Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Fucked up Kazekage
In a sandy house at the edge of Sunagakure, a boy around ten years old with black hair sat on a chair, fiddling with his arm.
This arm wasn't a human one but a prosthetic.
Behind him stood a female puppet with a body so lifelike it was almost indistinguishable from a real person.
"I finally figured out how to make a missile, it really took some effort. If I hadn't known that the Asura Path Pain would launch missiles, I would have thought it was just an explosive tag. Installing one in the arm... OK, no sign of it, perfect," the boy said, admiring the arm. A small sense of pride appeared on his face.
He sighed, "Though, one missile isn't enough. In the future, Sasuke might use summoning techniques for ninja tools. As soon as he touches the seal on his arm, he can instantly summon ninja tools. Maybe I'll find a way to learn that technique, add it to my little creation, and then I won't have any limitations."
The boy's name was Shindai Kamiyo, a Genin from Sunagakure.
However, Shindai's Genin status was somewhat dubious. He had never attended the village's ninja academy nor taken any exams. His uncle had forced the title upon him. Shindai never wanted to be a ninja.
By the way, Shindai's uncle was the Third Kazekage of Sunagakure.
Shindai was a member of the Kazekage's clan, possessing the Magnetic Release kekkei genkai.
However, Shindai had no memory of his parents. His parents had died on a mission when Shindai was barely two years old.
Afterward, it was the Third Kazekage who took him in.
But calling it an adoption would be generous; "neglect" would be more accurate.
The Third Kazekage would send someone to deliver food every day, just enough to ensure Shindai didn't starve.
Have you ever seen a two-year-old eat a rock-hard flatbread?
Shindai had.
Luckily, by the time he was two, children's teeth were already fully grown, or he probably wouldn't have made it this far.
Shindai still remembered how he nearly choked on that flatbread, only managing to swallow it after drinking some water.
But Shindai believed that surviving all of this was a miracle in itself.
This wasn't due to the Third Kazekage purposely making things difficult for him—he was just too busy to care about Shindai.
When Shindai turned three, the Kazekage visited and gave him three scrolls: one for chakra training and basic ninjutsu like the Transformation Technique, another for the Magnetic Release jutsu, and a third for Puppet Jutsu.
Without any teacher, Shindai was left to learn on his own, with no one to check if he could even do it.
The Kazekage rarely saw him; sometimes a whole year would pass without a visit.
Shindai stayed at home, never going outside. When someone brought food, he would leave it at the door, waiting until they were gone before he took it.
He was terrified—terrified that one day he might die without warning.
After all, this world was dangerous, and everyone seemed expendable.
Shindai's talent was extraordinary. Even without a teacher, he managed to learn chakra refinement and mastered both the Magnetic Release and Puppet Jutsu on his own.
And because he had seen things from outside this world, he had a unique understanding of Puppet Jutsu.
Not to boast, but in the ninja world, he could be considered a little genius.
But…
Even a genius with the Magnetic Release kekkei genkai was still just advanced cannon fodder.
This world valued background above all.
The protagonist team was strong, right? As members of the main group, they weren't likely to die.
But hey, even Neji, one of the "12 Strong" ninjas, died just like that.
Later, fights involved smashing meteor craters, flattening mountains, or even splitting the moon—what's the point of that?
You can't even play properly anymore.
So, let the protagonists fight while he stayed safe, making sure he wouldn't die. He just wanted to live a peaceful life and gain a bit of self-defense, marry... two kind and beautiful wives, and live happily ever after.
When Shindai was six, the Kazekage visited him once more and praised a puppet Shindai had made, comparing it to the creations of the village's genius puppet master, Sasori.
The Kazekage thought Shindai might have extraordinary potential and wanted to send him to the battlefield for experience.
The idea of being sent to war terrified Shindai.
He was only six! How could a six-year-old be sent to fight in a war? It was a human meat grinder!
Shindai believed that if he went, he'd certainly die, so he refused.
Shindai had planned to show off his Magnetic Release techniques, but immediately abandoned the idea. If the Kazekage found out, Shindai would be forced to go to the battlefield.
Shindai had no attachment to Sunagakure. His parents had died young, and he had been neglected, growing up alone on the outskirts of the village with only one friend.
So, he had no desire to sacrifice himself for the village. He only wanted to grow stronger, so he could protect himself, marry two beautiful wives, and live out his life happily.
He immediately started to fake symptoms, claiming he had hemophobia and couldn't stand blood, and that he couldn't fight. He even hid away.
Of course, hiding didn't help. The Kazekage found him quickly and gave him a good beating.
The Kazekage tested Shindai, and due to Shindai's sabotage, he failed miserably in all his jutsu, even struggling to control puppets.
Disappointed, the Kazekage assumed Shindai had some talent in puppet making, but was otherwise useless.
The Kazekage gave up on sending him to the battlefield and instead had him make puppets for the other ninja in Sunagakure, hoping that Shindai could help strengthen the village by creating more ninja with the Magnetic Release kekkei genkai.
But Shindai was too busy studying and making his own puppets to create any for others.
So far, he had only made two puppets for other ninjas.
But, to be honest, Shindai's creations were top-notch. Even the puppets he made in a day were far superior to anything made by the village's other puppet masters.
Shindai carefully attached the arm he had created to the female puppet behind him.
After fixing it in place, he admired his work and nodded in satisfaction, "Perfect~."
This female puppet had a very attractive figure, and her face was modeled after Shindai's own, but with a more feminine look.
Not to brag, but Shindai would definitely grow into a handsome young man, so the feminine face based on his own was also stunningly beautiful.
The puppet was named "Shinmugetsu," a name similar to Shindai's own.
