitauri in your capable hands then. I believe I would be in possession of the Mind stone as soon as you're done with it.}" The world mind said as I prepared to Boomtube away.
I paused and looked at its holographic face staring down at me and smirked. "You have my word."
Aspect took that as our queue to leave and opened up a Boomtube. We proceeded to leave as we came with two Seraphs leading the way while the other two guarded our rear.
The Boomtube deposited us back into our ship were the rest of the Hosts were already waiting. I acknowledged them with a nod which they took pleasure in and beamed.
I rolled my eyes at this and turned to the Control system. "Aspect, I'll send you the blue print containing the Universal Neural Teleportation Network. Have it installed into ours. It'll be useful after we're done here."
{Understood.}
"The rest of you. I'm pleased with the fact that we lost no one and would like for that to remain the case. The Chitauri operates on a Hive Mind system, so I'll expect you all to watch eachother's backs."
"We'd never watch as one of ours is killed in battle, father." One of the Archangels Named Uriel said as his eyes burned brightly. Of the Archangels, he was one of the few I gave an elemental ability. Fire.
Perhaps that led to his fiery temperament but who am I to judge?
"That much I know. I am only reminding you. This will be your second battle since your births." I said and sighed.
"Rest at ease Father. With the knowledge you've granted us, it'll be a dishonour should we lose any one of our brethren." A golden haired Archangels, Michael said with a soft smile which caused me to also smile.
He had that air around him. Having spent so long in my Heavenly Realm. I already expected them to have developed their own unique personalities and I would be lying If I said I didn't like what I was seeing.
"That's good to hear. " I said and looked at the others standing orderly behind the Seven. "You all will take a hundred of your brothers and sisters into battle. I expect you to be accountable of each and every one of them."
"And the rest father?" Ariel asked. She was one of the Archangels I gave an elemental ability alongside Uriel. She had a refreshing aura around her and a glance would tell that she was a caring lady.
"They will be on standby." I replied. There would be 300 Hosts left after they've all taken a hundred each into their squad. "The ship will need defending after we've all gone into battle so they will be that defensive squad."
"You are going into battle, father?" Raphael asked in surprise. He was one Archangels that wasn't really battle oriented and was more focused on healing. I made him that way for whatever reason.
"Hmm. You should not doubt the strength of your father little boy." I said with a snort which caused him to kneel in fright. "Am I that frightening?" I asked in shock at his reaction.
"I did say I'll have none of that."
"A thousand apologies father." He said and stood back up.
"Do not worry. I created you all with Free Will. I will not step on that Will by punishing you for every question asked." I comforted the boy. "As for the battle, the item I need to recover will probably disintegrate any one of you if you hold it."
"Goodness." Some of the angels exclaimed. You had to understand that to them, the only thing that could cause that level of damage didn't really exist. The Divinium they held in their hands were the strongest weapon in the Universe…or so they came to understand after wielding it.
"Hmm. It's one of the Crystals that holds one of the Conceptual energy of the Universe." I said and left it at that.
"We understand father. It will be a glorious and swift battle with you present with us." Gabriel said with a smile and I could already see myself liking her more than her siblings. She knew what to say and when to say it.
"Hmm." I hummed and turned back to the control hub. "Are we ready?"
{Affirmative Sir.}
"Then let's show this insects that to hold onto something as strong as the Mind Stone, a little bit of strength is necessary."
