Neo Soul King Yhwach

Chapter 99: Lille Barro's Trial: Kenjaku's Plan against Yhwach

Choso and Jogo were beginning to get their bearings in check now, too. They lazily opened their eyes and softly mumbled to themselves.

Kenjaku: Looks like you're all awake. Now, for our next...

Kenjaku said only to be cut off by something extraordinary; Kenjaku was struggling to hold the prison realm itself.

Jogo was the first to notice and asked the man before him.

Jogo: What's wrong?

Suddenly the Prison Realm Cube dropped to the floor in between the group, cracks forming around the floor beneath them. Everyone widened their eyes in complete shock.

Kenjaku: I can't believe this!

Kenjaku exclaimed.

All of the eyes on each side of the Prison Realm Cube began to cry their eyes out; the iris of their eyes resembled Satoru Gojo's. The eyes frantically looked around the area.

Scene Break - Inside of the Prison realm

Gojo was simply lying down in the prison realm with Zaegar next to him eating a living cow

No, you didn't read that wrong, and no you can't ask how Zaegar got an alive cow

with hordes of skeletons seemingly attempting to get at them, only to be prevented by Gojo's infinity. Gojo sheepishly rubbed his head.

Gojo: Looks like physical time isn't passing inside here. Zaegar, I screwed up.

Gojo says it in a chipper tone.

As Gojo turned around to address Zaegar, he noticed something peculiar. There, right beside Zaegar, was a living cow.

Gojo blinked in confusion, his eyes widening at the sight. He couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Gojo: Zaegar... is that... a living cow?

His tone was incredulous, a mixture of surprise and disbelief evident in his voice.

Zaegar looked up from his meal, a mischievous grin spreading across his tiny dragon face as he glanced at Gojo.

Zaegar: Yeah, it is! Found it wandering around in here. Figured it'd make for a tasty snack!

He replied casually as if it were the most normal thing in the world to find a living cow inside a prison realm.

Gojo shook his head in bemusement, a small chuckle escaping his lips despite the seriousness of their situation.

Gojo: Only you, Zaegar. Only you could manage to find a living cow in the middle of nowhere.

Zaegar finished devouring the cow in a single gulp, licking his lips contentedly before turning to Gojo with a mischievous glint in his eyes. With a flourish, he pulled out a chessboard seemingly out of thin air, placing it between them.

Zaegar: Albino, let's play a game while we wait. It'll make the time go by faster!

He flashed Gojo a toothy grin, his excitement palpable as he set up the pieces on the board.

Gojo couldn't help but chuckle at Zaegar's enthusiasm, shaking his head in amusement.

Gojo: I don't even want to ask how you managed to conjure up a chessboard in here, but sure, why not? It beats just sitting around doing nothing.

Scene Break

Yhwach was currently running as fast as he could to reach the platform Zaegar was on. He was alarmed that he could no longer sense his inner hollow, Multiple cursed users and transfigured humans had each gotten in his way, preventing him from making it sooner. They were ruthlessly dispatched, their blood coating his outfit.

Yhwach had noticed the presence of five individuals with high cursed energy. a few of them were familiar to him.

Scene Break

Moments after Mahito destroyed the Mechamaru puppet who had spied on them. The blue-haired curse rubbed the remains underneath his boot.

Mahito: Man, now they know what we're doing. The sorcerers are going to come here in force now.

Mahito commented.

Kenjaku: I'll be staying behind. What about the rest of you?

Kenjaku asked.

Choso: I'm getting revenge for my younger brothers and killing Itadori Yuji and Kugisaki Nobara. Then I'll go get the rest of my brothers from where they're being kept in Jujutsu High.

Choso answered.

Jogo: I don't care about this Kugisaki, but you can't kill Itadori. He's the vessel of Sukuna; we need him to deal with Yhwach.

Jogo responded.

Choso: Not my problem.

Choso shot back. Jogo was not happy with this answer as the pair stared down at each other.

Mahito decided to interject, placing his head in between the pair and simply replying to them,

Mahito: Guys, calm down. Honestly, we need Sukuna's help with Yhwach. Since He'll be hunting all of us down for sealing his little lizard friend. Choso, that will include your brothers too.

Mahito cheerfully said.

Choso: What do you mean, he'll-

Choso shouted before being cut off by Mahito.

Mahito: If you kill Itadori now, you won't be able to free your brothers from Jujutsu Tech. We need Sukuna to kill Yhwach; he's the only one who can.

Mahito finished.

Choso: Sukuna isn't our ally. We'll be facing greater risk if he is resurrected.

Choso responded.

Jogo: But if Sukuna is resurrected, that's guaranteed to usher in the age of curses. We're not like the humans of today. We do not fear death, and we follow the path to our goals without falsehoods. That is the essence of our curses that those fakes lack.

Jogo responded.

Mahito: You're wrong.

Mahito stated.

Jogo: Huh?!

Jogo blurted out, annoyed at the response. He began to steam a little more than usual.

Mahito: No matter how off-kilter or inconsistent, we always act in accordance with our true desires. That's what it means to be a curse. Oh, when I said you were wrong, I meant regarding what curses are. I agree that the whole resurrection thing should happen for the age of curses to emerge. Nor do I really want to fight Choso over it.

Mahito responded.

Mahito: So, how about we play a game?

Mahito suggested.

Mahito: If you run into Itadori first, you can kill him. If we find him first, we can give him the fingers and let Sukuna regain his power.

Mahito offered.

Mahito: Is that okay?

Mahito asked cheerfully.

Choso: That's fine, of course.

Choso answered.

Mahito turned his head to face Kenjaku.

Mahito: You're more on our side if you had to pick, right, Geto? What about you?

Mahito inquired.

Kenjaku: I have to stay here and watch over the prison realm. So I'll abstain.

Kenjaku answered.

Mahito analyzed his face for a moment, doubting his intentions on the matter. He didn't believe him.

Kenjaku: Do whatever you'd like. As far as I'm con-

Kenjaku stopped talking, shock plastered on his face as he noticed a certain old man was slowly approaching.

Mahito, Jogo, Choso, and the squid-like curse noticed the shocked look on his face. They all turned their heads at the same time. Fear and shock consumed them, The raw spiritual pressure oozing out of Yhwach suggested he was out for blood.

Yhwach coated in blood, slowly approached. His slow footsteps echoed around the train platform. The cursed spirits and Kenjaku were speechless. They hadn't anticipated him arriving so soon.

Yhwach: Where is Zaegar?

His words cut through the tense silence, sending a chill down the spines of those present. The cursed spirits exchanged uneasy glances, unsure of how to respond to the powerful being before them.

Meanwhile, within Yhwach's mind, Ginjo observed the scene with a mix of apprehension and curiosity.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind ) You know, Yhwach, the way you're covered in blood and demanding stuff from these curses kinda reminds me of that movie we watched with Zaegar.

He remarked, his tone laced with a hint of amusement despite the seriousness of the situation.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Now is not the time for idle chatter, Ginjo.

The group finally picked up their bearings. Jogo and Mahito were laughing amongst themselves; they both took pleasure in Yhwach's anger for their own personal reasons.

Mahito: Heh! Heh! Heh! Heh! Heh! Yhwach was it?... You're too funny! I had some good laughs with your pet little lizard earlier, too.

Mahito was the first to reply; he was laughing immensely at Yhwach's anger.

Mahito: You should've been there.

Mahito said, giggling.

Yhwach: Indeed...I should have been there.

Yhwach calmly responded.

Yhwach then lazily fired off multiple Heilig Pfeil at the group, which they just barely managed to avoid. Mahito couldn't escape unscathed, as his right arm and left leg were blown off. It was then that the blue-haired curse spirit realized

Mahito: (In thought) He's destroying part of my soul! Not only that, he's cleansing it and absorbing it for himself. I need to run! I'll die at this rate.

Yhwach crossed his arms together. Jogo, Choso, and Dagon backed up a little, unsure of how to approach this situation.

Yhwach: Admirable reflexes, I must say. But that was merely a greeting.

His voice carried a mocking tone.

Kenjaku: (In thought) Even a mere "monkey" could manage such a feat. But those beams lack cursed energy. How is this possible? He possesses no trace of cursed energy, yet he perceives cursed spirits. He is unlike Toji Zenin, burdened by a heavenly restriction, nor does he wield any visible cursed tools.

Yhwach looked at each and every one of the curses behind him. and decided on his first target.

Yhwach blitzed past Kenjaku, past Mahito, past Jogo, and finally past Choso. He reached his target as he manipulated his Reiatsu to affect the curse's bloodstream so much that it felt like abscesses formed within the inside of his skin only to burst instantly. This process repeated itself at least several times.

Jogo was the first to scream out.

Jogo: Dagon!

Mahito: (In thought) So fast!

Mahito thought to himself as he grew his leg and arm back.

Dagon began to screech in agony, attempting to free himself from this torture. Yhwach was expressionless as Dagon collapsed onto the ground.

Kenjaku: (In thought) That fool

Kenjaku thought to himself, cursing Mahito for his choices. He slowly backed off as he prepared to use the multiple curses he had stocked up just for Yhwach. He didn't expect they would win against them, but it certainly would buy them enough time. He first wanted to allow the group of curses to fight; every second counted for him.

Jogo was the first to attack as he engulfed his fist, attempting to strike at Yhwach's head, to which the man lazily dove underneath.

Choso used his Blood Manipulation Technique to fire off at Yhwach's head before lazily swatting it away as if it were nothing but a mere fly.

Mahito transfigured his own arm into a sword, attempting to slice Yhwach's head. The Quincy king simply moved his head to avoid this, too.

After the trio of curses gathered themselves for a moment, Yhwach chuckled softly.

Yhwach: You three are reminiscent of those pitiful devil kings I encountered in the past.

Mahito: Oh yeah? And what happened to them?

Yhwach stared at Mahito blankly for a moment, his expression unreadable, before he responded with chilling certainty.

Yhwach: They died.

His words hung in the air, heavy with finality.

Mahito's confidence wavered slightly at Yhwach's blunt response, but he quickly regained his composure, unwilling to show weakness in front of the Quincy king.

Mahito: And you think you can make me die the same way, huh?

He scoffed, attempting to mask his unease with bravado.

Yhwach's expression remained unchanged as he spoke with a chilling calmness.

Yhwach: You'll die the same way that red-haired devil king did.

As Yhwach's words hung in the air, Mahito's bravado faltered, replaced by a sense of dread as the Quincy king stepped forward, closing the distance between them with unnerving ease. Before Mahito could react, Yhwach was upon him, his hand plunging into Mahito's chest with a sickening squelch.

Mahito's eyes widened in horror as he felt Yhwach's hand tear through his soul, ripping it apart with merciless precision. Agony coursed through his being as his essence was torn asunder, leaving him gasping for breath as darkness closed in around him.

With a final, guttural scream, Mahito collapsed to the ground, lifeless and broken. Yhwach withdrew his hand from Mahito's chest, holding his still-beating heart in his grasp with a look of cold satisfaction.

Yhwach: Another one dead, three more to go.

His voice was calm and devoid of emotion as he tossed Mahito's heart aside.

Kenjaku quickly decided to take action, summoning the strongest curse in his possession.

"Judge of the Souls Yama"

Suddenly, Yhwach was transported into a graveyard; it was cold and seemingly desolate. There was no sign of anyone nearby. Jogo, Choso, and Kenjaku had disappeared from his grasp. He was angry but still had to pay attention to his surroundings.

Scene Break

Just outside the domain, the remaining curses were panting heavily. Kenjaku casually walked up to the duo with a strained smile.

Kenjaku: You'll all need to leave now if you want Itadori.

Kenjaku commented.

Kenjaku: As far as I'm concerned, Sukuna is the alternative if Judge Yama fails to kill Yhwach.

Kenjaku stated.

Jogo: That's ridiculous. We've just seen the power he displayed. We'll need Sukuna to kill Yhwach.

Jogo chimed in. then walked away with Choso.

Kenjaku looked off to the side as he began talking to someone else.

Kenjaku: Those cursed spirits are smarter than you two.

Two teenage girls were hiding among the crowd of non-sorcerers. It was Nanako and Mimiko, the two girls that Suguru Geto had raised since 2007.

Nanako: Give him back.

Nanako ordered.

Mimiko: We cooperated with you and kept dropping monkeys for you.

Mimiko mentioned.

Nanako: Now give us back Geto-sama's body as you promised.

Nanako demanded.

Twins: Don't toy with...Geto-sama any further.

The twins said it in unison.

Kenjaku: Obviously, I'm not giving him back. I don't recall leaving your heads empty, too. Next time you make a promise with a sorcerer, you should make it clear that it's a pact.

Kenjaku lectured, turning his head back away from them.

Kenjaku: Now, begone. Or do you want to be killed by this body?

Kenjaku warned.

Mimiko: You'll regret this.

Mimiko warned as the twins disappeared into the crowd of non-sorcerers.

Kenjaku looked into the eyes of the Prison Realm Cube itself, sitting himself down as he spoke to himself.

Kenjaku: Regret, huh? Now, how did that taste again?

Scene Break - Yama's Domain

Yhwach began to cautiously walk forward, attempting to escape the domain as quickly as possible; he didn't want to risk exhausting himself slightly in case Kenjaku was banking on him using it. He needed as much energy to deal with any threat that could emerge, and with Zaegar's stats being unknown, he knew they'd all come for him now.

He immediately stopped himself as multiple hands emerged from the ground around him. Much to the old man's surprise, it was the corpses of every person he'd ever known in his life. From Bazz-B and Jugram to AJ.

Friends, allies, and enemies alike were emerging from their burial sites. These corpses were screeching while they climbed out of their respective tombstones.

The undead corpses who had weapons with them dragged their weapons across the snowy grass as they slowly but surely surrounded Yhwach.

Multiple corpses stared directly at him; multiple were purely skeletons with some rotten flesh stuck within their ribs. Some were completely deformed, looking animalistic; rotten flesh seeped from their torn clothing.

All Yhwach could see were nothing but the hollow corpses of people he knew.

The corpse of Bazz-B slowly opened its mouth, dribbling rotten pus from its mouth. The rest of the corpses were growling at the sight of Yhwach. He extended his left leg, preparing for a fighting stance.

Yhwach then made a reishi blade because Yhwach knew it would be one hell of a fight...

The corpse of Yamamoto screeched out as the others roared in unison with him. Bazz-B's corpse was the first to attack, sending a Burner Finger 1 aiming at Yhwach's head, which he managed to dodge.

This kick-started the assault from all of the corpses. The first undead that approached was immediately slashed by Yhwach, disappearing as a result. The next undead was sliced in half vertically; right after, another undead attempted to attack Yhwach, which was blocked and countered.

Yhwach managed to swiftly defeat three of the undead, but there were plenty more. Another two approached him from behind; this time it was Ichigo and Renji.

Yhwach swiftly cut them down; he couldn't let emotions get in the way of his survival right now; he knew it was an illusion.

Another three charged directly for him, only to be sliced apart within a split second. With each undead running towards the Quincy king, they were swiftly sliced into nothingness.

One undead attempted to flank from Yhwachi's right, which the man twirled elegantly, slicing the undead from the head down.

Another two undead approached, only to be exorcised within a moment. Any undead spirit that came for him was quickly dispatched. Four more undead attacked at the same time, only for Yhwach to dodge two incoming strikes, which ended up with the two undead stabbing each other before Yhwach took advantage, slicing their necks.

He parried any attack the other two undead spirits attempted, slicing the first one by the head and the other by the chest. Even more hordes of undead began charging for him; they were relentless. Ten more undead began charging from every angle, only to be ruthlessly exorcised by the Quincy king.

One undead attempted to swing their axe to severe Yhwach's head; he managed to slice off the hilt of the axe before stabbing the undead and kicking it away. One undead used their spear to try to stab Yhwach for him again, slicing the spear handle in half while slicing the spirit too.

He jumped upwards, landing on top of one of the graves to kill another two. The Quincy king somersaulted onto another gravestone, killing another two, only to jump back down.

Yhwach started to run around while even more hands emerged from the ground. Yhwach dispatched another five, which ran in front of him as he quickly turned to face his left.

Another seven undead spirits charged at the Quincy king quickly exorcised in the process. Yhwach seemingly had the situation under his control until...

He saw the corpse of Jugram holding Freund Schild and a Broadsword, and he froze for a second as the undead Jugram attempted to stab Yhwach. Yhwach had barely managed to avoid the attack; his trench coat was caught by the broadsword, which tore a gigantic hole inside it.

Yhwach broke the broadsword as he sliced Jugram's head off.

Yhwach quickly ran to a different area, landing on the snowy grass nearby. He killed another two spirits before running forward with two more spirits chasing him. He momentarily clashed his blade with one of the undead before immediately executing the pair before him.

Yhwach ran further ahead before jumping over one undead, jumping in between two of them, and managing to simultaneously kill that pair nearby.

The Quincy king ran towards the gates with his back against the wall. Twirling around to send a devastating roundhouse kick on one undead, kicking its head off. Another three spirits charged from both his left, right, and front, only to be quickly exorcised.

Another seven curses, with spears, tried rushing towards Yhwach. The Quincy king jumped over the gate, pulling each spear towards him and slicing each of their heads off.

Two gigantic undead, whom Yhwach didn't actually recognize, charged from behind with their gigantic battleaxes. He dodged the attacks before countering by cutting the head off one and kicking the ribcage of the other one out of its body.

Yhwach eyes widened in shock at the sheer number; it didn't seem they were letting up anytime soon. Yhwach sliced the first two undead downwards before blocking one strike and punching its head off. Another couple of undead were ruthlessly killed, not even able to attack.

Yhwach jumped, going to a different part of the graveyard. Only to be rushed almost instantly, Yhwach dispatched the undead spirit, kicking its head off. He sliced the legs off an entire group of five within a second.

Another three cursed spirits were charged. Yhwach jumped up, twirling himself around as he gracefully blocked, parried, and countered within a second, executing the trio.

There was a pause; it appeared to be that the undead spirits were exorcised. Yhwach looked around for a moment; only his pure instinct was guiding him, with no emotion or thoughts.

Judge of the Souls Yama observed Yhwach for a moment, trying to probe him for any physical weakness. Unfortunately for it, the curse couldn't find any chinks of armor for the time being.

But then, Yama decided to probe Yhwach for any mental weaknesses; it wanted to test the Quincy king psychologically...

Yhwach was still on guard in the graveyard when suddenly the atmosphere changed. The graveyard was suddenly transformed into a forest, seemingly peaceful.

Yhwach: (In thought) This change is not without purpose...

Yhwach thought to himself. Yhwach walked around slowly, keeping on guard for anything that could pop out from any of the trees nearby. He eventually made it toward a lake. He observed the lake before hearing a voice...

The voice of his other half Jugram Haschwalth...

Jugram: Your Majesty, please! I need your help!

Jugram's plea echoed through the air, startling Yhwach. Was this domain manipulating his deepest fears and desires, using them against him?

Clementine then spoke up, emerging from the lake too.

Clementine: Hey, Yhwach! Don't leave us!

Yhwach closed his eyes as he replied.

Yhwach: No.

AJ spoke up out of nowhere, and Yhwach's eyes shot wide open.

AJ: You...You left us.

Lille Barro also said.

Lille Barro: You left us!

Jugram and Bazz-B spoke in unison.

Jugram and Bazz-B: You abandoned your purpose!

Yhwach: No, I haven't.

His voice was firm, betraying none of the turmoil he felt inside.

You left us all...To...Die!!

Everyone that Yhwach knew said it in unison, their voices morphing into demonic beings. Their deformed, mutilated bodies tried to reach for Yhwach, screaming like banshees. Only at the end could the voice of someone be heard, wailing in the background.

The area cleared up once more. Yhwach noticed a powerful presence from across him, where the lake once was.

This blackened demon stared towards Yhwach as the domain shifted to nothing but a black-and-white void itself, seemingly never-ending. The souls of unfortunate souls were displayed as if they were merely trophies for this cursed spirit.

Scene Break - Central Shibuya Tower

On the rooftop of the central Shibuya tower. The grandson and the elderly woman were observing what they just witnessed happening around them.

Grandson: The curtains are lifted. What now, Granny?

The grandson pointed it out, asking the elderly woman.

Something was happening with the grandson.

Grandson: Wh-Wh-Wh-Wh-Wh-What do we do now?

The grandson asked, stuttering quite a bit. His body was tensing as if he were unable to control his own body.

Grandma: It won't hurt to keep Gojo Satoru and Yhwach out of play. So go down below and kill sorcerers.

The elderly woman answered, turning her head to look at her grandson. She was a bit concerned with him, noticing his shift in behavior, and asked him.

Grandma: Grandson?

The grandson straightened out his body posture. With his back still turned to the elderly woman, Toji Fushiguro himself had gained control over the grandson's body.

Toji: Who the fuck do you think you're ordering around, old hag?

Toji asked, furious.

The elderly woman was in shock, sweating profusely. She stood up immediately to back away from him.

Grandma: What's the meaning of this?! I only channeled the body's information!

The woman questioned.

Toji: Channeled? Oh, so that's why.

Toji responded, realizing how he managed to come back.

Grandma: (In thought) Yes. I've always made it a point not to channel the soul's information in order to prevent accidents like this ahead of time.

The elderly woman thought to herself.

Toji: I don't really get it, but my body's special. I guess it just means this guy's soul couldn't win against my body.

Toji stated.

Grandma: A soul losing to a body?! No! That's impossible!

The elderly woman shouted; her body was shaking so much that she was barely standing.

Toji: Kill sorcerers, huh?

Toji muttered to himself, effortlessly using his superior speed to appear directly in front of the woman before going on to ask.

Toji: You're a sorcerer, too, right?

Toji immediately killed the woman; just as she was turning her head, the woman's blood splattered onto the ground, dropping her charms onto the ground.

Scene Break - Yama's Domain

Yhwach stood across from the demon before him. It appeared as if Yama and Yhwach were consumed with black flames; there was no color to be seen. The poor souls that were trapped screamed silently; evidently, their voices were too strained.

Suddenly, Yhwach was trapped within a blackened cage, emitting the same black flames that appeared on Yama and himself. He screamed in pain for a moment, though no sound had actually come out.

Yama rotated and snapped his own neck, staring directly at Yhwach. He slowly flew closer to the man, inspecting his new prize. The Judge of Souls then began to float away, much to the Quincy king's annoyance.

Yhwach gritted his teeth, frustration evident in his expression as he attempted to break free from the blackened cage that trapped him. He poured all his power into trying to shatter the dark prison but to no avail. The cage seemed impenetrable.

Yama's laughter echoed around him, a cruel sound that grated on Yhwach's nerves. The Judge of Souls seemed to revel in Yhwach's helplessness, finding amusement in his futile attempts to escape.

Just as Yhwach felt a surge of desperation creeping in, a voice broke through the darkness. It was Ginjo's voice, calm and composed amidst the chaos.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach mind) Yhwach, you should come to the inner world.

Yhwach paused, considering Ginjo's suggestion. He knew that entering Ginjo's inner world might offer him a chance to regroup and strategize. With a determined nod, Yhwach made his decision.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Very well.

Closing his eyes, Yhwach focused on his inner world, concentrating on his connection with Ginjo. In an instant, he found himself transported to Ginjo's section of his inner world, the tropical island.

As he reappeared in the serene surroundings of the tropical island.

Yhwach glanced around the tranquil surroundings before turning his attention to Ginjo, who was still in his bar, cleaning glasses with practiced ease. Yhwach approached him, his expression serious as he addressed the former Substitute Shinigami.

Yhwach: Ginjo, any suggestions on how to proceed from here?

Ginjo glanced up from the glasses he was cleaning, his expression thoughtful as he considered Yhwach's question.

Ginjo: Well, Yhwach, I can't lend you my Fullbring abilities at the moment, but there might be another option.

He gestured towards one of the cocoons that Zaegar had set up earlier.

( Flashback)

Zaegar: Hey, Yhwach! Guess what? I did something cool!

Yhwach raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Zaegar's sudden declaration. He gestured for the hollow to continue, his curiosity piqued.

Yhwach: What did you do, Zaegar?

Zaegar beamed proudly, his tail wagging excitedly as he pointed toward a cluster of shimmering cocoons nestled amidst the lush foliage of Ginjo's island.

Zaegar: I moved some of the Sternritter's cocoons here! Look!

Yhwach's eyes widened in surprise as he followed Zaegar's gaze, taking in the sight of the cocoons swaying gently in the breeze. He couldn't help but feel a sense of unease at the unexpected development, his mind racing with questions.

Yhwach: You moved the Sternritter's cocoons here?

Zaegar nodded enthusiastically, oblivious to Yhwach's growing concern.

Zaegar: Yep! I thought it would be fun to have them here on the island. Plus, I figured it might help them relax a bit, you know?

( End of Flashback)

Walking up to the cocoons, Yhwach examined each one closely. He saw the letters emblazoned on each of them, symbols of the abilities they contained.

As he scanned through the cocoons, his eyes finally settled on one in particular. The letter "X" adorned its surface, a familiar symbol that sparked recognition within Yhwach.

Yhwach: Lille Barro's Schrift...

As Yhwach reached out to touch the cocoon bearing Lille Barro's Schrift, he suddenly felt a powerful force seizing him from behind. Startled, he whirled around to find a shadowy tail wrapped around him, its grip unyielding as it hurled him towards the cocoon with incredible force.

As Yhwach soared through the air, his mind raced with a mixture of frustration and realization. He understood now that Zaegar had set up a trap, perhaps as a precaution in case Zaegar wasn't present to oversee the cocoons. It was a cunning move, one that Yhwach begrudgingly admired even as he braced himself for what was to come.

Yhwach: (In thought) So, this was Zaegar's plan all along. A trap laid in wait, should I ever find myself in need of his "assistance".

Scene Break - Lille Barro's Trial

Yhwach's heart clenched as he found himself standing in the village where he was born, a place he hadn't visited in countless years. Memories flooded back to him, both bitter and sweet, as he walked through the empty streets.

The village, once bustling with life, now lay deserted and silent. Not a soul could be seen, and Yhwach couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled over him like a heavy shroud.

As he wandered through the village, lost in thought, a voice broke through the stillness, drawing his attention. It was Lille Barro's voice, calling out to him from a distance.

Yhwach followed the sound of the voice until he reached the edge of a tranquil lake, where he found a younger Lille Barro seated on a rock, gazing out at the water with a contemplative expression.

Approaching cautiously, Yhwach took a seat beside Lille Barro, his eyes meeting the younger man's gaze.

Lille Barro: Do you remember, Your Majesty? Do you remember when you saved us from slavery, from the tyranny of that noble?

Yhwach nodded solemnly, his gaze fixed on the surface of the lake. The memories of their past battles were etched deeply into his mind, reminders of the hardships they had endured together.

Yhwach: Yes, I remember.

Lille Barro picked up a pebble from the ground, his fingers tracing its smooth surface before he tossed it lightly onto the surface of the lake. The pebble skipped across the water, creating ripples that spread outwards before it eventually sank beneath the surface.

Yhwach watched the pebble disappear into the depths of the lake, his mind swirling with thoughts and emotions.

Lille Barro turned to Yhwach, his expression serious as he asked the next question.

Lille Barro: Tell me, Your Majesty. What do you seek to achieve with my schrift?

Yhwach's gaze shifted from the ripples on the lake to Lille Barro's eyes.

Yhwach: What I seek to achieve with your Schrift, Lille Barro, is the power to break free from the shackles that are currently binding me. I am trapped in this cage I cannot escape, Ginjo suggested that acquiring another Schrift might offer me a way out, a chance to turn the tables on that creature and reclaim my freedom.

Lille Barro listened intently to Yhwach's words, his brow furrowing in concern as he processed the gravity of the situation.

Lille Barro: I see. So, you seek to acquire my Schrift in order to break free from this cage am I right?

Yhwach nodded in confirmation to Lille Barro's question, acknowledging that breaking free from the cage was indeed his primary goal.

Yhwach: Yes, you're correct.

As Yhwach turned to face Lille Barro, he was taken aback by a sudden transformation. The younger version of Lille Barro had now shifted into his adult self, standing tall and imposing before Yhwach.

Yhwach's brows furrowed in confusion as he regarded the transformed Lille Barro with surprise.

Yhwach: Is this it then? Is this the trial you've set for me?

Lille Barro's expression remained impassive as he met Yhwach's gaze with a steady intensity.

Lille Barro: You are already being judged, Your Majesty. Why should I judge you further?

Yhwach furrowed his brow, pondering Lille Barro's words. It was true; he was already facing a trial of his own making, one that tested his strength, resolve, and determination.

Yhwach: You have a point, Lille Barro. Perhaps I have been too focused on seeking external power to overcome my obstacles when the true test lies within myself.

Lille Barro nodded in agreement, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

Lille Barro: Indeed, Your Majesty. The power you seek may already reside within you. Sometimes, the greatest challenges we face are not those imposed upon us by others, but the ones we must overcome from within.

Yhwach absorbed Lille Barro's words, a newfound sense of clarity and purpose dawning within him.

Yhwach: Thank you, Lille Barro. You have given me much to consider.

As Yhwach expressed his gratitude to Lille Barro, a sudden surge of blue energy materialized in front of the Sternritter, coalescing into the distinctive shape of the Letter X, symbolizing Lille Barro's Schrift, "X - The X-Axis."

Scene Break

After acquiring Lille Barro's Schrift, Yhwach emerged from the depths of his inner world, returning to the tranquil surroundings of Ginjo's tropical island. With determination etched into his features, he sought out Ginjo, who was still in his bar, attending to various tasks.

Ginjo looked up from the glasses he was cleaning.

Yhwach: Ginjo, I have obtained the Schrift as you suggested.

Ginjo's eyes widened in acknowledgment and approval as he heard Yhwach's words, a faint smile gracing his lips.

Ginjo: Congratulations, Yhwach. That's a significant step forward.

He gestured towards a nearby table, where a bottle of sake and two glasses awaited their attention.

Ginjo: How about a drink to celebrate your success?

Yhwach shook his head, declining Ginjo's offer with a determined expression.

Yhwach: Not now, Ginjo. I appreciate the gesture, but I have a more pressing matter at hand. I need to break free from that cage and confront the one who imprisoned me.

Scene Break - Yama's Domain

Yhwach opened his eyes for a moment as he still found himself restrained, Yhwach then Activated the Schrift "X - The X-Axis."

In that moment, Yhwach felt a profound transformation take place within him. he felt a sensation of weightlessness as his body seemed to phase through the darkened cage that had entrapped him.

The black flames surrounding the cage passed harmlessly through Yhwach, unable to inflict even the slightest injury upon him. He was untouchable, invulnerable to any weapon or attack while in this state.

Yama was furious, turning immediately to face the Quincy king. Yhwach readied his fighting stance. In turn, Yama raised his right hand to summon blackened flames to create a Warhammer for itself, inverting the white-and-black realm for a moment.

Yhwach and Yama aggressively charged directly at each other, clashing their weapons against each other. Yama was the first to go on the offensive, attempting to swipe towards Yhwach's head. The Quincy king easily fazed through it.

Yhwach then immediately countered, attempting to strike at the spirit horizontally. Yama managed to block this attack. The Quincy king jumped over the cursed spirit, attempting to slash its back in the process; however, it was blocked yet again. The duo attempted multiple times to land a decisive hit on one another, though they kept parrying and countering each other.

They clashed with their weapons once more. Yhwach managed to catch it off guard, kicking it slightly back before slashing its chest. Yama roared in frustration, changing its weapon into a gigantic burning sword, consumed by black fire.

It attempted to use overwhelming strength on Yhwach. This didn't work, as when the spirit sliced downwards, Yhwach managed to block and counter once more, stabbing it into the chest. Yama roared once more in frustration. It began to shapeshift into something entirely different.

Yhwach finally realized something interesting about this domain expansion. He looked around, observing everything, before thinking to himself.

Yhwach: (In thought) Time behaves differently within this domain. Although only a few hours have passed outside, it feels like years within this domain.

In the meantime, the Judge of the Souls Yama was in the process of shapeshifting something to its design, grinning at Yhwach.

Yama had finished shapeshifting into a gigantic spider, with his face morphing to fit the body of this spider. The cursed spirit sharpened its legs, kicking at Yhwach. Yhwach had sidestepped to avoid this, running backward to gain some distance between the two for a moment. Though Yama was still in pursuit.

Yama had used its blistering pace to catch up with Yhwach, trying to use its massive body to crush the man by attempting to jump him. Yhwach managed to avoid this, frustrating the cursed spirit.

Yama sharpened each one of its legs, almost as if they were gigantic blades. It tried stabbing the Quincy king with this attack three times, only for Yhwach to counter-slash it each time. Yama sent a barrage of attacks at him in quick succession, trying to stab the mine nine times within the span of half a second. Yhwach effortlessly blocked these attacks again.

Yhwach swiftly sliced away at every single leg of Yama's as the Special-Grade spirit healed as fast as it could. Yhwach managed to land sixteen hits on its legs before finally jumping backward.

The Judge of the Souls changed the atmosphere of the Domain Expansion once again. It was purely an abandoned tower, with multiple bridges and beams everywhere. Yama was getting further annoyed at the sight of Yhwach. Everything it had thrown at this man, he was effortlessly dodging and countering.

Finally, the cursed spirit transformed itself into multiple black puddles seeping across the ground. Each puddle slowly transformed itself into multiple versions of the original Yama form, but instead, it resembled more of a human.

One by one, these Yama's had finished their transformation, surrounding Yhwach. The Quincy king kept his guard, using his eyes to quickly look around at the multiple Yama's surrounding him from all angles.

Some were on top of some of the bridges, and some were on the ground with Yhwach. Each one of the Yama's was grinning and staring at Yhwach. They all began laughing together in unison; the laughter echoed around the entire tower before it came to an abrupt end.

Yhwach prepared to fight Yama. Only... something odd happened...

He had disappeared into thin air. But something was wrong...Yhwach wasn't in the Shibuya Station...

He suddenly found himself in an ancient Japanese Garden...

Scene Break

Nanako and Mimiko were next to an unconscious Yuji; they were a bit apprehensive as Nanako was opening the boy's jaw, force-feeding him Sukuna's fingers.

Mimiko: Let's hurry, Nanako. The finger might attract cursed spirits.

Mimiko says, laced with urgency as she knew the pair could be attacked by spirits any second.

Nanako: I know. Please, come out. Master Sukuna.

Nanako responded while she opened Yuji's jaw and forcibly forced down fingers into his throat.

Jogo, in the meantime, immediately started running towards the presence, noticing two teenage girls kneeling beside Yuji. He looked to see their shocked faces and the markings of Sukuna himself. The curse scoffed for a moment before immediately asking.

Jogo: You! How many fingers did you feed him?!

Mimiko: We...We're not gonna tell you!

Mimiko nervously answered.

Nanako: Mimiko!

Nanako shouted out, grabbing Mimiko as she prepared to use her technique.

Jogo, who was annoyed by this, simply responded.

Jogo: Fine. Then die.

The two teenagers escaped while Jogo walked up to Yuji, noticing the marks of Sukuna were still there. He was slightly relieved to see this

Jogo then thought about the time Kenjaku talked about Yuji and his ability to be Sukuna's vessel. The words Kenjaku ran through his mind.

(Flashback)

Kenjaku: Even if Itadori Yuji were to consume all twenty fingers, He probably still wouldn't lose control of his body to Sukuna. That's if he consumes a finger a day for twenty days.

Kenjaku started.

Kenjaku: If he were to consume ten fingers at once, he probably wouldn't be able to counteract it, and although temporary, he would lose control of his body to Sukuna.

Kenjaku ended.

(End of Flashback)

Jogo approached the unconscious Yuji, unraveling the scroll that held ten of Sukuna's fingers before he began to speak once more.

Jogo: Time to wake up...Sukuna!

Scene Break

Yhwach immediately noticed something was wrong; He should've been brought back to Shibuya Station. Yhwach looked around, observing his surroundings. It was a traditional Japanese garden within an ancient Japanese manor.

The place was pitch black, and the only sound that could be heard was the bamboo water spouts allowing the water to pass through them, only to slap against the stone when too much water was inside. The Cherry Blossom trees were blooming as the petals gently breezed by Yhwach's mesmerizing long hair.

Yhwach carefully walked around the area, refusing to drop his guard. He still had his reishi sword raised, trying to locate any energy signatures. Suddenly, Yhwach felt a gentle presence behind him. It was a very old monk, roughly four feet and six inches tall. The monk held both of his hands together behind his back. Yhwach for some reason got Ichibei vibes from this monk.

The man looked at Yhwach for a moment, observing him before softly asking the old man.

Monk: Are you lost?

Yhwach: Yes.

Monk Good make yourself useful, come make tea.

Yhwach narrowed his eyes slightly, studying the monk before him. Despite his apparent calm demeanor, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this monk than met the eye. Nevertheless, he decided to comply with the monk's request, if only to gather more information about his current situation.

Yhwach: Very well.

Yhwach walked back inside the building alongside the monk. The Quincy king kneeled on both of his knees on the ground as he prepared to make tea for this elderly man. Yhwach had witnessed this process done for him many times during his time with Night Raid, so much so that he managed to learn the entire process by heart.

After finally completing the majority of the ceremony, he humbly offered the tea to the monk, placing the teacup directly in front of the man. Somewhat intrigued by the purpose of this.

The monk analyzed it for a moment before he grabbed the cup with both hands. He raised the cup to his mouth, quietly sipping on it.

Monk: This is fucking terrible.

As the monk declared the tea to be terrible, Yhwach's expression remained stoic, though inwardly he was surprised by the blunt assessment. Meanwhile, within Yhwach's mind, Ginjo's laughter echoed, breaking the solemn atmosphere.

Ginjo: (Laughing from within Yhwach's mind) Looks like your tea-making skills could use some work, Yhwach. Maybe stick to conquering worlds instead of brewing tea.

Yhwach couldn't help but roll his eyes at Ginjo's jest, though he couldn't deny the amusement it brought in the midst of their current predicament.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Very funny, Ginjo. But I doubt tea-making is our primary concern right now.

Ginjo's laughter subsided, and his tone grew serious as he responded to Yhwach's remark.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) You're right, Yhwach. We need to focus on finding a way out of this situation. Keep your guard up and be prepared for anything.

Yhwach nodded inwardly, grateful for Ginjo's reminder. He returned his attention to the monk, who had finished his tea and set the cup down with a satisfied nod.

Monk: This tea has all the necessary ingredients, but it lacks the most important one. 'The Balance'.

The monk explained.

Monk: I can see why your path to the sword remains clouded. You have cut apart thousands of spirits, resembling those of your loved ones; you've killed numerous people in your time. Don't you think something is wrong here? Like you've taken the wrong path or something?

The monk said, asking a rhetorical question.

Monk: I have a question for you, Yhwach. What is human life?

The monk asked.

Yhwach regarded the monk with a thoughtful expression, his mind grappling with the weight of the monk's words. The question posed by the monk struck a chord within him, stirring a tumultuous mix of emotions and memories.

Yhwach: (After a pause) Human life... It is fragile yet resilient. It is fleeting yet profound. It is a journey filled with joy and sorrow, love and loss. But above all, it is a precious gift, bestowed upon us by the universe itself.

Yhwach's voice held a hint of solemnity as he spoke, his words carrying the weight of his own experiences and observations.

Yhwach: (Continuing) Throughout my long existence, I have witnessed the beauty and the brutality of human life. I have seen the depths of despair and the heights of triumph. Through it all, I have come to understand that human life is sacred, and deserving of reverence and respect.

The monk nodded thoughtfully, his eyes reflecting a profound understanding of Yhwach's words.

Monk: Indeed, Yhwach. Human life is a precious and fragile thing also forgive me if it seems like I am judging you, I didn't mean to offend.

The monk apologized.

Monk: Truthfully. There's a lot I don't understand, either. Especially when I look at people who kill with their weapons and techniques.

The monk revealed.

Yhwach remained quiet; his features softened a little upon hearing this from the elderly man. The monk continued speaking.

Monk: What are humans here for? Why are we born? How should we live? Whether or not there is salvation. There was a time when I didn't understand any of it in the midst of confusing darkness.

The elderly gentleman said.

Monk: Based on the fact that you managed to live through all of those battles, especially when you were trapped for the entirety of those ninety years. This was the conversation I wanted with you.

The monk revealed much to Yhwach's shock.

Yhwach could tell that the Domain Expansion Diluted the time somewhat, he figured that each hour in the real world was the equivalent of one decade in the domain. He had, in fact, realized he had the completely wrong idea about the time dilation he had to go through.

Scene Break

Sukuna has two types of slashing attacks...

The default slash is Dismantle. And the other, cleave, which can be adjusted on depending on the target's toughness and cursed energy level to cut them down in one fell swoop.

Malevolent Shrine differs from other types of Domain Expansion in that it doesn't create a separate space using a barrier. The ability to realize one's innate Domain without using a barrier is akin to an artist painting a masterpiece not on a canvas, but on air. A truly Divine technique.

Sukuna decided to change Malovelent Shrine a little bit, creating a Binding Vow that allows an escape route out of its effective range. As a result, the pact also increased along with the maximum radius of Sukuna.

Nearby, the random civilians trapped within Shibuya were talking with one another.

The entirety of the area within one hundred and forty meters was sliced apart; nothing was spared. Building furniture and human beings alike. Only the echoes of the screams of those people sliced apart remained for a moment...

Before that, too, it was stripped away.

Mahogora, on the other hand, was sliced apart but managed to survive this entire ordeal. Sukuna, with his hands in Yuij's pockets, begins to think.

Sukuna: (In thought) The only way to defeat Mahogora is to slaughter it with a new attack before it can adapt. Cleave fits the criteria; however, if it hasn't adapted Dismantle but to slashing attacks in general, then...

To finish the fight, Sukuna decided to unleash the technique that he used earlier against Jogo.

Sukuna: Open

All that remained of Mahogora was the eight-handed wheel that Sukuna was carrying as he approached Megumi and the blonde-ponytail man, who was standing in awe at what he just witnessed. Sukuna, who was annoyed by this man staring at him, was about to start speaking when suddenly the pair noticed a huge tremor that shook the entirety of the city...

Scene Break

The Quincy king, who had been trapped for ninety years within the Judge of the Souls domain, had finally emerged. The blackened domain that had consumed him gracefully ebbed away as the man stood.

Yhwach looked around his surroundings for a moment, observing for any potential threats, only noticing that all of the cursed spirits had long since gone, along with Kenjaku.

Yhwach looked towards the ceiling, sending a gigantic burner finger 1, which burst through as the entire area within three hundred meters was violently shaking.

Anyone within the area stopped to notice a gigantic burner finger 1 shooting towards the sky, lighting up the night sky for a moment.

Yhwach emerged from the hole he had created, levitating, and he acrobatically landed on a nearby rooftop, looking across the decimated city.

Scene Break

Sukuna noticed a gigantic burner finger 1 emerge into the sky. He could sense immense pressure, and it was heading his way. The hair on Sukuna's arm stood up, and excitement coursed through him.

The king of curses wondered to himself.

Sukuna: (In thought) Could it really be...?

Sukuna turned to the blonde-haired man as he casually ordered him.

Sukuna: Be gone. bitch boy.

The cursed user smiled in relief as he began to run away, announcing.

Man child: I...I'll be on my way!

Yhwach announced his arrival by immediately destroying Sukuna's shrine. The Quincy King landed directly in front of the cursed user.

The blonde ponytailed man had a look of terror on his face as he came to the realization that his luck might've run out. Sukuna, on the other hand, still had his back turned, only slightly facing the man.

Yhwach, not even wasting any time, used his hand to burst through the blond ponytailed man's torso. Much to the man-child's horror, Yhwach used the schrift H the heat to literally melt the man's skin, leaving nothing but bones.

Yhwach casually dusted himself off while he slowly approached the skull of the man he just killed. Crushing the skull into multiple pieces.

Sukuna: My...what an honor.

Sukuna said, his tone of voice laced with sarcasm. The pink-haired man turned to face Yhwach as he grinned further. His bloodlust was radiating.
