Naruto: The Rise Of Uchiha

Chapter 41: Chapter:41

"Is this the eye technique contained in the Mangekyō Sharingan?" Uchiha Chi asked, his voice heavy with despair.

Even a Kage-level warrior couldn't simplify a ninjutsu that originally required hand seals to the point where none were needed. The only explanation for the rapid movement, almost like teleportation, had to be the rumored eye technique of the Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Yes," Uchiha Fugaku replied coldly. "This is the eye technique contained in the Mangekyō Sharingan."

"Kill me… please, just kill me!" Uchiha Chi's heart sank further into despair.

He had tried everything — he had attempted to defeat Uchiha Fugaku and escape, but all his efforts had been in vain. Realizing there was no chance of survival, he could only hope for a quick death.

"It's about time," Fugaku said, his tone indifferent.

In a blur of speed, Fugaku appeared in front of Uchiha Chi. A sharp branch extended from Fugaku's right hand and pierced Chi's body. The branch grew inside him, sprouting more branches that tore through his internal organs and emerged from various parts of his body.

"Wood Release Kekkei Genkai?" Uchiha Chi whispered weakly, blood dripping from the corners of his mouth.

Despite his fatal injuries, Chi's elite Jonin-level vitality allowed him to stay conscious for a few moments longer. His eyes widened in disbelief — Uchiha Fugaku had mastered the legendary Wood Release Kekkei Genkai, a power associated with the First Hokage.

"Yes, this is Wood Release," Fugaku confirmed.

In reality, Uchiha Fugaku couldn't use Wood Release outside of the True Illusion eye technique. However, in this illusionary realm, he could manipulate reality to such an extent that even the impossible became possible. The illusion heightened his ability, allowing him to perform the Wood Release Kekkei Genkai, even though it was normally beyond his reach.

As Uchiha Chi felt the last of his life slipping away, he made one final plea. "Let my mother go…"

"You don't need to worry about her. The Uchiha clan won't harm your mother because of your betrayal," Fugaku said coldly.

Uchiha Chi felt a moment of relief before his body went limp, and he succumbed to his wounds.

Fugaku stepped forward, removing Uchiha Chi's eyes to prevent anyone from recovering his Sharingan. He also destroyed Chi's brain to ensure no one could extract memories from the corpse.

Whoosh!

Disappearing into the night, Fugaku left Uchiha Chi's blinded corpse by a crackling fire. The body lay still, left as evidence of his death. Fugaku had deliberately left behind traces of the Wood Release: Insertion Technique to mislead the Third Hokage and remove any suspicion from the Uchiha clan.

The next day at noon, Uchiha Fugaku quietly returned to Konoha. He dispelled the shadow clone he had left in his place during his absence, gaining all the memories from the past three days. Thanks to his massive chakra reserves, the shadow clone had been able to persist the entire time.

With the help of Uchiha Mikoto and Uchiha Yaowei, Fugaku's absence had gone unnoticed, and the Third Hokage had no clue that Fugaku had left the village.

"Father, you promised to practice ninjutsu with me today!" The young Uchiha Sasuke came running toward him with an eager smile.

"Don't worry, Sasuke," Fugaku smiled back. "I won't break my promise."

Sasuke, still a young boy, had black hair, dark eyes, and fair skin. His delicate features could almost make him look like a girl if his hair were longer.

The two made their way to the training ground in the backyard, a space specifically reserved for ninjutsu practice.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!" Sasuke shouted as he formed hand seals.

Sasuke puffed his cheeks and spat out a fireball that hit a target over ten meters away. The flames engulfed the target, which burned fiercely.

'His talent is impressive, but he's not quite on the level of Itachi,' Fugaku thought as he evaluated his younger son.

While Uchiha Itachi had mastered low-level ninjutsu with near-perfect precision on the first try, Sasuke still needed practice to reach the same level. Fugaku noted the difference but wasn't concerned. A ninja's strength wasn't determined by ninjutsu talent alone. There was taijutsu, genjutsu, and, of course, the potential of their bloodline.

Sasuke had great potential in his bloodline, even more so than Itachi, Fugaku knew. His younger son was the reincarnation of Indra's chakra, after all.

"Father, how was my Fireball Technique?" Sasuke asked excitedly, his eyes gleaming.

"You did well," Fugaku praised. "Today, as a reward, I'll teach you a new technique."

Sasuke's face lit up with joy.

"Watch closely," Fugaku instructed as he formed a series of hand seals. "This is the Phoenix Flower Jutsu. It creates multiple fireballs to strike several targets at once."

Fugaku performed the technique, sending fireballs one after another toward multiple targets, turning them into ash.

For the rest of the afternoon, Fugaku trained with Sasuke, teaching him new techniques and helping him refine his skills. The day passed quickly under Fugaku's patient instruction.

"Fugaku, Sasuke, it's time for dinner!" Uchiha Mikoto's gentle voice called from the doorway.

Mikoto felt a sense of relief seeing her husband safe, training Sasuke. She understood that his secret mission had gone smoothly, and he had returned without anyone noticing his absence from the village.

"Let's go eat," Fugaku said, turning to Mikoto and giving her a slight nod, silently confirming that everything had gone according to plan.
