Naruto: Uchiha Rejects Konoha

Uchiha clan, Yagami family.

"Hiss! I can't do it anymore! I really can't... You are an animal!"

The sky was just starting to brighten, and Terumi Mei's soft, rustling voice could already be heard.

"Ha! I don't know who said I couldn't keep going before, but now you know!"

Yagami chuckled, saying that satisfaction comes only when you go all out. He had the final say on when their negotiation would end.

Damn you, b*****d, do you really have to remember something like this for so long?

Terumi Mei gritted her teeth as she looked at Yagami. She didn't speak clearly, but her eyes seemed to convey a thousand words.

"You…"

Boom!

Yagami was just about to tease her when a loud noise echoed in the distance, followed by emergency signals from both the police department and the Uchiha clan.

"Police Department Prison! You stay in the clan area; don't wander around!"

Yagami's expression changed as he climbed out of the window, quickly throwing on a robe. Once he reached a hidden area where no one could see him, he used the Flying Thunder God to enter the police prison's secret chamber.

"This is... Wood Style?"

The cell where Danzo and Orochimaru were imprisoned was already empty. Judging by the traces left behind, Danzo was likely responsible, while Orochimaru probably took advantage of the chaos to escape.

It doesn't matter that Orochimaru escaped; he needed to be released anyway. With Danzo as a distraction, it saves him a lot of trouble.

But Danzo—he can't just let him go. Since the Third Hokage is reluctant to make a decision, he'll lend a hand!

Donning the combat uniform in the secret room, Yagami teleported himself to spots around the prison. To travel freely through Konoha, he had left Flying Thunder God marks in several inconspicuous places.

"Someone's escaped from prison! Hurry, he's heading toward the village entrance!"

"Damn it! It's Wood Style! Everyone, be careful not to get caught by his technique!"

"Signal for backup! Orochimaru escaped as well!"

It was nearly dawn, the time when everyone was most relaxed. Danzo had chosen this moment to escape, showcasing his experience.

However, he missed one crucial point: he hadn't received news of Kirigakure's visit to Konoha and, therefore, didn't realize the village's security had become much tighter during this period.

The moment he stepped out of the police department prison, he was discovered.

To increase his chances of escape, Orochimaru summoned two giant snakes, creating immediate chaos near the police prison.

"Yagami! That old dog Danzo has escaped from prison—why don't you let us handle it?"

When Yagami arrived at the police prison's gate, the Uchiha clan members who had been hiding in the shadows immediately appeared. Yagami had informed them in advance to stay back and avoid interfering if Danzo caused trouble in the prison.

"After all, Danzo has been the Hokage's advisor for years and still controls the Root.

Who can guarantee he doesn't have a trump card or two? There's no need to risk your lives over someone like him."

"Just keep an eye on him and prevent him from escaping. Let him fight Konoha!"

Yagami explained aloud that, although in the original events, that old guy prepared a trump card for himself, sealing half of the bridge in the end, without Obito's Kamui, the two Uchiha members at that time might not have been able to escape safely.

Moreover, if he remembered correctly, Danzo still had two Sharingan on him. Though weakened in activity and pupil power, there was a chance he could activate Izanagi. 

In other words, Danzo, in his current state, could likely activate the Four Symbols Seal up to three times. If the Uchiha members rushed in, who knew if they would end up creating more problems for the Uchiha by acting rashly?

"Then we just watch from here?"

Listening to the sounds of chaos in the distance, a Uchiha clansman asked with a slight frown. He had no intention of aiding Konoha, but he was concerned about Danzo escaping.

"Don't worry, the Third Hokage knows Danzo too well. He won't let Danzo leave Konoha.

Let's just observe for now.

Once Konoha has exhausted Danzo's strength, it won't be too late to take action…

And, have you all forgotten the lessons of the Nine-Tails Rebellion so quickly? If you rush in, you might still not be accepted by the others."

Yagami glanced at the clansman who had spoken, and his words left everyone looking grim.

A Danzo with Wood Style, combined with Orochimaru's summoning of two large snakes, posed a danger not necessarily comparable to the Nine-Tails Rebellion but one with a similar magnitude of chaos. Now, it depended on how well Konoha would handle this prison break.

"Sarutobi! Are you trying to stop me?"

Danzo had spent time in prison and was being targeted by the Uchiha. Even with Orochimaru's black-market enhancements, his strength wasn't at its peak.

Moreover, his own power was limited. Without both Wood Style and Sharingan, his strength fell short of true Kage level.

His Wood Style was nothing like the First Hokage's; it was limited to poking techniques. Faced with the siege of Konoha shinobi, he was quickly intercepted by the Third Hokage and other leaders.

At the same time, the two snakes Orochimaru summoned were restrained by two giant toads, unable to support Danzo or disperse Konoha's forces.

In addition to the Third Hokage, Konoha had Jiraiya and Tsunade present. Even if Tsunade didn't intervene, "ten Jiraiya could handle most of the troubles."

"Danzo! You can't escape! Surrender now!"

The Third Hokage looked at Danzo with cold eyes. Anbu and various ninja clans appeared, blocking his path out of the village. The village's protective barrier had also been activated at that moment.

"Lord Danzo! The village barrier has been sealed. Unless it's broken by force, we can't leave!"

Danzo was surrounded by several former Root members. Despite their fear of the First Hokage's Wood Style, few on the Third Hokage's side dared to approach directly. After all, it was Wood Style!

Although Danzo hadn't launched any large-scale Wood Style jutsu, who could guarantee he wouldn't?

"It's actually Wood Style! Konoha has certainly achieved something impressive over the years!"

Terumi Mei's image emerged faintly from a puddle of water within the Uchiha clan area, observing the wood-style technique Danzo was using. It stirred a mix of awe within her.

After all, this was Wood Style! The very technique that man once used to dominate the ninja world!

"Then find a way to break the barrier. I will leave Konoha today!" 

Danzo glared fiercely at the Third Hokage. His right arm twisted as the bandages unravelled, and branches burst forth, reaching toward the surrounding ninjas.

"Composite Ninja Art: Earth Dragon Fire Technique!"

Seeing the Anbu and other ninjas forced back by Wood Style, the Third Hokage began to take action. Kage-level combatants were not something the Jōnin could handle, especially with the danger of Danzo's Wood Style.

If the Third Hokage didn't act, the combined efforts of Danzo and his Root operatives would turn the surrounding shinobi into mere targets.
