Two days had passed, and I was showered with extreme care and love under my grandfather and grandmother's care. Uncle Ashina also spent a significant amount of time with me, somehow making me feel even more at home. Although I did miss my elder brothers, the warmth of my family here made the separation more bearable.

.

.

Today was no exception, as I spent time with my grandmother, listening to various stories of her past. Her experiences enriched my knowledge, providing me with more information about the shinobi world and its deadly nature.

.

.

"...so at that time, I thought the seals were misplaced, then I immediately informed your grand—" Grandma continued to recount her past adventures when the sound of footsteps echoed outside, growing louder.

.

.

The door swung open, and my mom stepped in, her eyes fixed on me with a frustrated glare. She then turned to Grandma, her voice stern. "Mom, you're spoiling Tatsuya a lot. And you, young boy, didn't we have a conversation yesterday that today we would be starting your calligraphy lessons... Huh?"

.

.

Sensing danger, I instinctively crawled to Grandma's back on the bed, seeking refuge. It may have seemed childish, but I couldn't help myself ,ya know. If you had been in my position, you would have done the same. Why? Because right now, my mom was glaring at me as if she would skin me alive.

.

.

Scared, I muttered in a pleading voice, "Grandma, save me! I totally forgot about the part that today my calligraphy lessons will start, huuu!"

.

.

"Now, now, Aina dear, it's alright for him to have fun. He's only two years old, ya know." Grandma chimed in, moving to hug me as if reluctant to let me go.

.

.

Sensing I might be saved, I attempted to give my mom a smirk, as if to say, "See, I'm saved, hmph." However, I'm pretty sure it came out more adorable than smug.

.

.

"Damn this body," I cursed internally, frustrated with my inability to convey a tougher expression.

.

.

My mom caught my gaze and understood its meaning. It was as if she had taken a challenge from it. She strode forward, grabbed my back collar, and yanked me out of Grandma's loving embrace.

.

.

"Hihi, now let's go. Learning how to write with distinguished and beautiful calligraphy is just the first step for you to learn Fuinjutsu," my mom said with a smirk, taking me away from Grandma and moving towards the door.

.

.

I tried to stretch my hand towards Grandma, pleading for her to save me, but she waved her hand, saying, "Bye, little Tatsuya. Work hard, hahaha."

.

.

'Another betrayal,' I thought, though a part of me was excited, knowing this was the first major step towards gaining strength in the shinobi world.

Sitting on my mom's bed, a small table was placed in front of me. I tried to make sense of the words and replicate them on a sheet of paper. I held an ancient pen, which looked like the mid-stem of a feather, in my hand. The pen needed to be dipped in ink to be functional.

.

.

Carefully, I replicated the 'kanji ' letters on the sheet, giving it my all, though my small hands struggled to create perfect letters.

.

.

"No, no, boy, that's wrong. You need to make it clearer, and just why are your hands shaking so much? Try to keep it still," my mom instructed, still holding the red scroll from the previous night. She was multitasking, as usual.

.

.

A few hours passed, and my hands moved with increasing grace as I practiced my calligraphy. I took breaks in between, including a lunch break with everyone just half an hour ago.

.

.

As I focused on my writing, a thought struck me: now that I'm finally learning something useful, I'll soon start chakra exercises along with physical training, which will make me stronger.

.

.

More thoughts filled my head as I contemplated my future, wondering what I would do and how I would face the problems and wars awaiting me.

.

.

My mom's voice snapped me out of my reverie, reprimanding and questioning me, "Tatsuya, are you not paying attention... Hmm? What were you thinking just now?"

.

.

Looking at my mother, I asked her another question instead of answering, "Mom, didn't you tell me that after arriving in Uzushiogakure, you would test and determine whether I can open my chakra pathways by the age of three... So why haven't you tested me regarding it and also researched more about my eyes?" My eyes shone as I looked at her, trying to appeal to her with a puppy-like expression.

.

.

.

Aina was taken aback by my question and, recalling that her mother had refused to let Tatsuya step into the realm of chakra until the age of five, looked torn as to what to tell her child.

.

.

My mom's expression became helpless, and as if finally making a decision, she told me while her hand caressed my red head, "Well, boy, you won't be opening your chakra pathways before the age of five... So you should forget about it for now. As for physical practice, let's wait a bit... For the meantime, you should try to know more about the uses of ocular powers and focus on perfecting calligraphy."

.

.

Disappointment flickered on my face as I was about to ask her why, but then a thought struck me ' Uchiha Itachi, a famed ninja in the future, had opened his chakra pathways early and learned to perform the fireball jutsu at the age of four. However, he was somehow weakened in his teens due to a a lung related bloodline disease that slowly chipped his life away. This made me think that although such scenarios were rare, there was still a possibility that it could happen to me, early access to chakra may not be a good thing. '

.

.

Once again, I heard my mom's voice, snapping me out of my thoughts, "What are you thinking again... And no questions as to why I'm not allowing you... All you need to know is that this is for your good." I hummed, though a dejected expression covered my face.

.

.

My mom, seeing that I was sad, immediately pulled me into a hug, trying to comfort me. I said nothing because, although it made me disappointed, it wasn't all that bad. I knew that in future except for clan ninjas, other civilians will open their chakra pathways around the age of six or seven.

.

.

The lessons ended as soon as the sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the landscape.

.

.

My mom told me that I was free to go wherever I wanted, and although I understood the reasoning behind not starting chakra exercises soon, a part of me was still sad.

.

.

I decided to take a walk outside to clear my head. The house was surrounded by a dense forest, with a few smaller houses scattered in the distance.

.

.

I wandered into the forest, the trees towering above me like sentinels. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the chirping of birds.

.

.

As the sun dipped lower in the sky, the forest took on a magical quality. The trees cast long shadows, and the rustling of leaves sounded like whispers in the wind. I followed the sound of rushing water, my feet leading me to a breathtaking waterfall.

.

.

The waterfall cascaded down a rocky slope, creating a misty veil that surrounded me like a cool embrace. The sound of the water was mesmerizing, and I felt my worries wash away with the flowing water.

.

.

The rocks surrounding the waterfall were neatly arranged, creating a natural amphitheater that amplified the sound of the water.

.

.

As I stood there, entranced by the beauty of nature, a shadow moved towards me from my right side. It was slow and deliberate, and my eyes turned towards it, curious. That's when I saw her – the cutest creature I had ever laid eyes on.

.

.

Her hair was styled in two little red buns, which rested on her head like a crown, captivating me with her charm. Her brown eyes stared at me as she continued moving towards me.
