Naruto: Tenseigan Eye

Chapter 529: Chapter 529

Uchiha Madara opened his eyes and fixated on the weapon in Shinki's hand.

"I can sense the threat this weapon poses to me," he said with a measured tone, betraying neither fear nor anger.

Floating mid-air, Shinki gazed down at Madara with an expression devoid of emotion. "Your instincts serve you well. While the Impure World Reincarnation technique grants immense power, it carries critical weaknesses—one of which is its vulnerability to certain attacks."

He paused, motioning to the weapon he held. "For instance, the Truth-Seeking Orbs."

The Truth-Seeking Orbs weren't exclusive to the Rinnegan; wielders of the Tenseigan also possessed access to these powerful constructs. Shinki's weapon, shaped like a golden staff, was a manifestation of the Truth-Seeking Orbs, modified to align with the unique properties of the Tenseigan.

Although their forms varied slightly, the destructive capability of the orbs remained consistent.

"Is that so?" Madara said, nodding as though carefully considering Shinki's words. He appeared neither shaken nor surprised, his faint smile betraying curiosity rather than concern. "It's true that in this state, even brushing against a Truth-Seeking Orb would disintegrate my body."

He chuckled, his voice tinged with amusement. "Black Zetsu was right to regard you as my greatest obstacle. The Tenseigan—impressive as it is—won't guarantee your victory." His tone sharpened, and his arms spread wide as his chakra flared. "But remember, I am no ordinary foe."

For Madara, powerful adversaries didn't instill fear; they reignited his passion for battle. Shinki had joined a very short list of individuals capable of making Madara feel truly alive.

"Hahaha! A duel between the Rinnegan and the Tenseigan?" Madara exclaimed, tilting his head back in exhilaration. "This will be exhilarating. Come, Shinki! Let's see who stands atop this world!"

The Third Raikage and the other Kage exchanged nervous glances from a distance, their expressions a mix of disbelief and apprehension.

"Boom!!!"

Madara unleashed a wave of chakra, forming his fully realized Susanoo. The massive purple construct, clad in intricate armor and wielding an enormous glowing blade, towered over the battlefield like a mountain brought to life.

Once the transformation was complete, Madara cast a disdainful glance toward the Third Raikage, Onoki, and the other Kage, smirking with contempt. "Ants," he muttered under his breath.

"???"

The insult was a blow to their pride. The Third Raikage's face darkened, his fists clenching in anger as he prepared to retaliate.

Before any of them could act, Madara swiftly performed a series of hand seals, his Susanoo mirroring the movements.

"Summoning Technique!"

Thick smoke erupted, and when it dissipated, the colossal Outer Path Demon Statue stood alongside Susanoo, its terrifying presence magnified by a low, guttural roar.

"Roar!!!"

The Demon Statue charged forward, targeting the Third Raikage and the other Kage. Its earth-shaking steps sent tremors across the battlefield.

"Watch out!" Shinki called out, but the Kage had already scattered, each retreating in a different direction. Seeing their flight, the Demon Statue roared again and began its relentless pursuit.

Satisfied that the Kage were preoccupied, Madara turned his focus back to Shinki. His smile widened.

"Now that the pests are occupied, we can truly begin."

Hovering in the air, Shinki couldn't help but inwardly scoff. The Outer Path Demon Statue, the vessel of the Ten Tails, reduced to nothing more than a distraction? If Kaguya Otsutsuki could witness this, she'd likely be fuming.

Shinki opted to trust the Kage to keep the Demon Statue at bay. Though they couldn't defeat it, they were strong enough to stall it for a time.

"Let's see if you can live up to your own hype," Shinki said, raising his golden lightsaber—a weapon forged from the Truth-Seeking Orbs—as Madara's Susanoo drew its massive blade.

"Hahahaha! Come!" Madara roared, swinging the glowing blade of his Susanoo toward Shinki with devastating force.

Shinki's lightsaber met the strike head-on.

The clash of the two weapons created a deafening explosion, and the resulting shockwave rippled outward, shaking the earth and sky. Shinki darted away from the blast radius, while Madara's Susanoo stumbled slightly, its immense feet leaving craters in the ground.

"Boom!!!"

The shockwave sheared off the peak of the mountain, sending debris raining down across the battlefield. Rocks and boulders hurtled in all directions, threatening to crush anything in their path.

"What the hell is this?!" the Third Raikage exclaimed, narrowly dodging a massive boulder. He punched the Demon Statue in frustration before retreating further.

Onoki and the Third Kazekage took to the skies, avoiding the destruction below. Meanwhile, Yagura looked around in despair.

"You could've taken me with you!!!" he shouted after them, frustrated by his lack of mobility. Forced to remain on the ground, he sprinted toward the Demon Statue, using its massive body as a shield against the falling debris.

The Demon Statue roared in anger, swiping at the rocks bombarding its frame. Yagura crouched beneath its legs, gritting his teeth.

"A bunch of selfish bastards," he muttered. "Leaving me behind like this!"

Above, Onoki surveyed the scene, his expression grim. The mountain was now unrecognizable, its peak reduced to rubble.

"Too dangerous," Onoki murmured, his voice shaking. Any thoughts of confronting Madara had evaporated.

Damn it. We're not even in the same league. Trying to challenge him? What a joke.

Shinki remained calm despite the chaos. With a steady grip on his lightsaber, he prepared for the next exchange. Madara's smirk hadn't faded, but Shinki knew this wasn't a fight of equals. Each strike carried the weight of the ninja world's fate, and there was no room for error.

This was no ordinary battle. It was a clash between gods.
