Naruto: Uchiha's Resolve

Chapter 21: Chapter:21

Late that night, Uchiha Hirito lay back on his bed, feeling his body sink into the comfort of his soft mattress. His recent rise to clan leader left him mentally drained, yet the satisfaction of his new role was exhilarating.

"Right there, Manji!" Hirito commanded, feeling the tension ease from his muscles as his cat, Manji, continued pressing with his small, soft paws. Hirito had trained Manji to be quite the massage therapist, and his skill at finding pressure points was impressive.

Letting his mind wander, Hirito thought back on the events of the day. The elders, eager to ensure his loyalty, held an official ceremony at Naka Shrine to celebrate his new position. Although the inauguration felt tedious, Hirito's thoughts were entirely focused on the stone tablet in the shrine—a tablet that had deceived Uchiha Madara into seeking a "peace" that would enslave the entire world.

As expected, the stone tablet was encoded with the infamous Moon Eye Plan—an Otsutsuki scheme that used Madara as a pawn to revive Kaguya. Hirito smiled wryly. He knew the story too well to be swayed by the promises of the tablet, but he admired how cleverly it had been written to ensnare someone as proud as Madara.

Reading it, Hirito could almost see the struggle Madara must have faced. After waging wars to unify the clans and striving to build a village with Hashirama, Madara's hope for peace would have grown dim as he saw the conflicts beneath the surface. To Madara, the tablet's "promise" of a true peace would have seemed like the only solution.

Hirito sympathized with Madara, though. The life of a warrior born in constant battle didn't just end with peace. But knowing the truth, Hirito saw through the illusion.

One day, maybe, Hirito thought with a grin, I'll get my hands on a chakra fruit, become powerful enough to face the Otsutsuki head-on, and truly reshape the world. He let out a laugh at the thought, secretly fantasizing about becoming strong enough to stand against them.

But for now, Hirito drifted off to sleep, content with his achievements and the newfound strength he felt as leader of the Uchiha. Meanwhile, across Konoha, tension was mounting.

Elsewhere, the Hyuga clan's main house was still alight as the clan head, Hyuga Takuma, paced back and forth.

The recent reports from Anbu confirmed the death of Tobirama and, more unsettlingly, that Uchiha Hirito had ascended to clan leader and awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan. A memory of Uchiha Madara's power was enough to haunt any clan, and Takuma's concern grew.

"Is there any word from Lady Mito?" he asked his advisor, Hyuga Kunihiko, who shook his head.

"No, clan leader. Lady Mito has remained in seclusion since Tobirama's death."

Takuma sighed heavily. He had hoped to consult with Mito to coordinate the response from Konoha's powerful clans. With the Uchiha showing such strength, any small spark could ignite a war. The entire village seemed like a powder keg, ready to explode.

Pacing the floor, Takuma made up his mind. "If Lady Mito won't see us, we must address the situation ourselves. Kunihiko, arrange a private meeting with Uchiha Hirito tomorrow. Be discreet."

As Takuma prepared to meet Hirito, he knew that whatever decision was made would shape Konoha's future for generations to come.
