Chapter 15 - The End Of War

–——————----------------------------------------------------

"Good Morning Young Master Hiashi."

On a Monday morning, just as dawn broke around six o'clock, Ayane arrived promptly to wake Hiashi. There was a faint noise from the room. Soon, Hiashi emerged, his expression cold.

Without even glancing at Ayane, he walked straight past her.For Hiashi, Ayane's survival was uncertain, like every other servant from the branch family.

In the eyes of the main family, branch members' lives were not particularly important.

Most branch family members rarely resisted. They had grown accustomed to their position, a mindset deeply rooted in their upbringing and passed down through generations. They shared the main family's emotions—joy, anger, and sorrow.

Ayane understood Hiashi's indifference. She merely fulfilled her duties as a servant, quietly following behind him.Even now, she could sense many eyes watching her.

From the dark corners and silent spaces, she knew her every action was being monitored. Being chosen as the servant of the Hyūga Clan's heir was far from a privilege.

This sense of surveillance was something Ayane couldn't change. But, she could Train herself with the plans that Natsuki Made for her specifically to enhance her proficiency in Byakugan and The jutsu that The Hyuga's used.

After crossing several courtyards, Ayane continued trailing behind Hiashi. As they approached the training ground, a boy slightly younger than Hiashi appeared at the end of the corridor.

The boy looked almost identical to Hiashi. He lowered his head when he saw Hiashi, greeting him. But there was tension in his voice, and his fists were tightly clenched.

"Good Morning Young Master Hiashi."

"Hizashi, as a shinobi, you must control your emotions at all times. This behavior is disgraceful. Have you forgotten your role as a branch family member?"

Hiashi stopped and gave the boy a cold look, speaking with the authority of an older brother.

"Yes, brother."

The boy unclenched his fists and appeared calmer, but Ayane could tell his anger, frustration, and perhaps even hatred hadn't disappeared.

This boy's name was Hyūga Hizashi. Hiashi and Hizashi were twin brothers, sons of the Hyūga Clan leader. But because Hiashi was born first, he inherited the position of the main family heir, while Hizashi was marked as part of the branch family.

As a branch member, Hizashi's life, honor, and purpose were tied to his older brother. What had once been admiration and love had turned into resentment and hostility.

If he weren't the clan leader's son, such overt hostility toward the main family's heir might have led to severe punishment—or even death.

Even within the branch family, hierarchies existed. Not all branch members were treated equally.

When they reached the training ground, a skilled Hyūga Jōnin was already waiting for Hiashi to begin his morning training.

Because Ayane was his servant, she was allowed to stay and watch.

After becoming Hiashi's personal servant, Ayane's status was slightly elevated compared to most branch family members.

Hiashi practiced the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, a signature technique of the Hyūga Clan. When combined with the Byakugan, its power was unmatched.

Ayane had only learned the Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms. Something that without Natsuki's help, she couldn't have figured it out.

She focused On the training, analyzing all the Movements that Hisashi Made, trying to remember when she would train it herself.

The main family wanted the branch family to be strong enough to serve but never allowed them to master all of the clan's techniques.Letting a branch family member surpass the main family in skill would bring disgrace, which was unacceptable.

Branch members who proved themselves loyal and skilled might be allowed to learn the Sixty-Four Palms, but techniques like Eight Trigrams: Rotation, an absolute defense, were restricted to the main family.

As Hiashi's servant, Ayane's responsibilities weren't particularly demanding. Since she still attended the Ninja Academy, she wasn't always by his side.

This didn't bother Hiashi at all. To him, Ayane was just another branch family member—a tool whose presence he neither cared for nor noticed.

Like other branch servants who had died before her, she was replaceable. This perspective had been instilled in Hiashi by his father, the clan leader.

The main family was the root of the Hyūga Clan. As long as the root remained, the branches could wither or thrive—it didn't matter.

---

6 Months had Passed since Natsuki Got to Know that Ayane was selected as Hiashi's Maid. This left him with a question, Is Ayane the future Mother of both Hinata and Hanabi?

He doesn't know. But after her selection, she stopped coming to train with Him and Ruri, since she was under surveillance majority of the time. She still attended classes, and that is where he was able to give her points on developing her abilities.

Natsuki made sure to tell her to watch and learn from Hiashi, as He knew that Hiashi would be the Leader in the future, Training His daughters Hinata and Hanabi.

Due to the fact that The second Shinobi war was going on, the Orders for Weapons like Kunai, Shuriken and small Katanas exploded in quantity, allowing Natsuki to grow Immensely in the Art Of blacksmith under the Tutelage of San, one of the best Blacksmith in the village.

Natsuki finally dabbled in the art of Sealing, learning Fuinjutsu through adding seals in Weapons. He knows the explosion Seal and the Storage Seal, all thought by San.

Natsuki doesn't want to participate in the War directly, but he is kinda scared that due to his presence, a butterfly Effect would form that Will somehow Extend the War.

But then, shocking news came—

The war was over.

Yes, the war had ended. Konoha had defeated the Hidden Rain Village.

The Rain's leader, Hanzo the Salamander, officially acknowledged Konoha's victory and granted the title "Konoha Sannin" to three of Konoha's shinobi: Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade.

This brought an end to the three-year war between the two villages.

The village celebrated in joy and relief.

Natsuki was equally thrilled—he wouldn't have to face the horrors of war after graduation. Even though he knew that he wouldn't fight in a war after Graduation, it is good to have confirmation about it.

The Sannin returned with Konoha's forces, and many villagers gathered at the gates to welcome them. Among the crowd, Natsuki was just another face.

It was then that he saw the Konoha Sannin.

Orochimaru was a pale, sharp-eyed man with long black hair. Similar to his Canonical self.

Tsunade was a blonde woman with a warm smile and… a Heavy 'Burden' that she carries, making her back pain. *Cough* 108 *cough*

Wait… where is Jiraiya, the one who helped train the Child Of Prophecy, instilling in him the values that would make Naruto bring peace to the world?

Natsuki Remembers that Jiraiya might still be in the Rain Village, training the three orphans he found during the War.But at that moment, the villagers were too engrossed in celebrating peace to care why only two of the Sannin had returned.

Funerals, however, would soon remind them of war's cost.

After the adults left, Natsuki, dressed in mourning clothes, stayed behind. He looked towards someone, giving a Nod before heading back.

The funeral was somber, yet the weather was perfect—clear skies stretched endlessly above. Not every funeral day came with rain or dark clouds.

Ruri stood silently in front of the gravestones, her long black hair flowing freely. She carefully placed white flowers on the graves of her fallen clansmen.

According to Ruri, the war had claimed the lives of three Uchiha Jōnin, eleven Chūnin, nine Genin, and left over ten others too injured to serve as shinobi again.

Ruri showed no sadness. She was long used to losing her clansmen in battle. Every year, bodies from the Uchiha Clan returned from the frontlines.

She had also seen once-proud shinobi reduced to despair by severe injuries.

She knew that Until People existed, War would exist. She didn't waste time hoping for peace. For her, growing stronger was the only thing that mattered.

And if the Uchiha ever lost their will to pursue power, it would surely mark their end.

THE END
