A middle-aged man with long white hair and a forehead protector engraved with the kanji for "oil" called out to Tobirama Senju.
"Jiraiya, is it?" Tobirama turned his head.
The man before him wasn't a stranger—his younger self had met Jiraiya a few times through Tsunade. Thus, while Jiraiya was shocked that Tobirama still remembered him, he wasn't entirely surprised.
"You've… been resurrected? Was it Orochimaru's doing?" Jiraiya's face was filled with disbelief. This was the Second Hokage, a man who only existed in the childhood stories of Tsunade, now standing before him, alive and well.
"You came at the right time, boy. Now, come with me—we need to stabilize the chaos in Konoha."
Tobirama issued his command, his tone brooking no argument.
"Yes!"
Jiraiya, typically easygoing and even irreverent, straightened up in front of the Second Hokage, shedding his usual nonchalance.
I wonder what kind of face Tsunade would make if she saw a living Second Hokage. Heh heh, Jiraiya thought mischievously.

Elsewhere in Konoha
The battle was tipping decisively in Konoha's favor.
With Orochimaru's retreat, the remaining Sound and Sunagakure shinobi were nothing more than scattered fragments. Many of the Sunagakure shinobi didn't even realize that their Kazekage had been impersonated—the true Kazekage's body hadn't even been found.
"Jiraiya-sama!"
"Who's that beside him?"
"Wait… isn't that the Second Hokage? He looks just like the face on the Hokage Rock!"
As Tobirama and Jiraiya fought their way through enemy ranks, freeing more Konoha shinobi, whispers spread among the troops. Some recognized the legendary Second Hokage, whose face had only ever been seen in textbooks and on the monument.
Tobirama ignored the murmurs.
The chaos of Orochimaru's "Konoha Crush" needed to be dealt with, and quickly. Tobirama was eager to restore order—and his full strength.
"Where is Hiruzen? Bring him to me!" Tobirama coldly ordered the crowd.
At first, some shinobi bristled at hearing the Hokage's name spoken so directly. But the sight of this man, bearing an uncanny resemblance to the Second Hokage, silenced their objections.
Soon, someone rushed off, and a visibly weary Hiruzen Sarutobi appeared moments later.
"Sensei… you asked for me?" Hiruzen's voice trembled slightly, his cautious tone betraying the apprehension he felt.
Hiruzen's demeanor only confirmed the onlookers' suspicions—the Second Hokage had returned.
"Hiruzen," Tobirama began sternly, "the greatest threats have been dealt with. Why haven't the remaining enemies in the village been cleared out?"
Hiruzen flinched, memories of his teacher's strictness flooding back.
"Sensei… Sunagakure's jinchūriki is still here in Konoha. How should we handle him? Right now, Konoha isn't in a position to provoke another war," he stammered.
"Foolishness!" Tobirama's sharp voice cut through the air. "Detain all the Sunagakure shinobi immediately. When the time comes, let their village offer an explanation. They dare cause trouble in our village, and you think we should greet them with smiles? Hiruzen, when did you become so soft?"
Tobirama's rebuke left Hiruzen visibly shaken.
Many of the Konoha shinobi standing nearby nodded in agreement. Hiruzen's leniency over the years had worn thin, especially when the incident with Kumogakure's attempted abduction of a Hyūga clan heiress ended with the sacrifice of Hiashi's brother. The pent-up frustration among the troops was palpable.
"Spread my orders," Tobirama commanded. "All enemy shinobi still resisting in the village are to be killed on sight. Those who surrender will be detained in Konoha's prison."
"Understood! The Second Hokage is wise!"
A wave of approval rippled through the ranks. Under Tobirama's leadership, the village's counterattack proceeded swiftly and efficiently. Any resisting Sound or Sunagakure shinobi were struck down without hesitation, while those who surrendered were rounded up.
Order was restored in no time.

Inside the Hokage's Office
Seated at the head of the table, Tobirama received a notification from the system.
Name: Tobirama Senju
Strength: Beyond Kage level
Status: Impure World Reincarnation
Fully restored to his prime, Tobirama's presence alone exuded a subtle yet immense pressure, one that both Hiruzen and Jiraiya felt acutely.
"The Second Hokage… resurrected?"
News of Tobirama's return sent shockwaves through Konoha's clans.
The clan leaders found themselves at a loss. Would this legendary Hokage return to the afterlife once order was restored? Or… would he take back the reins of the village?
Uncertainty gripped their hearts.
