Now That I Have Become a Woman, I Am a Vtuber

Chapter 26

The handshake scene between the malicious president of the broadcast and the newly joined viewers was an unprecedented moment in broadcasting history, igniting a fervor in the community.

Soo-hyun, who merely intended to soothe the chaotic chat, found that the handshake process was highly rated by the community users, exceeding her expectations.

[Miro is definitely a genius.]

(Miro’s chat room handshake meme with the president and incoming viewers)

The malicious president was publicly executed while simultaneously achieving a grand integration of Go-ru and the new arrivals… lol…

-I laughed so hard while watching the live broadcast.

-Isn’t this the Pulitzer Prize of the year?

[I was amazed by Miro’s buildup.]

Aggro with the broadcast title → people gather, she announces a fan name she picked solo → when the chatroom explodes with claims of dictatorship, she hangs the president upside down → simultaneously pulls in a newcomer to show that they are no different → makes them shake hands and brings about a grand integration.

The flow was as smooth as water…

This single instance allowed Miro to skip the bother of deciding a fan name with pesky fans and solidified the room’s atmosphere…

Is this really the first time she’s broadcasting with the audition? I was impressed watching this.

-For real, she’s smart.

-Is she really 21? Seems like she hasn’t worked a day in her life, yet she manages people well.

[But seriously, isn’t Miro-dan a bit hastily named?]

What kind of Team Rocket situation is this?

Looking at other peers, they take a considerable time brainstorming with the audience, but Miro just threw a name out there.

-But so what? lol

-If Miro calls it Miro-dan, then it’s Miro-dan.

-The Miro room doesn’t feel like a place to think collectively from the start.

[But isn’t the chat level in Miro’s room always this wild?]

I was kinda shocked when I saw the chat logs of the so-called president from the early broadcasting days…

Is this what a female VTuber’s chat looks like?

-Miro’s room has always been chill.

I don’t know because I haven’t seen, but is it like that for other members’ broadcasts?

-No, no, no, if you act like in Miro’s room, you’ll either get kicked or banned.

-Yep, I went to Anna’s room to sing a bit and got banned for it, you idiot.

-Miro would ban you for that too, you fool. lol

-The managers are the ones who let those kinds of chats slide from the beginning.

-What about The Six?

-They only do that during solo broadcasts, but when they collaborate, Miro seems to take care while avoiding too much interference.

-If they were going to say anything about this, they probably wouldn’t have picked them.

Thus, the community remained heated until Miro finished the broadcast and went to sleep that day.

***

Before I possessed her, the specialty of Kim Soo-hyun (Female) was undoubtedly painting.

Whether due to her natural talent or remarkable drawing skills, she started drawing in middle school – a little late compared to others, but her skills improved rapidly, and by the time she graduated high school, she was producing illustrations on par with professionals.

After honing her craft, she began adding her unique flair, and just before I possessed her, she had become a known artist in the “Bluebird” community.

She often took commissions, earning a sweet amount of pocket money.

Interestingly, it seems she was more troubled in the design department dealing with programs rather than her paintings.

Anyway, the reason for my thoughts now is that I logged into my Bluebird account after a long time.

-When will the writer come back?

-Are you not drawing anymore?

-I’m the one who applied for a commission last time. I’d like to apply again…

As I read the comments on my last post, nostalgia washed over me.

To think there are people waiting for me outside of broadcasting… well, technically, before my possession, so does that count?

But if my memories are intact and my body is still like this… is Kim Soo-hyun (Female) truly me, or am I not her?

“Difficult.”

I became tangled in sentimentality, making my head spin.

For now, I decided not to respond to the comments and instead uploaded a new post.

My first post in over a month was, of course, a drawing.

It was a piece I had worked on during and after my broadcast hours.

To be honest, it was somewhat different from the drawings that Kim Soo-hyun (Female) had uploaded till now.

Unlike her cute arrangements of fanart from the latest anime, what I just posted was a drawing of a character from an older manga, showcasing my utmost skills, and it was even a male protagonist, not a cute little girl.

A long-haired samurai holding a Japanese sword, striking a pose.

Perhaps because over the past several days I drew with all the techniques Kim Soo-hyun (Female) had in her memory? The quality was unbelievably high.

It wasn’t a drawing style where I could easily and quickly depict things according to my personality, but a serious piece where I poured all my effort onto the white canvas, and it was indeed different.

From the texture of the character’s clothing to every bit of arm muscle, the detailing nearly made my eyes pop out.

“Hu…”

Once was enough; I don’t think I can do it again.

The drawing I made was so well done that I was astonished myself, but having completed it left my waist sore and my wrist aching.

It might be better to draw comfortably like before.

Still, realizing my skills were impressive gave me a significant sense of achievement.

Well, since my drawing style might not fit well for a live broadcast, it might be better to be cautious and reveal my skills occasionally instead. These little things could certainly be advantageous for a VTuber.

After all, I remembered the VTuber back then could also draw well and produced lots of videos showcasing that.

Having uploaded the drawing and reflecting on how to conduct future broadcasts, my phone suddenly buzzed.

[Manager]

The sender was my manager.

Curious about what it could be, I answered the phone.

“Hello?”

[Oh, yes, Miro-nim.]

“Yes, Manager, what’s up?”

[It’s just that… You’ve now also settled on a fan name, right?]

“Right, I did decide that on my own…”

[Well, that’s okay. I didn’t expect you to take charge of the room’s atmosphere so effectively.]

The manager’s tone from the other end radiated admiration.

“Haha, didn’t I just throw out some random words?”

[When I heard it, it seemed too vague… So it seems you’re quite strong in actual situations.]

“That’s the first time I’ve heard that. What a compliment as a broadcaster.”

[It’s well-deserved. The company has been struggling to figure things out, and you solved them superbly. Anyway, the reason I called is that since everyone has adjusted to the incoming viewers, I was thinking about holding a collaboration together.]

“Oh, collaboration?”

Collaboration… Since the song was announced, we’ve been too busy attracting newcomers, so there hasn’t been such a schedule.

[Yes, we’re planning to gather all six of us and create content together. There’s nothing concrete yet, but we’ll be sorting out the dates in advance. Is there a date that works for you?]

“For me, any date is fine as long as you let me know a few days in advance.”

The only time I go out is for the Vocal Academy. Even then, I go in the early afternoon, so I’m generally free during broadcast hours.

[Is that so? Seems like the song you’re participating in doesn’t have a fixed schedule yet?]

“For me, I only have to record my part and send it over, so I just need to practice at home and the academy and record when the time comes.”

Though it’s called featuring, it practically means I just sing the lyrics set by Hyeon-su. Given that there’s still plenty of time until the album release, the schedule isn’t tight.

[That’s a relief. Then I’ll take it you’re free anytime.]

“Looking at it, I might come off as someone with no schedule, huh?”

[Haha! You don’t have a broadcasting schedule, do you?]

“Well… that’s true?”

[If it were up to me, I would love to suggest setting a schedule and making it consistent, but I’ve heard some viewers find the guerrilla broadcasts appealing as well.]

“Oh really?”

My broadcasting times are random.

I typically turn it on around dinner time and turn it off when I’m going to bed. Since I have to go to the Vocal Lessons in the early afternoon, I don’t stream for too late, so overall, it’s on the shorter side.

[You still broadcast often despite the random timings and shorter durations, right? Your off periods are quite rare.]

“Exactly? Since there’s nothing specific to prepare.”

Other Celestial Realm Project peers struggle a lot when it comes to broadcasting.

What to do today? They usually stream for at least five hours, so they’re serious about content planning.

So it’s common for them to be totally stumped about what to do that day and take a break to prepare.

[It seems like others feel a lot of pressure.]

“Well, they have every right to feel that way…”

After the song’s release, the increase in viewers was noticeable day by day…

It seems like the audition editing video by The Six has contributed significantly.

[But it’s a relief that you don’t feel too pressured.]

“For me… I just do what I always do.”

What can I say? There’s a strange confidence about me.

That even if I don’t prepare anything or don’t force myself into a mold, viewers will still want to watch me.

This line of thought stays the same whether there are 100 viewers, 1,000 viewers, or even now.

[Well, consistency is a good thing. Especially in situations like this where growth is underway, I think it’s best to maintain your original self.]

“Oh… Is that so?”

[Exactly. If the broadcast became stagnant, new attempts would be necessary, but when there are so many newcomers, keeping the previous image is advisable. The newly arrived viewers are drawn to the past that makes them excited to watch the present, right?]

“Oh… are you perhaps a humanities major?”

I’ve felt for a while that my manager speaks extraordinarily well. They probably offer this kind of advice to calm down other members too, right?

[Unfortunately, I’m a science major. Anyway, I’ll contact you again once the collaboration schedule is properly arranged.]

“Okay, take care.”

[Miro-nim, good luck with your broadcast today.]

After hanging up with the manager, I once again logged into Bluebird to check the reactions to the drawing I posted earlier.

I had put quite a bit of effort into that piece over several days. I wondered if it merited any comments.

With that hope, I logged in, but since it had only been a short while since I posted, the reactions were sparse.

You can’t expect to be full after just the first meal… feeling a slight disappointment, I spent the day, and the next day.

As I woke up in the morning, I opened my phone and was wide-eyed.

“Why are there so many notifications?”

After ending yesterday’s broadcast and going to sleep, several hours later, a flood of notifications from Bluebird awaited me.
