Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Rising Tensions and Alliances of Power
Jason stood before the sprawling map of the world, a silent observer of the game he was playing, his fingers grazing the surface as if to trace the lines of fate itself. With the Akatsuki expanding, bringing in powerhouses like Magneto, Apocalypse, the vampires, the werewolves, and now the Atlanta's, Jason felt the shifting tides of history. But despite the strength of his alliances, one key player remained unchecked—S.H.I.E.L.D.. They were ever-vigilant, ever-strong, and they held a significant amount of influence in global politics, an obstacle that couldn't be ignored if Jason was to reshape the world according to his vision.
For Jason, the path to victory wasn't just through brute force, it was through manipulation, subterfuge, and timing. He knew that war would eventually come. It had to. But that war had to be planned with precision. S.H.I.E.L.D., while formidable, wasn't the only obstacle. The Hand, too, was an ancient organization, skilled in deception, assassination, and manipulation. They were a tool Jason had once used, but their loyalty to him was fleeting. If Jason was to ensure the world bowed before him, he had to secure not only the forces aligned with him, but also the means to strike at the heart of these institutions, particularly S.H.I.E.L.D., who were keenly aware of his growing power.
But there was a secret weapon—a move Jason had been planning for a long time, the culmination of both his cunning and ambition. To truly set his plans in motion, he needed to expand his influence in a way that no one could foresee. His next target: King Namor McKenzie of Atlantis.
It wasn't difficult to find Namor; after all, Atlantis had been rumoured to have existed for centuries, a hidden kingdom beneath the waves, separate from the affairs of humankind. Namor himself, however, had never been one to stay silent, let alone hidden. His pride, his fierce determination to protect his people, and his overwhelming power made him a ruler to be reckoned with.
Jason's first steps were more subtle—he began by sending his clones across the world, gathering intelligence on the ancient city of Atlantis and its king. What Jason quickly realized was that Namor's distrust of surface dwellers made him both a powerful and volatile ally. Atlantis was a place of unrivalled might, yet it was also a kingdom of secrets and endless threats from within. Namor was a king that demanded respect but also stood fiercely against anyone who would dare threaten his sovereignty.
But Jason, being who he was, knew that in order to bring Atlantis into his fold, he needed to offer Namor something no one else could—dominance over the oceans, unchallenged power, and the promise of mutual benefit. Namor had been fighting battles on all fronts for centuries, and Jason understood that Atlantis didn't need an alliance with a surface kingdom or with nations that were politically weak. No, Namor needed the assurance that Atlantis would rule alongside the strongest force in the world.
Jason's plan was to approach the king from an unexpected angle. Instead of an invitation to join the Akatsuki, Jason began by offering Namor something far more significant—a promise of dominance over the surface world and its resources. If Atlantis could control the oceans, Jason would help solidify their reign over the rest of the world. The human world, with its greed for resources and its insatiable need to control everything, would fall under their domain. All Namor had to do was ally himself with Jason's cause.
Jason reached out, using a proxy, a powerful sea creature—one of Namor's trusted generals—and planted the seeds of distrust among his ranks. He spoke of the great forces stirring on the surface, of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s ever-increasing influence, and of the fact that humans had been preparing for war with Atlantis. But with Jason's guidance, Atlantis could reshape the balance of power. The humans would not dare attack if they knew the seas themselves were under the rule of Atlantis—and more importantly, they would bow to the might of the Uchiha legacy.
When Namor finally met Jason, it wasn't through a warm invitation. Instead, the king of Atlantis appeared in a secluded meeting, deep beneath the ocean, within his palace of coral and stone.
"You've spoken of control, Uchiha," Namor's voice rumbled with the fury of a storm. "But how can I trust you? You offer power, but I have ruled the oceans for millennia. What could you possibly offer me that I do not already possess?"
Jason stepped forward, his Sharingan eyes gleaming faintly in the dim light of the oceanic palace. "I offer you more than just power, Namor. I offer you a chance to rewrite history. I offer you a future where the oceans are untouchable, where Atlantis no longer hides beneath the waves but stands at the center of the world's new order. I offer you the might of the Uchiha and the forces to crush anyone who dares stand in your way—surface-dwellers and mutants alike. Together, we will not be defeated. Together, we will be unstoppable."
Namor studied Jason, his eyes narrowed with scepticism but also intrigue. The promise of such overwhelming power was undeniable. After a long, tense pause, Namor extended his hand. "I will join you. But understand this, Uchiha. Atlantis will never bow to anyone, not even you. We are equals in this alliance. We do not serve."
Jason's lips curled into a smile. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
Now, with Atlantis on his side, Jason turned his attention to one of the most dangerous, covert organizations on Earth—S.H.I.E.L.D.. The global intelligence agency had long been a thorn in the side of anyone with the ambition to reshape the world. Their surveillance networks were vast, their reach far and wide, and their ability to counteract threats formidable. But S.H.I.E.L.D. was also a double-edged sword. They could be manipulated, divided, and turned against each other.
Jason had a plan to break them from within.
The first step was to send in agents to weaken S.H.I.E.L.D. from the inside—agents who were loyal to Jason's cause and could set the stage for larger upheavals within the organization. But there was one individual Jason knew he could use to create the perfect rift: Phil Coulson.
Coulson, despite his loyalty to S.H.I.E.L.D., had a deep sense of moral conflict and often found himself in a position where his conscience conflicted with the agency's orders. It was this weakness, this flaw in Coulson's character, that Jason planned to exploit.
Using a series of subtle manipulations, Jason began feeding Coulson misinformation, pushing him toward the idea that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s true leaders were compromised, that the agency had been infiltrated by forces beyond their control. In a moment of doubt, Jason made contact with Coulson personally.
"Agent Coulson," Jason's voice crackled through the comm-link, smooth and calm. "You've seen the cracks, haven't you? The shadowed figures in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s leadership. The ones pulling the strings. They're no longer serving the greater good. But I can offer you a way out—a way to put S.H.I.E.L.D. under control, to guide its future the way it should be."
There was a long pause before Coulson's voice came through, tinged with uncertainty. "What are you offering me, Uchiha?"
Jason smiled, his plans unfolding. "I offer you power. I offer you a chance to take control of S.H.I.E.L.D., to make it a tool that serves the true purpose of world order. Together, we can reshape the agency into something that will not only serve humanity—but dominate it. You just have to trust me."
Coulson, despite his reservations, was beginning to understand. "And if I do trust you…?"
Jason's voice grew firm, his presence unwavering. "If you trust me, you will have everything you need to expose the corruption and lead the agency toward its true potential. But remember—there's no turning back."
Coulson's decision had been made. He was already in too deep, and Jason knew it. He would not only be able to cripple S.H.I.E.L.D. from the inside but would eventually turn it into another piece of the Akatsuki's vast empire.
But Jason's plans didn't stop there. He knew that for the Akatsuki to rise to absolute power, he needed to solidify his grip on the mutant community, particularly with the X-Men. The X-Men had long been seen as a force for good, but Jason understood the potential of manipulating their ideology. After all, what were the X-Men but a fragmented group of individuals with powers beyond human comprehension, yet scattered and divided?
Jason reached out to Magneto again, this time offering a different perspective: the X-Men, already split between their ideals of peaceful coexistence and the harsh reality of mutant oppression, were vulnerable. With Jason's support, Magneto could recruit those who would support the cause of mutant supremacy and reshape the X-Men into an ally rather than a rival.
The mutants would rise, and S.H.I.E.L.D. would fall.
Jason's empire was growing, alliances forged in darkness, plans set in motion. The world, unaware of the rising storm, was already on the cusp of chaos. The Akatsuki, with their unmatched might, had begun to spread fear across the globe. The Uchiha name, once whispered in secret, would soon be shouted from the rooftops, and the world would have no choice but to bow.
But Jason knew that this was only the beginning. His ultimate goal was still far from reach, and there was much more to be done. Every piece on the board was in motion, and soon, the time would come for the final act of this grand play—a world where the Uchiha name ruled, and those who dared defy him would be crushed underfoot.
