"Sister Konan…" Arata suddenly spoke, breaking the train of Konan's thoughts.
"Well, what's going on?" Konan whispered.
"You seem to have something on your mind," Arata said.
Konan didn't speak and fell into silence.
She hadn't thought about how to explain her thoughts to Arata. If she ended up scaring the boy, she would feel guilty about it.
"Sister Konan, do you still remember what I said before—that I wanted to talk to you about something?" Arata looked into her eyes and said solemnly, "I think now is a good opportunity for me to tell you..."

"Hey, wake up!" Amidst his drowsiness, Arata heard someone calling out to him. Shaking off the groggy feeling, Arata rubbed his sleepy eyes and opened them slowly.
The first thing he saw was a translucent red head that emerged from the foot of his bed and appeared in front of his eyes.
"Fuck!" Startled by the sudden appearance of the ghost-like entity, Arata exclaimed and woke up instantly.
"Hahahaha, your expression is so funny!" Kushina brushed away the hair covering her face and showed a shit-eating grin plastered on her face.
Arata's lips twitched, his face covered with black lines as he looked at her. "You might scare someone to death, Kushina-san. Please act like a normal human being."
"You're right, but you forgot that I'm no longer a human." Kushina winked at him with a jab.

Arata really couldn't refute this. He stood up with a helpless expression and put on his coat while looking at her body from the corner of his eyes. "Aren't you afraid of being seen like this?"
"What does it matter? You are the only one left in this room." Kushina buried her body under the bed board, still only showing her head, and said, "Your teacher Nono, Rina, and even Karin got up earlier than you! Don't you think you should feel a bit of shame seeing their actions?"
"No need, there is no sense of shame in the hearts of people who are the true salted fish." Arata went into the bathroom and started to wash up.
"Your sister Konan was up early as well. She even came here to look for you while you were sleeping," Kushina reminded.
