Chapter 3: Training Chakra Control
Yasu went to the Forest of Death using a secret passage that Guy had shown him, one that wasn't guarded by Konoha shinobi. This way, no one would know that Yasu had ventured into this forbidden area.
Yasu didn't start training immediately as he usually did. This time, he wanted to focus on improving his chakra control. After all, a shinobi must learn to control their chakra to perform more jutsu efficiently without wasting too much chakra.
It wasn't as if Yasu hadn't tried to improve his chakra control before. The problem was that he didn't have enough chakra to even attempt walking on trees, let alone walking on water. With such a small chakra reserve, it had been impossible to improve his control.
But now, with a chakra level equivalent to a chunin's, he finally had enough to start working on his control. After awakening the Sharingan Kekkei Genkai, he could already feel that his chakra control had naturally improved.
Yasu sat on the ground and began meditating to sense how his chakra felt after the significant enhancements. Soon, he was amazed to feel the vast amount of chakra flowing through all his chakra pathways.
It was completely different from what Yasu had felt before. He also sensed that his meridians and chakra pathways had grown stronger, likely due to the strengthening of his body.
Focusing, Yasu recalled the lessons from the ninja academy on chakra control. After a few minutes, he was surprised to find that he could easily perform basic chakra control.
With this success, Yasu decided to begin the challenging training of climbing trees using only chakra on his feet. Carefully channeling chakra to his feet, he started climbing a tree.
He managed to take a few steps and was astonished by his progress. However, his surprise caused him to lose control of his chakra, breaking the part of the tree he was climbing. He ended up falling to the ground.
The fall didn't discourage Yasu because he realized that climbing trees seemed much easier than he had expected, even with the chakra control boost granted by the Sharingan Kekkei Genkai.
After all, even Sasuke, who was a genius among the Uchiha with a very pure lineage, had struggled just as much as Naruto when he first trained to climb a tree.
Yasu tried several more times, and with each attempt, he managed to climb higher on the tree he was training with. Although he fell each time, his well-trained body allowed him to twist and land on his feet without getting hurt.
This made Yasu think that perhaps his years of rigorous training and stronger body compared to Sasuke's at that age were helping him better control his chakra output and, consequently, achieve improved chakra control.
After many hours of training, Yasu was almost able to reach the top of the tree, but his chakra was nearly depleted. He realized he was wasting a lot of chakra in his attempts to climb.
This led Yasu to recognize that he had less chakra than Sasuke did when he first became a genin. After all, Sasuke was able to train all day and even keep up with Naruto, who had an enormous amount of chakra.
Accepting this, Yasu decided not to wait for his chakra to recover. Instead, he shifted his focus to taijutsu training, as he always did, to continue strengthening himself. This way, he would be ready to master tree climbing the following day.
Yasu started with push-ups as usual, but he quickly realized that even after completing 300 push-ups, he didn't feel tired. This helped him understand why he had often seen Guy doing over a thousand push-ups with ease.
Yasu knew that Guy always used weights on his arms and legs to make his training even more effective. Inspired, Yasu pushed himself further and found that even after hours of training, he wasn't tired, even after completing 3,000 push-ups.
Seeing that training without weights wouldn't yield much progress, Yasu decided to return to the village before the ninja tool shops closed to buy weights for his arms and legs.
Upon arriving at the shop, Yasu was relieved to find that no one he knew was there. He quickly went to look at the training weights he had often seen Guy use.
Yasu knew that the actual weight of the training equipment was only 1 kg, but **fuuinjutsu** was used on these weights. He also knew that Guy trained with 3,000 kg on each arm and leg, totaling 12,000 kg.
This made Yasu realize that even with his six years of training rewarded by the system, he was nowhere near as strong as Guy. After all, Guy had continuously increased the weight of his training over the years, making his efforts more effective.
Yasu picked up a 500 kg weight to see if he could lift it. He managed to do so with great effort, which left him a bit disappointed—he thought his body would be much stronger than that.
He then tried the 400 kg weights and found he could handle them with less difficulty. Yasu decided to put a 400 kg weight on each leg and arm, testing his ability to move. Although it was challenging, he was still able to walk.
Yasu knew it would be tough to train immediately with these weights, but since he didn't have extra money to buy smaller weights and gradually increase them, he decided it was better to invest in the 400 kg weights, which would last longer.
After purchasing the four weights, Yasu left the shop with them strapped to his arms and legs, eager to begin training. If his calculations were correct, this training with heavier weights would be far more efficient than his previous efforts.
This improvement could allow him to increase the purity of his bloodline much faster. Perhaps, with this approach, he wouldn't need three more years to reach the minimum purity required to activate the Sharingan.
