Chapter 79: Chapter 79: Pillow Bet
Inside the inn.
Kiyoshi took the two scrolls handed over by his wood clone, and a slight smile appeared on his face.
He unfurled the storage scroll containing countless secret techniques, forbidden jutsu, and sealing jutsu.
Its contents were dazzling.
The Yamanaka clan's secret techniques, the Nara clan's techniques, the Akimichi clan's techniques.
The Eight Gates, Spirit Transformation Technique, Flying Thunder God Technique, Edo Tensei.
Sealing Jutsu: Triangle Seal, Five Element Seal, Evil Sealing Method, Four Symbols Seal, Reverse Four Symbols Seal, Root Cursed Seal, Self-Curse Seal.
"But Danzo's collection of sealing techniques is ultimately limited."
Putting away the other secret techniques and forbidden jutsu, Kiyoshi kept only the sealing techniques.
Kiyoshi pondered, one by one, "True Uzumaki clan members still have a more complete mastery of sealing techniques."
"Kiyoshi, it's me."
A knock on the door.
Outside, Tsunade's voice could be heard.
"Tsunade-nee, you're here."
Kiyoshi walked over and opened the door.
Seeing her beautiful figure standing there, he smiled.
"You pervert, you're back and just hiding in your room alone. I thought you'd be eagerly studying that cultist from the Jashin faith with his so-called immortality."
Tsunade walked in.
She glanced around the room, taking in the myriad of sealing techniques.
Her eyelid twitched involuntarily. "Did you get all these from Danzo?"
These valuable sealing techniques were priceless.
If word got out, shinobi nations everywhere would be on edge.
They'd stop at nothing to try and seize them.
"Mm…"
Kiyoshi nodded.
Stretching leisurely, he smiled and said, "That Jashin guy can wait, he won't be going anywhere. Right now, I'm more interested in mastering these sealing techniques."
"I remember you once mentioned that your Wood Release is unique, requiring only a drop of blood from a ninja with a Kekkei Genkai to absorb their abilities…"
Tsunade fixed her gaze on Kiyoshi and said, "I don't think you'd let go of that guy's immortality."
She understood her disciple well.
Seeing Hidan's eerie immortality, there was no way he'd just ignore it.
"Yeah, I tried to absorb some of his blood earlier to see if I could acquire that kind of immortality."
Kiyoshi didn't hide anything.
Shrugging, he said, "But unfortunately, it didn't work."
There wasn't a hint of disappointment.
He had already speculated that Hidan's immortality might not only involve his body, but also his soul.
He could be injured, bleed, and feel pain.
Whether his vital points were pierced or he was dismembered entirely, no matter how much blood he lost or how much pain he endured, he wouldn't die.
After all, in the original anime, Shikamaru had managed to blow him up, and even then, he didn't truly die.
It was likely that some forbidden jutsu from the Jashin religion had bound his soul entirely to his body.
As for the source of that immortality and whether it was genuinely related to his god "Jashin," that was a mystery Kiyoshi couldn't solve just yet.
"You even managed to integrate the Uchiha clan's Kekkei Genkai perfectly…" Tsunade raised an eyebrow. "That immortality likely isn't a Kekkei Genkai ability, then."
"I thought the same thing…" Kiyoshi nodded.
He raised his right hand.
Pieces of wood carvings began sprouting, forming one wooden clone after another at a visible speed.
Kiyoshi pointed at the sealing techniques. "I'll leave those to you guys."
"Alright, got it."
In the silent gaze of Tsunade, he assigned the task of learning those sealing techniques to his wood clones.
Then, Kiyoshi took out another scroll and gestured toward Tsunade. "Tsunade-nee, this one should be familiar to you, right?"
"Hmm?"
Tsunade took the scroll, surprised.
She opened it, and her eyes shrank. "Flying Thunder God Jutsu? I didn't expect that Danzo would even hand this over to you."
She knew this jutsu all too well.
It was the space-time ninjutsu created by her granduncle, Tobirama Senju.
With it, he defeated Uchiha Izuna, Madara's brother and his greatest rival, and was even lauded as the fastest in the shinobi world.
Later, the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, further improved the Flying Thunder God Jutsu.
During the Third Shinobi World War, it was this very jutsu that led him to become the fastest shinobi of his generation, earning the title "Yellow Flash" and fame throughout the shinobi world.
She, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and even the Third Hokage himself, had all tried to learn the Flying Thunder God Jutsu.
But this S-rank forbidden jutsu required a unique talent.
So far, only the Second and Fourth Hokage had successfully mastered it.
"If it's you, you might just be able to learn the Flying Thunder God Jutsu." Tsunade said, smiling at Kiyoshi.
She had complete faith in her student's talent.
"Well, how long do you think it'll take me to master the first stage of the Flying Thunder God?" Kiyoshi asked with a grin.
He believed he had a knack for space-time jutsus.
After all, his Mangekyo Sharingan's power, the Onamuchi, was itself a space-time jutsu in some sense.
"Even though you pick up normal jutsu quickly."
Tsunade thought for a moment before speaking.
"The Flying Thunder God is an S-rank space-time jutsu, and it's much more complex than a summoning jutsu…
Even a genius like Minato took a whole month to barely master the first stage of it. I'd say you'd need at least a day or two."
"A day or two?"
Kiyoshi's eyes gleamed with a smile. "How about a bet?"
"What do you want to bet?" Tsunade rolled her eyes, a playful smile on her face.
"There's still plenty of time…"
Kiyoshi's mouth curled in a confident smile. "If I can master the first stage of the Flying Thunder God in three hours, you'll let me use you as a pillow tonight, Tsunade-nee."
"Of course, if I can't, I'll give you five million ryo to enjoy yourself at the gambling house."
Originally, he was going to say two hours.
But just to be safe, he set it at three hours.
"Three hours?"
Tsunade's eyes twitched.
Looking at Kiyoshi's confident expression, she was somewhat tempted.
Five million ryo would be more than enough for her to indulge for a while.
It was certainly enticing.
"You're too cocky…" Although she had great confidence in his talent and didn't doubt his ability to master the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, she couldn't believe he could do it so quickly.
After all, Minato's talent was known to all.
Even Orochimaru couldn't match it.
Even if Kiyoshi was more talented, the gap between them couldn't be that large.
"Alright, let's bet."
With this in mind, Tsunade agreed decisively.
After all, she had already let this kid have his way a few times.
And he was just a ten year old brat, so there was no burden.
She was sure she'd win this one.
