Naruto: The New Sealmaster

Chapter 9: Guy sensei!

Kurenai entered the hospital room with hot food and cold beverages only to be stumped at the incredibly sweet scene in front of her. When Hinata saw it her face became flushed like a tomato.

Eventually she managed to whisper to Kurenai "Should we wake them up?" But Kurenai just set down the food on the table and brought out her camera. She snapped three photos of them and squealed a little.

"Aren't they just so cute? I almost don't want to wake them but…" She walked over to Aoshi and shook him a little. The small shaking woke them both up. Slowly, Tenten opened her eyes only to look up and meet Aoshi's.

It took her a couple of seconds to realise they had company who watched them sleep in a rather intimate fashion. She bolted up and huffed. "He was tired and we had to stick close so I could share my chakra."

Tenten was rather flustered but she pretended not to be as she sat down at the table.

Aoshi had watched her reaction unfold and laughed a little in amusement. "Hello auntie." He got up and looked towards Hinata. "Hello Hina-hime. How are you two today?"

Hinata did something that truly surprised him. She ran over and wrapped him up in a hug. Her face snuggled into his chest and she relaxed. A muffled voice spoke, "I'm better now."

Aoshi chuckled slightly but tightly wrapped his arms around the girl and kissed the top of her head. "Sorry I worried you little princess. I won't do it again." She released him from the hug and looked into his eyes with determination which showed that she took that as a promise.

Kurenai cleared her throat. "Why don't we eat together for now and talk about our days recently?"

So they sat down and that's when Aosho remembered. "Oh yeah, how is your sensei Tenten? He seemed rather...enthusiastic."

She sighed. "I only really had the one practice session with him but I can tell that it's going to be rough. He's a monster physically and wants to turn us into miniature versions of him." She shuddered at that image. "I've spent the rest of my time here so I haven't been on any missions yet. Wonder how my team is doing…"

Kurenai smiled "I saw Guy having them paint some fences yesterday so they appear to be doing fine. You have a rather loud and enthusiastic boy as your teammate as well.."

Tenten just nodded. "Yeah, Rock is like that..he comes off strange but he appears to mean well and he works harder than anyone else. I think my team will be strong eventually." She looked over at Aoshi with concern when she said that.

Aoshi chuckled at her look. "I'm sure you will, but I'll make sure to personally beat them at the chunin exam! Probably not the next one though..I don't think I'll be ready by then. I've got a lot of books to read.."

And with a chuckle at that, they began eating. During the meal, they all spoke calmly about their days just like a family would. Hinata told them about her days at the academy and her, so far, failed attempts at asking Naruto out. She had managed to sit next to him and help him out at times but long conversations or asking the question was difficult for her.

Kurenai told them that she was about to be given the title of jounin for real soon, she had been a special jounin for a long time due to her genjutsu. She would be ready to take a team next year, which made Hinata very happy. She hoped she could continue to learn under her beloved mentor.

"The only thing that has been stopping me is my failure with Kurama Yakumo. I let her down so bad that I ruined her dreams..I can't let that happen again." Seeing as his auntie was getting rather emotional about it he walked over to hug her. The best thing when dealing with sad emotions was a strong tight hug after all. She gratefully returned the hug as he whispered. "You did your best. I hope I can meet the girl and make sure she knows that one day, but until then you have to know that you're an amazing teacher. Just look at me! I'm awesome so how could my mentor be anything less?"

That got her into a bit of a chuckle. "Of course Aoshi, how could I forget your greatness." She stopped the hug to kiss him on the forehead. "Thank you. I'm glad my sister chose that bastard so I could end up with you.."

The rest of the table was just smiling at the show of familial love. They appeared to have gotten a lot closer after this incident, and Tenten and Hinata were just happy for them.

An hour or so later and they had packed up the food. Kurenai and Hinata left to get back to their duties, while Aoshi and Tenten laid back on the bed. This time they were just facing each other holding hands, talking the time away.

"You know, some day I'd like to meet your father." He raised his eyebrow at her, but she just shrugged in response. "I've only been told terrible things about him, but I've never even met the guy. My father has told me to only trust what I've seen and experienced myself, so it feels wrong to hate the man like I do."

Aoshi smiled at that last bit. "It'd be hard for me to introduce you. He doesn't want anything to do with me anymore. Might not even let me into the house actually. I just put some food money in through the mailbox nowadays.."

This had her puzzled. Why would he continue to feed his father despite him being such a terrible man? If Aoshi just chose to pay for his own food, then he wouldn't have to make as many seals a day as he does. Tenten has manned the store; she knows how many of those seals he has to make since she sells almost all of them every single day.

As if he understood what her question was, he just started answering. "He's still my father, even if he doesn't acknowledge it most days." She kept looking at him, wanting him to explain further. Aoshi sighed and turned his gaze towards the ceiling.

"My mother was a true delight. A fantastic person. If I end up like her in the future, I'll be proud and the people around me would be happy about it." He paused for a second. "But she wasn't alone in making me, you know?"

Another deep sigh was let out. "Whether I want it to be true or not, my dad, together with my mom of course, gave me life. For that, I can never repay them enough. Life is the most precious gift, the greatest sacrifice, and the most tremendous adventure possible. It is everything and he gave me that. I can't just let him die prematurely because I don't particularly like him. I must do what I can to repay him while I can."

He once again turned his head to face her. "Once I become the Head of the family I'll place him in an apartment somewhere near the pubs. I'll pay for a chef to deliver meals to him every day and a maid to come over and clean once a week. But I won't ever want to meet him again, because I can't ever forgive him for who he is."

Tenten looked rather surprised throughout most of it but when he was done, she placed a kiss on his cheek. "Sometimes I wonder if you're an old man, scarred from war. But you're really just the sweetest guy I know. Make sure the ninja life doesn't change that, okay? Promise me."

Aoshi blushed quite heavily after her kiss but broke out a large smile "I promise. Life is precious, but the people I love will always be my priority." After that, she happily got into the position they were found sleeping in earlier.

The next few hours were spent talking about their futures. Aoshi actually felt fully healed after two hours but couldn't bring himself to put an end to this so he let it go on. They slept in each other's arms that night, their bond growing even tighter.

The next day Aoshi was awakened by a medic. "Alright, you can leave now. You've made a full recovery, just make sure not to use all of your chakra at once next time." And then she left the room. She seemed rather stressed, so Aoshi didn't think much of her rather emotionless practised dismissal of him.

He checked the time and it was almost 6am, this was when Tenten's team usually met for morning practice. So he woke her up and after she did a bit of quick fixing in front of the mirror, they left for training ground three. Might Guy focused on physique at the start anyway so she wouldn't need any equipment from home.

As soon as they showed up, a loud voice interrupted their morning. "Tenten!!! You made it today" Guy, whose wide smile shone brighter than the sun, looked at Aoshi and exclaimed "Aoshi! How youthful you must be to have made an impression on Kakashi! You must train with us so we can all bask in the glory of youth together!"

Seeing Rock Lee nod passionately next to him made Aoshi chuckle a little. This was part of Kakashi's plan anyway, so he might as well start today. "Of course Guy-sensei"

Hearing that fired Guy up even more, if that was possible, and soon they were all running around a track he had set up. Everyone except Aoshi did so with extra weight added on in the form of a vest. Aoshi had trouble keeping up with even Tenten anyway.

At first Guy wondered how poor Aoshi's physique truly was but when he saw how hard Aoshi tried he started running faster and faster around the track making all sorts of noises. "Well done everyone! Just 123 laps left for Aoshi, the rest of you will run for as long as he's running. Keep it up!"

And so they ran, and ran, and ran...Halfway through, Aoshi grabbed Tenten's arm and sucked some chakra out of her so he could keep going. He slowed down more and more as time went on but he never stopped. Aoshi knew he had to do this, one way or another, and Guy was his best shot at improving this part of himself.

Aoshi didn't know how much time had gone by, but when he was finally done he fell to the ground panting heavily. His vision was blurry and he felt the taste of blood in his mouth, but he was determined to join their workouts every morning from now on.

Suddenly a familiar voice called out to him "Aoshi! I see you became familiar with Guy.." Kakashi clearly had a smug grin under that mask when he spoke about it. Aoshi nodded.

"Yeah. I have to improve my body somehow, that beast can probably make it happen.." Kakashi seemed pleased with that as he nodded. "Indeed, but now for the mind..ready to meet the Hokage?"

He groaned. "Give me a minute.." Aoshi walked into the nearby pond to wash up quickly. He then unsealed some clean clothes. He always kept quite a few sets of clothes in his seals which he almost always wore somewhere.

Quickly he changed clothes in a bush nearby, making sure Tenten wasn't around to accidentally spot him. Soon he was ready. If his hair hadn't been burnt off it would have been wet but his hairless body dried up much faster. He and Kakashi made their way to the hokage's tower to talk about his situation.
