Chapter 153: Chapter:146
Ah yes the same sh*t of 2Chapters/day..you think so Noooo this offer ends today.
As Izuna held Mito's hand, walking into Uzushio Village, the villagers—both ninja and civilians—were gripped by fear and unease.
Had the Senju clan not deployed their forces to the east to confront the Kaguya clan's surprise attack, the situation might have escalated to uncontrollable levels.
Feeling the stares of her clansmen, Mito lowered her head in embarrassment. She quickened her pace, biting her lip, and whispered, "Hurry up."
Izuna chuckled, shrugged nonchalantly, and followed her. Together, they soon arrived at the high pavilion—where Mito's wedding to Senju Hashirama was originally planned to take place.
"This is a nice spot," Izuna said, placing his hands on the windowsill. "You can see the entire village from here. It feels like standing atop the clan itself."
He turned to Mito with a smirk. "We should build something like this back at Uchiha."
Mito, who had just changed into a simple white kimono, overheard his words as she walked back from the side room. Her brows furrowed slightly, and she bit her lower lip. "What are you even thinking? There's no future for us," she said, her tone conflicted.
"Whether there's a future or not isn't up to you, or even your grandfather," Izuna said confidently.
Before Mito could respond, Izuna wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close. She gasped in surprise, only to hear him whisper mischievously, "It's up to me."
Caught off guard, Mito's cheeks flushed. "Let go of me!" she exclaimed, her tone both shy and frustrated.
Izuna, grinning, leaned slightly back and teased, "Hmm, it seems like you've grown." His gaze was mischievous, prompting Mito to glare at him in both anger and embarrassment.
"Can you stop thinking about such nonsense?" Mito retorted, slapping his shoulder.
Despite the playful exchange, Izuna's attention drifted eastward. His expression grew sharp as he sensed the intense chakra and killing intent emanating from that direction. "The battle seems fierce," he mused aloud. "Even I can feel the murderous aura from here."
The coordinated assault of the Kaguya clan had caused significant psychological distress to both the Uzumaki and Senju forces. Though Kaguya's numbers were small, the audacity of their attack had thrown Uzumaki into chaos.
Mito, noticing his serious tone, pleaded softly, "Help us."
"Help you?" Izuna turned to her, amused. "You want me to assist Uzumaki and Senju against Kaguya? Shouldn't I be taking you and letting the three clans tear each other apart while Uchiha watches from the sidelines?"
Mito hit his shoulder again, frustrated. "Did you and Kaguya plan this together?" she demanded.
Izuna raised an eyebrow, his expression nonchalant. Her accusation wasn't entirely unfounded, but he neither confirmed nor denied it.
After a moment of silence, Mito's voice softened. "If you help us through this crisis… I'll go with you."
Izuna's brow arched slightly as he met her gaze. Her expression was resolute, though tinged with hesitation.
"You're serious?" he asked.
Mito hesitated but nodded. "Yes. But you have to promise not to harm Uzushio Village or my clan."
Izuna chuckled softly. "I don't need your grandfather's permission to take you," he said. "But I'll hold you to your word. Once this is over, you can't go back on your promise—even if Uzumaki Guanghai tries to stop me."
Mito's lips pressed tightly together, but after a moment, she nodded firmly. "I promise."
A triumphant grin spread across Izuna's face. Without warning, he leaned down and kissed her.
"Mm—!" Mito's eyes widened in shock, her hands instinctively pushing against his chest. But as the kiss deepened, her resistance softened, and she found herself responding shyly.
The tender moment was abruptly interrupted by a loud gasp.
"Ah! Ahhh!"
Izuna and Mito turned to see Mito's young maid standing at the stairs, her face red with embarrassment.
"I—I didn't see anything!" the maid stammered, before spinning around and fleeing down the steps.
Mito's face burned with humiliation as she pushed Izuna away. "What are you doing?!" she hissed.
Izuna smirked. "She'll figure it out eventually," he said casually, turning toward the window.
Mito crossed her arms, glaring at him. "You promised to help. Don't forget!"
"Of course," Izuna said with a wink. Then, with a quick movement, he vaulted out of the high pavilion window, landing gracefully on the rooftops below.
As she watched him disappear into the distance, Mito couldn't help but feel conflicted.
Moments later, the young maid returned, cautiously peeking through the door.
"Princess…" she said hesitantly, a teasing smile tugging at her lips.
"Ahh!" Mito jumped in surprise. "When did you—?"
The maid giggled. "Your sensory skills are always so sharp, but you didn't notice me twice today. I wonder why?"
Mito glared at her, though her face betrayed her flustered state. "You're impossible," she muttered, turning away to hide her blush.
The maid simply smiled knowingly, keeping her thoughts to herself.
