Looking back at the huge tree in my backyard, I pondered over the most important issue now.

'My strength had reached chunnin levels.'. 

However, that doesn't mean that I have fixed my weaknesses.

I do have trust in my shun shin; however, I know that there will be situations where shun shin doesn't work.

that contingency being earth-style jutsu.

Maybe I should learn Lightning Release; I already have two Lightning Release jutsus.

And as the name suggests, they are pretty weak jutsus.

'My talent in Ninjutsu isn't good; I will have to wait on the system to better that.'

Looking at my sword, I thought of another plan: 'Let's focus on the last move of the fast kata.'. 

After all, that would more or less solve many of my problems.

The last move was a pretty popular technique, "chakra sword.".

A technique, widespread in the land of iron, almost every samurai that is strong uses that technique.

'With enough chakra density, one can even cut jutsus.'

"First, let's keep practicing what I know.". I put my sword back in the sheath.

My sword drew at wondrous velocity...

It moved through the air like a serpentine creature.

a sword slash that was made to slaughter. 

Doing all the moves together made me come to the fact that this style was amazing, and the fact that a young Sakumo created it makes it even more extraordinary.

'However, what about the chakra sword?'. 

It had the principle of chakra shape, flowing chakra over the sword, sharpening it, and bolstering it.

'However, the problem lies in the stability. '.

Just like maintaining a Rasengan was impossible for Naruto when he was young, similarly, I would require a lot of mastery over this move to be able to master it. 

Holding my sword over my head, I flowed chakra through my veins. The dark blue-looking substance covered my sword. 

I could see the sword struggling to take all of it; however, I had to continue.

Sweat was pouring like a waterfall; I kept changing the shape of chakra.

For a second, I could see it, the mighty chakra sword. 

It was sharp, so sharp I almost thought it would cut me from just the pressure. 

'If I ever am able to add lightning to it, how sharp would my sword become? '.

However, before I could even swing it, my chakra destabilized. My eyes glazed over my now chakra-less blade, its dark blue edges showing thin cracks.

'My sword doesn't have enough of the chakra metal to handle this.'. 

"I have to do something about this.". I spoke out loud.

"About what, Kagami?". Daiki spoke from the entrance of my villa.

I turned towards him, "Well, I have been practicing something; however, my sword can't handle it without more chakra metal.". 

He walked towards me and nodded, "Yeah, and that shit is costly.". He looked towards me incredulously.

"Yeah, I know; I can't afford it.". I dabbed him and pulled him in for a hug. "How are the days treating you?". 

He laughed and said, "Well, I have been spending time with her; we decided to get married by next month, so I have been over the moon. ".

I pulled out from the hug, Congratulations," fucker, that calls for a celebration.". 

"Let's go eat something, treats on me," I said to my brown-haired friend.

He looked elated at that. "You know I never say no to free food. ".

We both made our way across Konoha, talking about recent things in our lives. I recapped my mission to him, to which he responded, "You must have scared them to death, literally. ".

Yes, Daiki and his bad jokes, well, whatever works for the man.

Making our way to a traditional restaurant, I ordered almost all the things on the menu.

'There isn't a lot to begin with.'.

With the food soon landing in front of us, we dug in.

Finishing the food barely took us any time.

"Daiki, what do you think I should do now?". 

He sat across from me, "Honestly, is the move that big of a deal?". 

I pondered over that, but the answer came quickly, "It is; it will bolster all my other moves.".

He nodded at that, "Well, there is a way, but it is pretty difficult. ". He looked unsure and added, "Maybe even impossible for you.". 

I did not take hurt to that; there being a way was enough for me. I nudged him to go on.

"Well, Land of Iron has this championship.".

I asked, "Like a 'who is the best samurai' kind of thing?". 

He replied, "Well, more like, 'Who is the most talented among the young ones?'." He continued, "The age limit is eighteen.". 

I questioned, "And the rewards must be.".

"Chakra metal," he looked serious as he spoke with concern, "but Kagami, being a samurai and ninja are two different things; their techniques might baffle you.". 

"I have heard there are some talented samurai who have reached the level of chunin just by swordsmanship," he added slowly, "and they are participating this year.". 

I nodded at him; his concern was pretty obvious. He did not want his friend to die in some samurai battle after just returning from war.

"It's important to me, Daiki," my curiosity took hold. "Why do you know so much about this competition?". 

Knowing Daiki, he was the laziest bunch, so it puzzled me how he was aware of this. 

"Well, my best friend uses swords; it's my job as your bro to know about these things.". 

'Thanks, brother.'. 

I smiled at that, "Damn right you do, thanks bro.". 

I dabbed him and pulled him off his seat, "Time to go home; otherwise, Haku will beat your ass.". 

He sighed, "I know, I know.". 

Leaving him at his doorstep, I started making my way back.

Not until I came across Shisui. 

He was practicing fire release against the lake.

While looking at him blowing a large fireball, I thought ...

'There is a real possibility of dying... Should I?
