Shiki's explanations of the thoughts behind the development of Flicker Flash were indeed a shock to Mito but he was only getting started on updating the Uzumaki matriarch's definition of talent.

If Flicker Flash, a clever and highly skilled implementation of conceptually simple jutsu like Body Flicker and Chakra Enhanced Strength was shocking and hard to master for most people indeed but if a genius young Jonin came up with the idea, Mito would only be mildly impressed.

If it was a Hyuga who, by virtue of his clan's specialty chakra control and tenketsu manipulation capabilities, had an innate advantage for creating and mastery this type of jutsu, her amazement would be even less.

It was merely Shiki's age and background that made the feat so impressive.

Now, what if he revealed a truly revolutionary jutsu, with no conceptual basis and just pure geniality and talent behind its creation?

"Anyway, that was just a side project since I felt Body Flicker could be more optimized for battle because the normal version seemed more like a long distance traversal jutsu to me." Shiki dismissively said.

'This boy . . . When he gets going and just spits out everything in his mind without a filter, some really offensive things inadvertently come out.' Mito thought.

She couldn't really blame him, Shiki was a very polite young boy even if he seemingly avoided lying as the redhead and not sensed a single lie from him ever but that meant he worded his truthful thoughts in a nicer way so they would not offend.

But now that he was excitedly talking about his passion, he casually dismissed what could easily be a Special Jonin's claim to fame, an extremely effective original jutsu, as a mere side project that he gave a bit of thought to while working on what the boy considered "real projects".

'But this also means he has yet to fully relax and let himself go around me . . .' Mito lamented.

'Managing to get him to pour out his passion for jutsu like this is definitely a step in the right direction however.'

Despite the various thoughts going through her head, the Uzumaki matriarch made sure to pay the utmost attention to Shiki's words, not just because he was saying truly important things but also because she wished to grow closer to the boy and did not want to seem inattentive.

It might have discouraged Shiki from being that sharing with her again after all.

"Anyway, my breathing technique is much more interesting. I think it's definitely good enough to be considered my very own Hidden Jutsu." The white haired boy claimed with the utmost self assurance, he was quite proud of it.

"I call it the Three Bodies Breathing Method because it is split into three parts, the body, the spirit and the soul though I have no idea how to develop that last part." Shiki began.

"Even before Mito-sama adopted me, I had already developed the first part, which I called Breath of Yang, that activates the physical body, enhancing strength, agility, endurance, stamina, senses, reflexes and so on."

"Then following the principle that a healthy body contributes towards a healthy mind, I created the second part of the technique to enhance the mind and spirit through the body, creating the Breath of Yin-Yang."

The boy continued, unaware that explosions were continuously sounding in Mito's mind.

"The balanced enhancement of body and mind promoted a natural amplification of my physical and spiritual energies which inter promoted to achieve an even higher boost than I predicted and greatly boosted my chakra potency and control."

"Are there any downsides?" The Uzumaki matriarch quickly interjected with a question, the slight wavering in her voice going unnoticed as Shiki mentally immersed himself in his theories while explaining.

He still heard the question however.

"Not really, I can only use it for a limited time and when it ends I feel weak but that is more of a subconscious response from the body's fall in effectiveness than actual exhaustion. If the method is properly mastered, it can be seamlessly maintained at all times." Shiki explained.

"With enough conditioning, this will be the case even when sleeping or unconscious. I believe this will also promote greater and faster physical and spiritual improvement as it will be like one is training at all times." He concluded.

The pride and satisfaction with his first creation in this new life and world, plain to see. It was truly like a child bragging to their parents about something they learned.

Mito would have definitely found it quite adorable if she was not frozen in shock and disbelief.

Jutsu for temporary self enhancement were not that rare.

When Shiki demonstrated an increase in physical abilities and chakra, Mito thought it was yet another of his ingenious inventions but just a method of temporary enhancement that was on the weaker end but with little downsides to worry about.

Never could she have imagined it was such an outrageous technique.

'Its effects are surprising enough but the fact that there are no demerits and that maintaining it at all times is in fact beneficial . . . That is the true value of this jutsu.' Mito thought to herself.

'But above all that . . . How did he even come up with such a thing? And even if the idea came to him, how did he even start to implement it?'

The Uzumaki matriarch could only shake off the shock and organize her thoughts into questions to try and grasp just how Shiki's brain functioned.

"Well, breathing exercises for physical and mental health are just a basic and common idea so I thought about refining that concept into a jutsu." Shiki casually explained how he got the idea in the first place.

"As for the implementation, it was not easy. I just tried various breathing methods I felt were right and carefully inspected the effects on my chakra flow. After a lot of trial and error, I started to physically improve faster and recover energy more quickly." He revealed.

'Does that even work!?' Mito questioned herself.

She wholeheartedly believed things only worked out because Shiki was not only good at jutsu development from a technical and theoretical perspective like the redhead previously thought, but also inhumanly good and intuiting the best path forward to implement his dangerous ideas.

There were plenty of reasons to conclude she was right as well, chiefly among them being that no one else would be able to create revolutionary jutsu just like that.

After a couple more questions to try and figure out the situation fully, Shiki ended up just teaching how to do the jutsu to his mistress.

Predictably, Mito could not enter the state immediately but just by following the steps she could feel her physical energy stirring, proving the effectiveness of the technique.

'A jutsu that provides significant enhancement to physical and spiritual energies proportional to the user's own physical and spiritual potential, costs no chakra to maintain and even speeds up chakra recovery and automatically trains the body and spirit while maintained.'

'Not only that, since it is a breathing technique, a user can condition themselves to adopt it as their default breathing state even while unconscious allowing for continuous self training while regular training will have its effectiveness and efficiency increased . . .'

Mito just could not believe it.

Talent did not explain this kind of thing.

Shiki had claimed it was worthy of being called a hidden jutsu but the Uzumaki matriarch knew most hidden jutsu were not worthy of being put in the same category.

'For this boy . . . His "Talent" requires an entirely separate definition. But first . . .'

"Shiki, pay attention and listen closely." Mito spoke with seriousness in her mature and still gentle tone.

'I must make him understand just what he created and the consequences if such a jutsu is made public, not even the training method, merely the characteristics being spread is enough to bring about a whole lot of danger.' The Uzumaki matriarch solemnly thought.
