Naruto: Uchiha's Resolve

Chapter 6: Chapter:6

Inside the Uchiha Guard headquarters, Uchiha Hirito looked at the angry crowd of Uchiha clan members before him, a satisfied smile tugging at his lips.

"Quiet!" he ordered, raising his hand. Instantly, the Uchiha under his command fell silent, each one eager to hear what he had to say next.

The atmosphere was tense. Hirito had been the first to break the news of Tobirama's death and the appointment of Sarutobi Hiruzen as the Third Hokage. None of them were willing to accept such a decision quietly. As the Uchiha stared at Hirito, they saw in his expression a mix of resolve and defiance.

Hirito spoke, his tone steady and forceful. "When Konoha was first founded, it was the Uchiha and the Senju who joined forces. The First Hokage was a warrior like no other, strong enough to single-handedly dominate the entire ninja world."

"The Second Hokage possessed a mind sharper than any blade, wielding forbidden jutsu as if they were child's play," Hirito continued. "Those two Hokages… they were worthy of leading Konoha."

He paused, sneering slightly. "But who is Sarutobi Hiruzen? A mere guard who abandoned the Hokage he was sworn to protect, fleeing back to Konoha like a frightened dog. And now he dares to think he deserves the title of Hokage?"

"No!" the Uchiha roared in unison, their voices filled with anger and disdain. For them, the idea of Sarutobi Hiruzen as Hokage was an insult to the village's legacy.

"Exactly," Hirito nodded. "I won't accept it either."

In his mind, Hirito recalled the original events of his previous life, where Konoha's future was seemingly orchestrated by some unseen hand. But this was the real world now, and Hirito was determined to see things unfold differently. He considered how absurd it was that Mito would ignore her own son and instead elevate Sarutobi Hiruzen, a man whose leadership would only bring future suffering to both the Uchiha and Senju clans.

"Let's see how the people of Konoha feel once they know the truth." Hirito's voice was icy, his eyes narrowing with a sharp glint. "Tetsuka, take your team and spread the word across your district. Tell them the Shadow Guard abandoned the Hokage, leaving him to die."

"Inahiro," he added, turning to the other, "take your team to your designated area and start a rumor that the Shadow Guard conspired with the Raikage to assassinate the Hokage."

One by one, Hirito assigned each Uchiha officer tasks, creating a web of half-truths and lies mixed with just enough fact to make the rumors stick. Hirito knew that by the time these stories spread across Konoha, the truth would be buried under layers of confusion and anger.

The Uchiha present were stunned, caught off guard by Hirito's shrewdness. They looked at each other, slowly understanding his plan. His words weren't just rumors—they were a public opinion assault aimed at dismantling Sarutobi Hiruzen's legitimacy before it could take hold.

"Captain, that's… brilliant!" Inahiro blurted out, unable to contain his admiration. "You're more cunning than Tobirama ever was!"

Realizing what he'd just said, Inahiro's eyes widened, and he glanced at Hirito in horror. "Wait, Captain, I didn't mean it that way! I was just saying you're… uh… clever. Smart! That's it, you're just really smart!"

Hirito smirked, his gaze sharp as he looked at Inahiro. "I'm 'cunning,' am I? You think I'm being sly here?"

"Uh, no, sir! I just meant you have great strategy!" Inahiro stammered, his voice quivering as he watched Hirito unsheathe his ninja sword, its blade gleaming in the light.

"Inahiro," Hirito said with a dangerous grin, "it seems you're a bit tense. After your task, come see me—I'll give you a 'lesson' in controlling that tongue of yours."

Inahiro stepped back, glancing helplessly at his brother Tetsuka for assistance.

But Tetsuka, shaking his head at his brother's tactless nature, muttered, "Inahiro, you've done it again. Captain, please don't be too hard on him. He just can't help himself."

"Captain," Tetsuka continued, redirecting the conversation, "is it true that Sarutobi Hiruzen was named Hokage by Tobirama before he died?"

"Yes," Hirito replied, his voice calm but laced with contempt. "That's the truth. Today, I'm telling all of you as plainly as I can."

Inahiro's frustration boiled over. "Sarutobi Hiruzen as Hokage? I could take him down myself! If he's Hokage, I won't stand for it."

The Uchiha murmured in agreement, voicing their resentment. The Uchiha clan, proud and powerful, would never willingly bow to a lesser clan like the Sarutobi, especially not under a leader they considered unworthy.

Hirito nodded, his eyes alight with a quiet fury. "The Uchiha are the pride of Konoha. We will ensure that pride is upheld, no matter who sits in the Hokage's chair."

Around him, the Uchiha nodded, solidifying their resolve. The Sarutobi clan, a minor clan dependent on Senju protection, had no right to claim the village's highest office. For the Uchiha, this wasn't just about politics; it was a question of honor.

"Do we accept this?" Hirito asked, his voice echoing in the room.

"No!" came the unanimous cry, the words filled with determination.

"Then let's spread the truth," Hirito concluded, a sinister smile on his face. "It's time for Konoha to learn what really happened."

---

By midday, the Uchiha Guards were stationed at every corner of Konoha's busy districts, subtly dropping bits of information wherever they could. In shops owned by the Uchiha, at tea houses, and even at street corners, the rumors were carefully spread by members of Hirito's team, until nearly every civilian had heard whispers of Tobirama's death and the betrayal by his own Shadow Guard.

The rumors snowballed with frightening speed. By the end of the day, the village was abuzz with speculation, anger, and disbelief. Some claimed the Shadow Guard had abandoned the Hokage out of cowardice; others whispered of a more sinister conspiracy.

One version of the tale even took on an outlandish twist—that Tobirama and Hiruzen had a forbidden connection, with Hiruzen exploiting it to gain Tobirama's favor. The Hokage, it was said, had died protecting Hiruzen in a final act of misplaced loyalty.

The whispers grew louder, and by evening, the entire village was consumed with speculation.

As he observed the unfolding chaos from a distance, Hirito couldn't help but feel satisfaction. Konoha's citizens were questioning Sarutobi Hiruzen's legitimacy, the Uchiha's reputation remained unblemished, and his clan had emerged stronger, united against a common threat.

This, Hirito knew, was only the beginning.
