The arena had gone silent once again. Looking towards his crimson kimono and his stoic face, I spoke, "It was a duel, Lord Mokama; the victor has all the rights to kill the victim.".

The man did not speak another word for a minute. The next moment, he raised his body; his muscular frame stood up to all his glory. Picking up his mighty blade, he pointed it towards me.

"That may be so; however, defeating could have made the point." He looked at me, judging, his booming footsteps making their way down the arena.

I held my blade in front of me in case of any sneak attacks. I spoke, "Had I lost, would you have left me alive, Lord Mokama?".

The man was now standing face to face with me, "And are you sure you want to stand with that reasoning, young Hatake?".

"It's a dog-eat-dog world, so yes, I would never choose to show mercy to someone who wouldn't show it to me."

He jabbed his sword in the ground and looked me in the eyes. "I like you, and by the way, Hizuna wasn't my disciple; he was just one of the people who I taught a bit about my style."

"Hahah aahah." He looked at me and held my shoulder. "You got guts; I hope you defeat my real disciple in the competition.".

"Your real disciple?" I asked Mokama.

"Yup, he is quite the strong samurai; you will know when you see him.".

I nodded at that and put my katana back in my sheath.

"So after this, want to go to some brothels?" he smirked.

"Uh, no sir, I don't go to brothels; I would rather meet up with my friend in the meantime.". I spoke politely, declining his offer.

"Huff, you are no fun." Shaking his head, he muttered, "What's with the new generation? Don't you all like women or not?".

He suddenly started speaking, "That friend, is it a girl? Kagami has a little girlfriend haha haha.".

'What? No, what girlfriend? I don't even have a girl who is my friend.'.

"It's not a girl, and he is just a comrade, sir," I spoke while trying to keep a straight face.

"Oof, so you are into that; don't worry, I don't judge," he spoke while completely judging me.

"What? No, no, he is a kid, and I am into girls."

"Ahaha hahah, kids these days, so fun to mess with.".

Walking back to the throne, he spoke to the lord, who by now had a grin on his face.

"He is good. Now you have a real chance after all, old man."

The lord smiled at that and nodded at me.

'That's my cue to leave.'

Most of the citizens were making their way out of the arena anyways.

Making my way to the exit, I saw hordes of people rushing in the streets, talking about my fight with Hizuna.

Somewhere in the crowd was a recognizable little face who was making his way towards me.

"Shisui, how are you?" I asked my friend, who had already jumped on me.

"You won, and did it in such a cool way," he spoke all excitedly.

Breaking away from me, he started geeking about all the technicalities of the fight.

"You know that time when you tried to jab at him? If you had kept going in the opposite direction of his sword, his stamina would have depleted faster.".

'Well, I could have, but some stuff doesn't go as planned in between fights.'.

"Yes, yes."

"and you know that...." With that, Shisui was chattering about the fight till we made our way to our room.

By now the young man had calmed down and was freshening up.

knock knock

Opening the door, I came across Mokama; the hulking man was smiling.

"So about the brothels, are you sure you don't want to come?"

He smirked while adding, "You can even bring your little friend.".

"He is ten," I spoke in a deadpan voice.

'This man was quite persistent.'.

"Well, oops, anyways, the lord has asked you and your friend to live at his house." He pushed me aside and made his way into the room.

Looking across it all, his eyes lay upon my sword lying on the bed, Shisui had already exited the washroom and was now standing beside me.

"Hello there, little man, what's your name?" He bowed down to come to Shisui's height.

"Shisui," he responded while being on guard.

'The man wouldn't hurt us, Shisui, and even if he did, there isn't much we can do.'.

"Nice name, little Uchiha," he spoke while inspecting the blade bestowed by my lord.

Shisui looked shocked at his statement. Being a Uchiha was a sensitive topic after all, and the fact that the man knew meant people could come for his eyes.

He ruffled Shisui's hair, "Don't worry, little guy, I ain't after your eyes.".

Of course that didn't calm Shisui.

Looking up to me, he spoke, "Well, about you, the Lord had shown great interest in you." He held my sword in his hand. "This sword is one of a kind in this town; in fact, it's so rare you wouldn't find one like this even if you tried.".

"One more thing that I have the lord to thank about," smirking towards him, I spoke, "Don't worry, I will pay him back by winning the competition.".

Throwing my blade at me, the man responded, "Quite snarky for a young one, aren't you?"

Winking towards me, he continued, "Now let's get back to the lord.".

Nodding towards him, "We will be there in some."

He nodded at that and disappeared in a body flicker.

'So he even knows body flicker...who is this man?'.

"That guy was strong, Kagami; stay at guard around him," Shisui spoke while looking worried at me.

"Don't worry, my friend; I will be fine.".

Lying back on the bed, I looked towards the white ceiling.

'Use points.'

Seeing the points flush out of my system.... I could feel the same feeling again, the rush of strength, the increase in mastery.

'Life is a grind,' I thought while smiling like a madman.
