Chapter 18 - Senjutsu

With the war hanging on his Head, Natsuki re-doubles his effort into experimenting on Nature Energy. By now, four months had passed since the start of his research into natural energy. He has somehow made a breakthrough, thanks to The fight between Ruri and Nawaki.

Ruri and Nawaki fought each other, with me being the referee, thankfully, no one was spying on us, at least that's what Natsuki thinks. Both of them were extremely good in their own right, and during the battle, Natsuki got to know that Nawaki was training under orochimaru, something that surprised him as he didn't expect that.

but, the battle ended with Ruri being the victor, leaving Nawaki all bloody. Natsuki hands Nawaki a towel, which he wholeheartedly accepts, not knowing that it was partially A plan that Natsuki had concocted. The blood that remains in the Towel will be used by Natsuki as an insulator to further his research on Nature energy.

Nature energy needs to be mixed with both Mental energy and Physical Energy, which is Chakra to get Senjutsu. Nature energy on its own without chakra to balance it out causes mutations(curse mark effects) and eventually petrification in humans. Only the summoned animals can use it without pre-existing chakra.

He is a Molecular Biologist which means that he studies the interactions within cells at a molecular level. While he doesn't have the entire equipment that is needed, he has something else that he has created on his own due to his past memories.

Using Glass and a drop of water on it allows someone to 'zoom' in the thing they are able to look at, but it wouldn't work on a cellular level like blood, but that's where Fuinjutsu comes in. By using a Reduction Seal, a Shape Stabilization Seal and a Chakra Magnification Seal, Natsuki was able to create a Weird version of a microscope.

The Reduction seal would The glass should shrink and become thinner and curved, mimicking the shape of a magnifying lens. The Shape Stabilization Seal would transform the glass into a smooth, curved lens suitable for magnification and Chakra Magnification Seal amplifies the chakra-infused properties of the lens, allowing the user to adjust magnification by controlling the flow of chakra.

by using Chakra, Natsuki can magnify the Glass to be able to be used as a Microscope. The seals that he learnt were all thanks to two people, directly through his Blacksmith Job, where he learnt the Reduction seal and the Shape Stabilization seal, but the Chakra Magnification seal was learnt indirectly through Kushina.

He made Ruri ask her specific questions to Kushina, and while Ruri was extremely annoyed, She did help him, knowing that Natsuki is doing something useful so he could get stronger. with the ability to view Blood through a microscope, Natsuki found out something interesting, which if his theory is right, he might finally succeed.

The blood of the Senju is somehow much more sensitive to chakra than anything Natsuki has seen, including an uchihas. This is mostly due to the aspect of Ashura inheriting the Sage's body, which contains Yang Release. Natsuki realizes something interesting, and that is that he can stimulate the cells to passively absorb chakra that follows into the cell which he will supply.

This would mean that if he is able to somehow Send in Nature energy, the cells would be able to absorb it. The next step in his experiments was to stabilize natural energy, making it possible that it could exist in a tangible form. This would allow him to understand and harness it fully.

After a week of researching it, he finally got some success. He successfully drew in natural energy and merged it with regular chakra. However, Natsuki doesn't know the precise ratio for blending them or if any catalysts are needed for stability.

The result would be an explosion of unstable chakra, which sent him flying. While he survived, the training area which he decided had holes in it. Natsuki knew that continuing this research would be stupid, since that would put him under suspicion.

so, he decided to do all the calculations first. He might do the trials later on.

and so, the months pass, with Natsuki going to the Final Grade. At the start of the Sand Village's invasion of the Land of Fire, Tsunade had already gone to the frontlines to coordinate with other Konoha ninjas in the battle against the Sand. Her younger brother, Nawaki, had also gone off to fight early on.

that was the final time Natsuki saw Nawaki, knowing that in his heart, Nawaki is going to die, but Natsuki couldn't interfere, as it would change the course of the Shinobi world and the knowledge he has of it, which was an advantage that he couldn't ever lose, even though that might mean the loss of an innocent life.

while the doctor in his previous life might try to save the person, knowledge be damned, Being a Ninja for the past five years while constantly thinking of ways to escape the village, being Paranoid of when he will be sent to war and die, all made him pessimistic over what is going to happen.

According to one bearded Man, " Sacrifices must be made For The Greater Good!". But, He knows the Bearded man meant a completely different meaning when he said that, as Natsuki isn't letting Nawaki die because of the Shinobi world, not even for the village, but for himself.

Nawaki is dying so that Tsunade would leave the village which will give Natsuki some extra time to perfect his escape route. a guilt that Natsuki will carry forever in his heart.

Nawaki was dead. 

Humans are inherently selfish. Without ensuring their own safety, offering help to others would only lead to self-destruction. Salvation was a privilege reserved for the strong; the weak could only fend for themselves.

Nawaki's death would not warrant a grand funeral in Konoha. The village was wholly focused on driving the enemy from their borders, with no time to grieve for the fallen.

Even if that fallen was the grandson of the First Hokage. Nawaki had been a ninja. Whether or not he had fully grasped that reality was irrelevant.

This was the nature of war for shinobi. where Life was not something to celebrate. Nor was death something to mourn.

To be born into an era of chaos was the greatest misfortune of all.
