Chapter 25: 25. Extermination day
Beelzebub reclined on her throne, a wicked smile playing on her lips as she observed the chaos unfolding around her. The three Cerberus girls were chasing each other, their playful barks and laughter echoing through the grand hall. They tumbled and rolled, their boundless energy a stark contrast to the impending doom outside.
Beside her, Pandemonica stood, her posture as rigid and composed as ever. She adjusted her glasses and glanced at Beelzebub, curiosity glinting in her eyes. "Lady Beelzebub, why did you send Rosie on that particular mission?"
Beelzebub's smile widened. "Well, Pandemonica, I need someone who can provide me with information on other sinners. To stay ahead of the game and keep my parties modern and... interesting." Her tone was casual, but the underlying menace was unmistakable.
As they conversed, Justice stormed into the room, her expression set with determination. "Beelzebub, I challenge you again!" she declared, her fists clenched.
Beelzebub sighed, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "Justice, when will you learn?" With a swift, effortless motion, she delivered a punch that sent Justice hurtling into the sky, disappearing into the clouds above.
The clock in the center of Hell, an enormous hourglass, was nearing its end. Beelzebub watched the sand trickle down with anticipation. "The Extermination Day is almost upon us. I wonder how fun that will be."
The final grains of sand fell, and the sky above Hell cracked open. Angels and exorcists began to descend upon the Pride Ring, their radiant forms stark against the dark sky. Beelzebub's eyes gleamed with amusement and excitement as she watched the spectacle.
"Rosie better not die," she mused aloud. "She has a good appetite."
Pandemonica adjusted her glasses once more, a slight smile on her lips. "My Lady, Rosie will be fine. She has an entire town under her thumb. I believe she'll handle herself quite well."
Beelzebub leaned forward, her gaze fixed on the descending angels. "I wonder if I could kill one of them without magic," she pondered, her voice tinged with dark curiosity.
As the first angels touched down in the Pride Ring, chaos erupted. Demons scattered, fleeing from the heavenly invaders, while others took up arms to defend their territories. The sky was filled with the sounds of battle, screams, and the clash of weapons.
Beelzebub rose from her throne, her eyes never leaving the scene outside. She felt a thrill of excitement at the prospect of joining the fray. "Pandemonica, keep an eye on things here. I'm going to have some fun."
Pandemonica bowed slightly. "As you wish, my Lady."
With a graceful leap, Beelzebub soared into the air, her wings unfurling behind her.
In the sky above the chaos of the Pride Ring, Adam, the head exorcist, hovered with a sense of superiority. His angelic form glowed with an ethereal light, and his expression was one of haughty disdain as he observed the angels below executing their mission. Adam was self-centered, egoistic, and arrogant—a perfect embodiment of angelic pride gone awry.
As he watched the scene, a faint buzzing sound caught his attention. He turned, slightly annoyed, and his eyes widened in surprise. Floating before him was Beelzebub, her smile as wicked as ever.
"Hello, little Adam," she purred, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "It's been a while."
Adam's initial alarm quickly turned to his usual arrogance. "Hey there, Beelzebub. Haven't seen you since Eden, damn you look hot. What do you want?"
Beelzebub's smile widened. "Nothing much, just wondering what you're up to."
Adam raised an eyebrow. "Well, I lead the exorcists to cleanse Hell of sinners," he replied smugly. "What else would I be doing babe?"
"I see," Beelzebub said, her tone amused. "Want some popcorn?"
Out of nowhere, Beelzebub conjured a bag of popcorn and two chairs. She plopped down in one, reclining with a casual grace, and gestured for Adam to join her. Despite himself, Adam was intrigued. With a shrug, he took the seat beside her and grabbed a handful of popcorn.
"Hell, yeah, thanks," he said, crunching loudly.
Below them, the battle between demons and angels raged on. Beelzebub watched with an air of detached amusement, her eyes gleaming with a mix of excitement and curiosity. "I wonder if I could kill one of them without magic," she mused aloud, her voice tinged with dark curiosity.
Adam glanced at her, a smirk on his lips. "You think you can take on an angel bitch. Let's make a bet that you can't hurt one of my babes without your tricks?"
Beelzebub laughed, the sound sending shivers down Adam's spine. "Oh, I don't know, Adam. Maybe?"
She leaned forward, her eyes narrowing as she focused on a particularly fierce angel battling below. With a graceful leap, she launched herself from the chair, diving into the fray. She landed with a thunderous crash, the ground cracking beneath her feet as she squared off against the angel.
Adam watched from above, intrigued despite himself. Beelzebub moved with a fluid grace, her every motion precise and deadly. She didn't use any magic, relying solely on her physical prowess. The angel, realizing who he was facing, attacked with renewed vigor, but Beelzebub was relentless. With a powerful strike, she cut of her arm, that was holding angelic sword.
"Looks like I didn't need magic after all," she remarked, her tone triumphant.
"Holy fuck how did you do that, injuring angel is impossible!" Adam squealed
Beelzebub stood over Adam, her eyes gleaming with a predatory light. "Go back to your heaven," she sneered. "And tell your kind that Beelzebub is not to be trifled with."
The angel vanished in a flash of light, and Beelzebub returned to her throne, her presence commanding and powerful. The Cerberus girls had quieted down, their eyes wide with awe as they watched their mistress. Pandemonica remained by her side, ever vigilant.
"Today has been entertaining," Beelzebub remarked, a satisfied smile on her lips. "Let's see what tomorrow brings." She took the hand of the exorcised she cutted down and started to eat it. "I should left some for Rosie, I will gave her a pinky finger."
