Chapter 72: The Inverted Lu Stat
"I should upgrade it first before using, who knows if I can upgrade it after that or not," he muttered to himself, while opening the info page of the gear, selecting to upgrade it.
"System alert: Does player want to upgrade the tattoo gear? Please select from your inventory the materials needed for upgrade."
As usual, he selected SS ranked level five material, and this time he was astonished to see it was only upgraded by one rank only, with a minimal difference on the main gear.
"Hmm, so every ten ranks the gear will go into a major change, huh?" he muttered, before hurriedly selecting twenty materials at once for the next upgrade.
"System alert: Player can only use ten more materials at most. To increase the rank further, please upgrade the player's level."
He sighed, as he felt how special this gear was. He chose ten materials only, and then the tattoo got upgraded.
"Lizard tattoo: Special type gear, made by master Overt by mistake. Grade white. Rank eleven. No level required. No faction required. "Wow, this inverted Lu stat is really OP!" he exclaimed out in shock, while reading the description again. He never heard of any inverted stat before, and meeting such a new term now made him wonder if any other state had such an inverted one as well!
It was a regret that Lu stat was currently one of his lowest stats, despite transforming to be one of the most essential stat of his! "I must place all the points gained from the life shrine curse into this stat," he nodded his head while moving outside the hall.
"System alert: Does the player want to wield the gear? Take note: this is a special kind of gear, and the player has to choose a place for the tattoo to appear on this part."
Bloom had taken out the hexagonal piece of this gear, and the moment he did he received this system notification. He didn't think much, as he muttered:
"I choose my back."
"System alert: Player has chosen his back for the gear tattoo to be presented there. The gear effect will be effective immediately."
The moment the system alert finished, that token turned into smoke and seeped into his back. He felt a strange sting feeling there, with the urge to rub his back, as he did with both his hands. He felt something there, but he couldn't see it.
"Sigh, I should have chosen somewhere else I can see," he muttered, while exiting the gates of this auction house finally.
The moment he went outside, he recalled he had no return ticket to the village, so he had to return again to that NPC who sold him the manual. He bought ten return tickets to the village, spending ten gold coins there; a fair price indeed.
He didn't delay anymore as he headed directly towards the village gate. The streets of this village were currently empty except for rare walking NPCs here and there.
Bloom knew he had to finish his quest first, before returning here to spend his hard earned money. As far as he knew he could acquire more skills here, or even upgrade his own skills.
All was related to money, if he was rich he could be king, if he was poor he would stay a peasant! This game encouraged players to spend gold coins, and drive them to spend their real money to get more gold coins.
"Just typical of any game, sigh," he sighed, as despite being now a rich kid, the mere thought of going to the real world and ask for money still troubled him. he didn't know what to do or how to behave out there, and he just hoped he never would need to do such a thing here.
Besides, he came here to wreck the game, not to spend his own money on it to make the game owners and developers richer!
"Let's go and level up then before stealing the game's money," he evilly smirked before stepping outside for the first time.
The area outside the village gates was an open space world, where on the stretch of the eyes, many monsters were there.
"Let's open the manual again," he muttered, as he didn't read the manual in detail regarding monsters here. He hurriedly opened the manual, where it had some viable info regarding monsters here.
As he walked, he could make sure of the monsters mentioned in the manual, with the presence of many monsters he saw before and fought against at the starting point grounds.
And the most important rule here was the passive nature of these monsters! As he read for a couple of minutes, he lost all the interest in here, so he started checking the most important manual of monsters inside the wilderness.
