Chapter 6: Chapter 2
"...You know what? Training is fun. I freaking love it," I said, grinning despite the exhaustion.
Sweat dripped from my face and body, my skin glistening under the dim light. My muscles ached, but in a good way—the kind of ache that told me I was getting stronger. I glanced down at my torso. My six-pack was more defined than ever, my arms felt heavier with muscle, and my stamina had skyrocketed.
It's been 38 days since I regained my memories, and in that time, I've been training like a beast. My body has undergone a ridiculous transformation, and my chakra control? Significantly improved. Even crazier, my chakra reserves have grown to insane levels.
And honestly? Shadow Clones are straight-up broken.
With them, I compressed five to six months' worth of training into just 38 days. The results speak for themselves. My chakra natures—Fire, Wind, Water, and Lightning—have all seen steady progress. I wasn't exactly surprised by my affinities. My father had Fire and Lightning, my mother had Water, and I apparently inherited Wind on my own.
My first focus was Wind Style, and it didn't take long before I got the hang of it. Lightning Style, however, was a different story—its flow was erratic, hard to control. Fire Style was stupidly easy to master (not surprising, given my father's talent in it). Water Style? I finally finished training it yesterday.
As of now, my Fire Style is completely mastered, while my other elements are about 57% complete.
And the best part? I can create 35 Shadow Clones at once. With that many, my training speed is beyond what any normal shinobi could ever achieve. If we're talking about pure jutsu proficiency, I could easily be considered a high-level Jōnin—though I lack the actual combat experience to back it up.
Let's talk numbers.
Fire Style – 12 jutsu
Lightning Style – 8 jutsu
Water Style – 7 jutsu
Wind Style – 7 jutsu
But despite all this progress, my Rasengan is pathetic. The size is pitiful—barely larger than a golf ball. It's frustrating, but I know it's because my chakra control still isn't perfect. I'll get there, though.
And don't even get me started on the Substitution Jutsu.
At first, I thought it was just an E-rank beginner jutsu, nothing special. But after some deep analysis? It's actually a space-time technique.
No one uses it properly because:
1. It requires ridiculous speed to execute under pressure.
2. Most people ignore it, thinking it's a basic jutsu.
But if you have perfect chakra control or can form hand seals insanely fast, you're basically unkillable. It's literally a teleportation technique that replaces you with a log right before impact. It's just that people either panic, don't train it properly, or—because of "plot"—simply forget to use it.
Now that I know this? Yeah, good luck trying to kill me.
With my current speed, I can form five hand seals in two seconds. That alone makes me a damn cockroach—annoying to deal with and incredibly hard to kill. Unless you're high Kage-level or Super Kage-level, you're not touching me.
Last week, we held a clan meeting—one of the most important ones in our history.
Seeing me become stronger, knowledgeable, and confident gave our people hope. Before this, the past me was… well, a moron. A lazy bastard with no ambition. The transformation was drastic, and the elders took notice.
But not everything was good news.
The new elders gave me a serious warning: Danzo and Root are watching us.
Our clan and Root have had bad blood for years, but after the Kyūbi attack? We're in our weakest position ever.
Let's break it down:
Current Clan Forces:
4 Elite Jōnin
16 Jōnin
219 Chūnin
456 Genin
67 Academy students
Losses from the Kyūbi attack:
16 Elite Jōnin
43 Jōnin
307 Chūnin
84 Genin
109 civilians
Massive. Fucking. Loss.
And to make matters worse? I've been a Genin for two and a half years. That's a humiliation for our clan. Historically, our clan has only ever had Kage-level leaders, and now? The heir of the clan is stuck as a lowly Genin.
It's embarrassing. A disgrace.
But here's the thing—I don't care about titles.
I care about getting stronger and ensuring that our clan survives and thrives.
The only silver lining is that most of our members are still young and talented. Our oldest clan member? He's only 37, and he's already an elder. That says a lot about our situation.
But if they think our clan is going to stay weak forever, they're dead wrong.
I'm going to change that. I'll make sure of it.
