In the training ground, two figures faced each other in silence.

A cold wind swept through, lifting their sleeves as their gazes locked, sharp as blades.

Obito handed his cup to the little girl beside him without turning his head.

"Rin, could you get me some hot water? We can drink it on our way back later."

Once the little girl left, Obito rolled up his sleeves and beckoned at Nagano with a smirk.

"Come on, make it quick."

Nagano scoffed, folding his arms triumphantly.

"Obito, you must think you've already won, don't you?"

Obito nodded without hesitation, though inwardly he felt a flicker of impatience.

If you want to fight, just fight already. Why so much talking?

Nagano put his hands on his hips, grinning smugly.

"Hah! If that's what you think, you're in for a rude awakening! Over this break, I've worked ten, no, a hundred times harder than anyone else. The me standing before you now is nothing like the me from before. The current me—"

Before Nagano could finish his monologue, a fist suddenly filled his vision.

"Boom!"

Obito's punch landed squarely on Nagano's face. Stars exploded in Nagano's vision as he lost his balance and crashed to the ground with a loud "thud."

Obito immediately followed up, pummeling Nagano mercilessly.

"This is what you get! For talking too much!"

Nagano curled up on the ground, shielding his head as he muttered angrily.

Obito pressed down harder with his foot, cutting him off.

In just a few minutes, Obito decisively ended the "fight." Or rather, it was a one-sided beatdown.

Not long after, Rin came running back with a cup in her hands.

"Obito, here's your cup."

Obito took the cup and smiled, his eyes curving into crescents.

"Thanks, Rin."

He glanced at the defeated Nagano sprawled on the ground, then raised the cup high, a heroic feeling welling up inside him.

The water shot out of his mouth and sprayed directly onto Nagano's face.

"Argh!" Nagano howled.

Obito looked at Rin in disbelief.

Rin blinked innocently.

"You said to get hot water, so I brought you freshly boiled water."

Obito froze.

Awkwardly, he put his hands together in a gesture of apology toward Nagano.

"My bad. Truly, my bad."

"Let's go, Rin."

Hand in hand with Rin, Obito left the scene of the "crime."

Behind them, Nagano's wails echoed through the entire academy.

"Obito! I swear I'll never forgive you!"

After seeing Rin safely home, Obito wandered the streets with a frown.

He had a big problem on his hands. The system hadn't given him a single quest in nearly ten days!

During this time, he had tried every weird pose and action he could think of, but the system remained unresponsive.

And without the system, the source of all his confidence was gone.

"System, are you there? How about a quest?"

Obito stared at the options in disbelief.

He could almost hear the system's smug voice.

"Which one do I even pick? Or rather, can I pick any of these?"

For the first time, Obito considered his options purely based on practicality rather than rewards.

"Option one? Nope. My OCD would never survive. Option two? Croaking and jumping like a toad… too conspicuous."

Sighing, he made his choice.

"Option three it is."

Pain is the price of power, he told himself. Even if it means flirting with social death, the strength gained will be worth it.

Late that evening, under the cover of darkness, Obito crept out of his house.

"There's no way anyone's out here at this hour," he muttered, slipping into a nearby grove.

After confirming he was alone, Obito lay on the ground and began to imitate a snake's crawling movements.

Halfway through, he paused and muttered to himself.

"Thank goodness I was smart enough to lay down a towel first. Otherwise, this would be unbearable."

Unbeknownst to him, on the other side of the grove, a diligent young man was practicing his kicks. After completing a set, he stopped and frowned.

"Strange. Did I just hear… Obito's voice?"

Curious, Might Guy followed the sound, his heart lifting at the thought.

"Could it be that Obito is training as hard as I am, even at this late hour? Truly, he understands the essence of youth!"

Guided by the sound, he soon spotted Obito in the distance.

Hearing a noise, he looked up—and locked eyes with Guy.

Obito froze.

The kind of existential crisis that only a brush with social death could bring hit him like a ton of bricks.

Why is Guy here? Why now?!

But Guy, completely oblivious, broke the silence with a question.

"Obito, what are you doing?"

Obito hesitated for a moment before replying.

"I'm… activating Dragon Spine technique!"

"Dragon Spine Technique?"

"Yes. It's a combination of movement and biomimicry, designed to train core strength and awaken dormant muscle groups."

Guy's eyes lit up, admiration written all over his face.

"Obito, can I join you?"
