Chapter 17: The Flying Raijin
"Big sister, if you lose control of the Ninetails... the villagers will turn against you agressively. Their fear and hate won't be passive like it is at this moment. And when that happens, don't expect the Hokage to help you out in anyway.
After all, he ignored Sakumo when he was going through the worst experience of his life. Oh yeah, please don't tell the Hokage that I told you this." Kira said with an expressionless face and then silently left with Minato.
As for why he said something so risky, even he didn't know as frustration filled his heart as he walked outside.
'Fuck, couldn't I just shut my damn mouth... oh god...' he thought as turned around to look at Minato's house and once he did, he felt a sense of calmness.
'Yeah, I can trust her I guess... but it doesn't matter. The worst that could happen is that Hiruzen will stop supporting me. And if this happens, Danzo would still have to go through grandpa Kakeru to get to me.' he thought and let out a sigh of relief.
A few minutes after Kira left, Kushina shook her head and sighed, "Just how much did Sakumo's death effect him? It doesn't even feel like I'm talking to a kid anymore. Before he was cute, but now he scares me..."
*******
Midnight; After 16 hours, in the forest of death.
Kira stood as he stared at the kunai that was in his hand. It had a paper seal with a single word. He had successfully managed to make his first marked kunai, but his lesson wasn't over yet.
"That's the first step." Minato said before he began to explain more about his signature jutsu.
"Making the seals and marking things or people is the easier part of this jutsu. This part is basically fuinjutsu based. The problematic part is the way you understand how space and time work in this universe. The better your understanding, the better you can use this jutsu.
This is also the reason why, even if the seal marks are different and are made by two different people, they can still use them for teleportation. The seal mark simply works as a check point.
Of course, this only works if the understanding of space and time is similar. If it's too different, then the users can't use each other's seal marks.
Any person who knows how the jutsu works and has a "proper and similar" understanding on how space and time work, will be able to use the seal marks of others as their own.
The second limitation is, of course, chakra reserves. Even the most basic teleportation consumes a lot of chakra but there are other ways to use it, such as teleporting items.
In this case, the chakra consumed will depend on the mass of the object. The higher it is, the more chakra you'll have to expend.
The final limitation will be your reaction speed. When I started using the flying raijin, my reaction speed wasn't too great but as time passed and I practised more, my reaction speed increased and I was able to create the second version of the flying raijin and also the third version.
Why don't you throw your kunai away and try to use the jutsu now? After all, that's the only way of knowing how to use this jutsu. Experience plays a huge role in improvement."
Kira nodded and threw his kunai at a tree before closing his eyes. The flying raijin was a simple, yet extremely difficult jutsu to master. He was someone from earth and since he was from a place where the science of how space and time worked with each other was accessible to the public, grasping the intricacies of the flying raijin was easy for him.
So when he closed his eyes and used the seal he had made on his palm, he instantly appeared in front of the tree.
Even though it could be considered a success, Kira felt like his stomach was twisting up. He tried to hold it in, but at the end, he couldn't and emptied the contents of his stomach.
After he was done puking to his hearts content, he wiped his lips with a leaf nearby and looked at Minato who seemed impressed.
"I did it but I don't think I'll be able to use it in fights." Kira said as he looked at Minato, hoping to get a solution to his problem.
Minato nodded his head, "Right, that's how I started too. Show me your hand."
Kira did as he was asked and when Minato saw his hand, he began to explain, "Try to sense your chakra. Once you do, you'll be able to feel the chakra that you used to create the seal mark on your palm."
Nodding in response, Kira did exactly as he was told to and used his senses to feel the chakra of his seal mark.
It was similar to writing a word like "wood" in cursive, but the size of each letter was different. Along with that, each letter had multiple curves. Some places had too much chakra and some had too less.
Once he was done feeling the chakra of his own mark, he checked Minato's and the difference was quite apparent.
While his mark could be compared to a 3 year old kid trying to learn how to write, Minato's was like a uniform handwriting. It wasn't as perfect as a typed document, but it was still pretty clone.
'Well this is pretty relatable I guess... back on earth, even I wouldn't understand my handwriting. While Minato's is similar to my sister's beautiful handwriting.' he thought as he compared both of their seal marks.
"How do I improve my seal mark then?" he asked as he looked up at Minato who simply smiled, "Just keep practising and you'll slowly manage to do it. To get better, you'll have to improve your chakra control so go back to sir hokage and ask him for methods where you can improve your chakra control."
