Chapter 47: The Quest of A Secret Class
"System alert: What is the decision of the player? Will player abandon the shrine of death quest and embraces the shrine of life quest? Will player abandon the shrine of life quest and embraces the shrine of death quest? Or does the player has another decision?"
"System alert: Player has to be warned, any choice he will make will be permanent, with no ability to change it again."
"What the F*uck!" Bloom loudly cursed, as this long train of alerts made him more shocked!
He never heard of this shrine of life before! Shrine of death was famous in his previous life, to some extent, but there was no mention of any shrine of life, not at all!
And now, he was forced to choose between one of the two shrines! That even made him angrier towards this game! he didn't want to belong to a faction! He wanted to destroy them all!
As he calmed down, he reread these alerts again, and this time he noticed something, he had the option to select another path other than the two suggested by the system.
"I chose to be alone, not belonging to any faction," he said.
"System alert: Player has relation to two out of ten factions in the game. If the player isn't going to choose any of the two factions, he must select the faction he would play under."
"You are really annoying, you know that!" Bloom wasn't satisfied by this last request of the game system, so he replied with anger:
"Fine, I refuse to attach myself to join any faction, instead I plan to be the enemy to all!"
He blurted that out, waiting for the system to tell him this was impossible to achieve, however the system had replied totally different to his expectations:
"System alert: Player has refused to join any of the ten factions."
"System alert: Player has decided to be the enemy of all factions."
"System alert: Player has already killed other players."
"System alert: Player has already stolen a quest from another player."
"System alert: Player has already tricked other players and acquired items belonging to other players without their knowledge."
"System alert: Player is eligible to unlock a secret class."
"System alert: Player has to fulfill these conditions before being eligible to wield the secret class:
1. Player has to kill one NPC at least.
2. Player has to trick one NPC at least, and acquire something belonging to him without his knowledge.
3. Player has to kill one hundred players.
4. Player has to do this before reaching level ten."
"System alert: Failing to acquire the secret class will be considered as failure by the system. As punishment, player will be forced to belong to one of the two factions, selected randomly."
Bloom read all these messages, before he muttered:
"What is this secret class?"
"System alert: classified!"
The response of the system of the game was cold and with no info at all. Bloom reread all these messages and he finally understood something.
Even if he planned to wreck this game, this game would still fall on a scenario prepared for such situations! Even all his actions were considered part of the conditions to open a secret class! and even all his deeds weren't enough to make him open the class now.
"So, basically I have to deal with NPCs from now on!" he muttered as this was all he needed to do, "the only issue here is related to that quest of the death shrine, as that NPC who stole the relic isn't here!"
This was his own dilemma, as he didn't want to abandon the two swords or his title.
Before he made up his mind, a system notification appeared again, startling him.
"System alert: An elder of the shrine of life has detected the presence of the seed of the tree of life. He has entered the map, and is waiting for you at the white mountain located at the end of the map."
Bloom looked in a strange way towards this last notification. "Game system san, if you have anything else you wanna say, say it now then," he shouted towards the sky, as he was already pissed of all these many alerts, which didn't come all at once!
He waited for a couple of minutes before he finally relaxed. The next thing he did was to open the game map, and see where this white mountain was!
The mountain was marked in his map, and it was really far from his current place. He estimated he needed at least six hours to go there. He closed the map as his mind started thinking about his next step.
He had to trick, and kill NPCs, plus many players as well. He didn't mind the players' quest, as this was already easy to achieve. Many players were already gathering to kill him, and so it seemed fair for him to start hunting them, killing them instead.
What caused a slight headache for him was the quest of killing and tricking the NPCs. He had to do these tasks without losing his title or swords, so he needed first to complete the quest, before he could do anything else.
"I must convince the NPC to help!" he said, as he took out the compass given to him by the death shrine elder. The moment he took it out, it started to rotate, aimlessly, as usual, before the needle stopped and pointed in a certain direction.
"What the hell!" he muttered in shock, before he realized a more shocking thing. He hurriedly reopened his map again, and compared the compass direction with the direction of the white mountain!
Before this, he once took out the compass to examine it, but its needle kept spinning, pointing to nowhere. That seemed logical, as the NPC he was looking for wasn't here at all.
However, the needle was now pointing in a certain direction, and strangely it was the same direction of the white mountain.
"Don't tell me that thief was an NPC of the life shrine!" that was the only explanation he had in mind, "that's awesome!!" he cheerfully muttered, as this was indeed very good news.
Suddenly a plan started to take shape inside his mind, and he liked this plan. If things went as he planned already, then he would keep the two swords, the mighty title, and complete the new assignments for him at the same time!
Before he could celebrate more, or even think deeper about his new plan, a sudden shout came to interrupt his brain storming.
"Here, I found him! he is here!"
This sudden shout came from far, as a group of ten players appeared in his eyesight. It was a team of players, and they were one of the endless teams looking for him.
He just sighed, as he wanted more time to think about his plan. However he didn't retreat, at all, as he wanted to kill a hundred players now.
"Let's get this small quest completed first as an appetizer," he muttered to himself, while his face showed an evil expression.
It was time to show players here how foolish it was to stand against him!
