NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 56: Shadow Bandit Class

"System alert: Player can't alter the esteemed elder of the shrine of death curse."

He paused, before he got another idea. "Then I want to add that I can store death souls, up to infinite numbers, and can use these death souls later on at any time!" he said, after a long time of thinking.

"System alert: Infinite isn't available time for player. System suggests adding another time frame."

Bloom's eyes shone again, as this response meant he could store the death souls for later use. His main problem, which he would face the moment he would set foot to the village, was the lack of players.

Also, in the later period of the game, killing players daily would put some restrictions on him. He knew some rare and secluded places he might want to go, but the visit there would take days, even weeks!

So, if he couldn't store death souls, he would be in a great problem indeed! plus at some occasions, like the one he had right now, he could easily kill hundreds of players. It would be a great waste if he couldn't store their death souls, right?

His next question was immediate, as he hurriedly asked:

"How much time can I use?"

"System alert: Player has the right to store up to ten folds his initial required number by the esteemed elder of the shrine of death curse, and for ten days only."

He nodded, that seemed quite good actually, so he said:

"Great, I agree, add this part and I approve of the final alter."

"System alert: the changes will be as follows: each time a player absorbs one death soul, one of his stats will rise three points randomly for a day. Player can specify certain stats to gain this rise, not exceeding two stats, and gain two points only, one to each stat, active for one day. Player has the right to store up to ten folds his initial required number of death souls needed by the esteemed elder of the shrine of death curse, and for ten days only. Does the player concede to this?"

"I concede."

"System alert: modification has been made, and the curse will be permanent. To remove or alter the curse, the player has to use the same approach used here."

"Oho!"

Bloom's grin got widened, as he didn't think this way could be applied again! If so, then he could even change the death shrine curse, making it like a blessing to him.

As he now finished that, he checked his stats first, to find it exposed to the two curses combined effect, leaving him only with ten percent only of his original stats, the forcibly protected amount of his stats by the game system!

"The curses are really cruel! They got effective immediately once I got them," he muttered before watching his stats showing great increase suddenly, as the curse of the shrine of life elder was now removed by the new alteration.

He now had fifty percent only of his stats. Even with them he now could kill players, but with some challenges of course. The beauty of this curse when he thought about it was that I never specified a certain level, so he could kill even level zero players and still gain his death souls!

"That's simply awesome!" he muttered to himself as he pictured his future self. if he was now level eleven, then he could absorb eleven death souls, making his stats gain twenty two free points.

The beauty of it was that these points would grow the more he could grow stronger! He didn't like the idea of making his newly acquired points randomly, so he decided to choose the Str and Vit stats, his two main stats, to focus on.

"Now, let's see what this all secret class is about!"

He heard about bandits from before, as they were one of the common classes in dark player society. Dark players were those who loved to play it dirty, gain more benefits with lesser efforts, but with greater risk.

He opened his character profile, then found his class had changed already to the shadow bandit class. He glanced rapidly on his skills, to find them all present and active. After having a long sigh of relief, he chose the secret class and showed it details.

"Shadow bandit: Secret class. Tier two class. Player gains ten free attribute points each one level. Two attribute points will be forcibly allocated to Vit. One attribute point will be forcibly allocated to Str. One attribute point will be forcibly allocated to Res. One attribute point will be forcibly allocated to Int. One attribute point will be forcibly allocated to Lu. Each level player would gain two Sp points, and two Tp points.

For further details about the class, please select show class data. To upgrade the class tier to the next level, a player has to succeed in completing the preliminary conditions for upgrade. To show the conditions, please select show class upgrade data."

Bloom glanced at this data and felt speechless at first, before he felt confused. Bandits were considered part of the martial artist faction, a faction that depended entirely on Res and Str, but he never heard of a bandit that used the Int and Lu as well!

"Show class data," he said, while shaking his head, as it seemed this game had still its own secrets that no one had ever known from his past life.

"Shadow bandit: Secret class. The class is a merge between weapon wielder, shade son, staff holder, and martial artist factions. Player has access to special class skill tree and talent tree which are mainly composed of merging skills and talents between these factions.

The class needs the following main stats to be taken care of the player: Vit, Str, Int, Lu, and Res. Player is considered a dark agent of the darkness forces in the world of light, will be shouldered with quests to infiltrate the normal game life, do some sabotage, gathers intel, and might do other dirty work as well, provided that all of these are done without being discovered, or tagged as an outlaw by the normal game system.

Rules of stat distribution: according to the current tier, player can have ten free attribute points, six forcibly allocated to main stats, and other four will be allocated freely by the player. Each level player would gain two Sp points, and two Tp points."
