Naruto:Ten Skill Bar

Chapter 22: Chapter:22

Gekkō Ishisaki made his way to the secluded forest where Gekkō Hayate had taken him previously. By now, night had fully descended, and the silence of the woods was both eerie and tranquil. This isolation was ideal for his next attempt at fusing Chakra.

"Let's get started," Ishisaki muttered to himself, determination flashing in his eyes. He was set on developing the Boil Style, the combination of fire and water Chakra.

But as the night dragged on, Ishisaki learned the hard way why the Bloodline Limit was such a coveted achievement in the ninja world.

Boom!

Boom!

BOOM!

Every ten minutes or so, a loud explosion echoed through the forest.

Ishisaki carefully controlled tiny amounts of water and fire Chakra, combining them cautiously. However, the result was always the same—explosive failure.

Though he deliberately minimized the amount of Chakra to avoid serious injury, the repeated blasts tore small gashes on his hands and shredded his clothes. By now, his outfit was in tatters, and his arms bore numerous small cuts from the erratic bursts of energy.

Frustrated, Ishisaki threw himself onto the ground in the shape of a star, staring up at the full moon shining through the trees.

"This... this is impossible!" he groaned. "Why can't the two strands of Chakra fuse? Is there no way to make this work?"

He had started his attempts at dusk and had been at it for hours. Yet despite his persistence, progress was nonexistent.

"Developing a Bloodline Limit overnight? That's just a fool's dream," Ishisaki admitted, frustrated at his earlier overconfidence.

He now fully understood why Bloodline Limits were so revered. For most ninjas, they were abilities granted by ancestry or freak mutations—not something anyone could just invent on their own.

Of course, there were exceptions. Some ninja villages, like Sunagakure, had developed abilities like Magnet Style by studying Shukaku's unique Chakra.

"Do I need to hunt down the Five-Tails and learn from it to develop Boil Style?" Ishisaki wondered aloud, chuckling bitterly. "Yeah, because that's so realistic."

But he couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something obvious.

Just then, the system chimed in:

[Unknown ※: Reminder: The host may not have sufficient water and fire Chakra power for fusion.]

"Not enough power?" Ishisaki sat up, frowning. "But I've already mastered both Nature Transformations. Isn't that enough?"

The system elaborated:

[Unknown ※: For example, if your water attribute Chakra is at 80% strength and your fire attribute Chakra is at 20%, the power imbalance prevents successful fusion. The host must achieve proportional balance in Chakra strength for fusion to occur. Mastering Nature Transformation only optimizes attribute use but doesn't fix their inherent power levels.]

Ishisaki's eyes widened as understanding dawned.

"So even though I've mastered both attributes, their raw power isn't balanced. That's why the fusion keeps failing!"

Ishisaki sighed, running a hand through his disheveled hair.

"If the problem is my Chakra strength, then I need to enhance the power of both attributes."

The system interjected again:

[Unknown ※: Host can directly place Water Style and Fire Style skills into the passive skill bar for enhancement.]

"Wait, seriously? Even elemental Nature Transformations count as skills?" Ishisaki opened his skill bar to confirm.

Sure enough, Water Style and Fire Style were listed among his available skills.

"Unbelievable," Ishisaki muttered, shaking his head in amazement. "This skill bar can enhance literally anything."

But then another thought struck him.

"If Water Style and Fire Style can be enhanced, does that mean I can equip two of the same skill and make it free to use?"

Eager to confirm, Ishisaki adjusted his skill bar.

[Passive Skill 1, 2: Water Style]

After activating the setup, Ishisaki performed his Water Style: Water Chaos Wave technique.

BOOM!

A torrent of water erupted from his hands, rushing forward with incredible force. The wave swept through the forest, crashing into trees with enough power to splinter trunks.

Ishisaki stood in the middle of the flood, his clothes soaked, but his Chakra reserves completely untouched.

"No consumption... It really works!" Ishisaki whispered in disbelief.
