Chapter 212: Chapter 212: Pakura’s Unsealing
Pakura quickly washed the dishes.
The Orochimaru household didn't have servants, and she believed this lack of formality made their home feel more genuine and homelike.
After putting the dishes away, she dried her hands and turned to see Orochimaru still sitting in the same spot. His long black hair and golden, vertical pupils gave him a vacant, distant look, as though he were lost in thought.
The purple eye shadow extending to the wings of his nose only emphasized his pale complexion, giving him a more otherworldly appearance. The green and blue tomoe-shaped earrings on his earlobes hung motionless, and Pakura found herself staring, gradually becoming dazed.
"Are you done?" Orochimaru's voice broke her trance.
"Er, it's finished." Pakura's face flushed with embarrassment, as though she'd been caught doing something wrong.
"Then I'll help you remove the seal," Orochimaru said calmly. Though he couldn't fully imagine losing his own powers, he felt a sense of admiration for Pakura's composed demeanor.
"No rush, I'm going to take a shower," Pakura said suddenly, turning and hurrying out of the room.
"You'll just wash again after it's removed," Orochimaru pointed out, but Pakura didn't respond or turn back.
"She really is clean-loving," he muttered, shaking his head as he made his way toward the bedroom.
Pakura retrieved clean clothes from her room before heading to the bathroom. Once inside, she closed the door and slowly undressed, revealing her curvaceous figure. Lowering her head, she ran her right hand along the center of her lower cleavage, where an ugly black seal pattern marred her skin—the source of the Chakra suppression.
A faint blush spread across her face, and her body began to heat up. Shaking her head to dispel these thoughts, she turned on the shower and let cold water cascade over her body.
Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself and began washing carefully, her mind focused on the task. Since moving to Konoha, she had noticed her skin becoming fairer and softer, far better than when she endured the harsh winds and sandstorms of the Land of the Wind.
After rinsing off the suds, she turned off the shower and dried herself. The dampness in her hair would vanish instantly once the seal was removed.
Putting on clean clothes, she stepped out of the bathroom and walked to Orochimaru's bedroom. Pausing at the door, she hesitated for a moment, gathering her resolve before knocking lightly.
Knock, knock~
"Come in, the door is unlocked," Orochimaru's voice called from inside. Pakura pushed the door open and stepped into the room.
Orochimaru was seated, deeply focused on the notes she had written about Scorch Release. Despite his intellect, he still had no real understanding of it. Reading the scroll had become a routine for him, and by now, he could recite its contents from memory.
Pakura closed the door behind her and slowly walked to the seat across from Orochimaru before sitting down.
"You don't have that kind of luck, so don't bother reading it," she remarked, noticing that Orochimaru hadn't even glanced at her. Her tone was tinged with dissatisfaction.
"I suspect you're the one hiding it," Orochimaru replied, finally putting down the scroll and looking at her. A faint smirk formed on his lips.
"How dare I, my Lord Orochimaru," Pakura shot back, rolling her eyes. I almost wrote down my date of birth—what more do you want? she thought to herself.
"That's good. I didn't think you had the guts to hide anything." Orochimaru's voice carried a subtle edge. "Let's get started."
He stood and walked toward her, still unaware of Pakura's hesitation.
"Well, maybe we shouldn't do this," Pakura said softly, her uncertainty creeping in. It wasn't fear of danger that held her back—it was the shyness of exposing the seal pattern to Orochimaru.
"What do you mean, maybe? I even informed Tsunade myself," Orochimaru countered. "Besides, your Chakra will help me study the boundaries of Kekkei Genkai."
Without giving her a chance to protest further, Orochimaru placed a firm hand on her shoulder.
Without her Chakra, Pakura lacked the strength to resist. She found herself pinned in the chair, unable to escape his grasp.
"You're hurting me. Can I promise to release it?" Pakura struggled, but her efforts were futile, and she reluctantly agreed.
"That's more like it. Which position is it? Let me see." Orochimaru removed his hand and asked casually.
"It's... it's here," Pakura stammered, pointing to the location of the seal. She lowered her head, unable to meet Orochimaru's gaze.
"What the hell is Sakumo Hatake doing?" Orochimaru muttered, sounding a little exasperated.
It wasn't really Sakumo's fault. As long as the seal was effective, its placement shouldn't matter. Still, Orochimaru found the situation unusual—Pakura was probably the first captive or Missing-nin to have her seal removed.
"What did you say?" Pakura asked, glancing up at him briefly before hastily lowering her head again.
"It's nothing... just this position..." Orochimaru trailed off, unsure how to phrase his thoughts.
"That's it, then. I'll be fine," Pakura said, trying to get up and escape again.
"It's just a seal. We're both mature Ninjas," Orochimaru said, though his words seemed more for himself than for her. He reached out again and firmly pushed her back into her seat.
The two locked eyes for a moment—one tall, the other shorter—neither breaking the silence.
"Take off your clothes. I'll be quick," Orochimaru finally said, his voice steady.
A short pain is better than a prolonged ordeal, he thought. The sooner they finished, the sooner the matter could be put to rest. His expression returned to its usual composed state, one that exuded an air of indifference to external matters.
"Then, turn around," Pakura realized he had made up his mind, and as a weaker individual in this situation, she had no choice but to comply.
"Okay," Orochimaru turned around as instructed but quickly questioned the logic—he would still have to look to remove the seal, so what was the point of turning away?
As he stood there, listening to the faint rustling behind him, Tsunade's words suddenly flashed through his mind, followed by a mental image of a large pot crashing down on Kawakaze's head.
"I'm done," Pakura's timid voice came from behind him.
"Then I'll turn around," Orochimaru said, hearing a soft "hmm" of acknowledgment from Pakura before he slowly turned back.
What met his gaze was her pale skin, high breasts, and shoulders that trembled slightly from nervousness. Orochimaru's golden pupils dilated involuntarily, and his heartbeat quickened. He had seen bodies on the battlefield before, but those sights were nothing compared to the scene before him now.
"How long are you going to keep looking?" Pakura finally asked, summoning enough courage to break the silence when she noticed Orochimaru hadn't reacted for a long time.
"Uh, I'm coming," Orochimaru said hastily, closing his eyes briefly to regain focus. He exhaled deeply, opened his eyes, and stepped forward.
"Are you ready? This might hurt a little," he warned, his gaze focused on the seal pattern. He had already deciphered the unlocking code in his mind. Every seal had its unique design, requiring a different approach to release it.
"Well, go ahead," Pakura answered, tilting her head slightly and puffing out her chest to make the entire seal pattern more visible. Her blush, now spreading to her neck, stood out sharply against her fair skin.
"Unseal," Orochimaru murmured, forming several hand signs. He curved his fingers slightly and pressed them firmly against the center of the seal.
"Ahhh..." Pakura let out a scream as Orochimaru's Chakra surged into the seal.
The dark seal pattern on her body quickly began to fade, the change visible to the naked eye.
