Naruto: The Tale of an Otsutsuki

Chapter 286: Chapter 286: The Turning Tide

Naruto chuckled at Kirito's remark. "Don't worry. After this battle is over, I'll treat you to some ramen. It's on me."

As Naruto spoke, his body was enveloped in a brilliant orange glow as he activated the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. Meanwhile, Konohamaru successfully retreated with the injured shinobi, clearing the battlefield for Naruto and Kirito to engage Ishiki.

Ishiki observed the scene with a calm, calculating gaze. "Impressive strength," he mused, his attention shifting to Kirito. "You'd make an excellent sacrifice for the Ten Tails. Combined with this resource-rich world, the Divine Tree would bear the finest Chakra Fruit."

He raised his hand, and the giant cube Kirito had deflected moments earlier began to shrink, returning to its original die form before landing in Ishiki's palm.

Ishiki turned to Naruto, his voice cold. "Hokage, let's keep this simple. Hand over Kawaki, and I'll leave Konoha intact. Surely you don't want your precious village reduced to rubble?"

Naruto's expression hardened. "Dream on! Only a fool would give Kawaki to someone like you!"

"So be it," Ishiki said with a faint sigh. "If you won't comply, I'll make you."

Before anyone could react, Ishiki vanished.

"Where did he—?!" Naruto began, but before he could finish, Ishiki appeared beside him, delivering a devastating kick.

Boom!

Naruto was sent flying, crashing through several buildings before embedding into the ground.

Ishiki moved to pursue, but a shadow loomed over his face. He leaned back just in time to dodge Kirito's foot, which whizzed past his eyes with incredible speed.

Leaping back to create distance, Ishiki analyzed Kirito with narrowed eyes. The faint glimmer of white light surrounding Kirito's body was unsettling.

Kirito, his Byakugan fully activated, took a step forward. The silver-white glow surrounding him shimmered faintly, giving him an almost metallic appearance.

"What's this feeling?" Ishiki muttered to himself, his unease growing. Despite scanning his body with his Byakugan, he couldn't detect anything unusual. Yet the ominous sensation persisted.

Ishiki decided to eliminate the unknown threat immediately. He surged toward Kirito, his movements faster than a cannonball.

However, just before Ishiki's fist connected, Kirito swayed like a falling leaf, effortlessly dodging the attack.

Ishiki followed with a sweeping kick, but Kirito stepped back, avoiding it by a hair's breadth.

Frustration mounting, Ishiki unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, his strikes so fast and precise that they left shockwaves in their wake. Yet no matter how relentless his assault, Kirito dodged each attack with minimal movement.

"Stop dodging and fight me, you coward—!" Ishiki growled, but before he could finish, Kirito caught his fist mid-strike.

Without hesitation, Kirito stepped forward and delivered a powerful punch to Ishiki's abdomen.

Boom!

The force of the blow sent Ishiki hurtling through the air like a bullet, crashing through countless buildings before finally stopping against a thick wall.

Ishiki coughed as he struggled to his feet, shrinking his body to lighten the impact and stop his momentum.

"How..." he muttered, his voice laced with disbelief. "How does he have this kind of power?"

Before he could process the situation, Kirito appeared in front of him, aiming a devastating kick. Ishiki barely managed to dodge by flying upward and restoring his body to normal size.

Furious, Ishiki activated Daikokuten, attempting to retrieve a massive cube from his alternate space to counterattack.

But nothing happened.

"What?!" Ishiki's eyes widened in shock. He tried again, but the same invisible barrier blocked his ability to summon objects from his dimension.

"This... This shouldn't be possible!" Ishiki growled, his composure beginning to crack.

Seizing the opportunity, Kirito appeared again, this time delivering a bone-shattering knee strike to Ishiki's midsection.

Boom!

The impact created a massive crater in the ground, sending shockwaves that toppled nearby buildings. Ishiki coughed up blood as he was driven deep into the earth.

"Why... can't I summon anything?!" Ishiki muttered through gritted teeth, his mind racing. "Could it be his Byakugan? Is this some kind of spatial interference?"

As Ishiki struggled to comprehend his predicament, Kirito descended into the crater. Without hesitation, he delivered a powerful chakra-infused punch to Ishiki's face, driving him even deeper into the ground.

The force of the blow cracked the earth around them, and Ishiki's body slumped, half-buried in rubble.

Kirito stood tall, his blood-streaked fist glinting in the sunlight.

"Spatial abilities are useless in my presence," Kirito said, his voice calm and resolute.

The ability he had unlocked with his Byakugan, Boundary Closure, froze the spatial field within a designated area. Within this zone, all time-space techniques were rendered ineffective, including Ishiki's Daikokuten.

"The area of effect can be as small as a single room or as vast as the entire planet," Kirito explained. "It all depends on my chakra reserves."

Naruto, who had recovered and returned to the battlefield, watched in awe. "That's... incredible."

For the first time in centuries, Ishiki felt genuine fear.
