The next morning, Gu Xingxi awoke from his sleep, touched Bai Qian's tail on a whim, and then proceeded to wash up.
Bai Qian grumbled, "Who understands family? Here I am, fast asleep, and some pervert has to touch my tail. Touching is one thing, but he even woke me up—who understands this?"
After freshening up, Gu Xingxi flew towards the forest Orochimaru had mentioned the day before.
Gu Xingxi, utilizing his 3D Maneuver Gear, soared through Konoha, catching the eyes of passersby.
"This is the kind of attention I'm talking about," he mused to himself.
Upon arriving at the designated location, he found that Orochimaru and Tobirama Senju were already there.
"Did you forget my gear?" Orochimaru asked.
Wincing at the sacrifice, Gu Xingxi reluctantly took out a 3D Maneuver Gear that needed its blades refilled—financed by a painful 500-point loan from the system.
"Of course not, Master Orochimaru. How could I forget?" Gu Xingxi replied, handing over the newly exchanged device from the system store.
Orochimaru, curious about how Gu Xingxi had magically produced the gear but seeing a device worth studying in his hands, didn't press further.
"Now, with the Hidden Rain Village and Hidden Sand Village declaring war on Konoha, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Danzo will oversee the battlefield at the Hidden Rain Village," Orochimaru briefed. "To the east, Hatake Sakumo will guard against the Hidden Sand Village to prevent another surprise attack from the Third Kazekage. We need to repel the Hidden Rain Village and guard against a sneak attack from the Hidden Sand Village, not to mention staying alert for potential threats from the Hidden Cloud and Hidden Rock Villages. The leader of the Hidden Rain Village, Hanzo, is particularly troublesome, so everyone needs to watch their backs—especially you, Tobirama."

Without hesitation, Tobirama threw his notebook at Gu Xingxi, ran up to Orochimaru, and clung to his leg, sobbing, "I knew you loved me, Master!"
Orochimaru, visibly annoyed, kicked him away. "Stop it. Just sign the summoning contract first."
Orochimaru then summoned a small white snake, which transformed into a scroll. "Sign your name here," he instructed.
After Tobirama had signed his name and stamped his handprint on the contract, Orochimaru called Gu Xingxi over to sign as well.
Before Gu Xingxi could refuse, a cloud of white smoke erupted. Using a Wind Release, Orochimaru dispersed the smoke, revealing Tobirama sitting on the ground and a distant, colossal purple entity: the Myriad Snakes.
"What do you want with me this time, Orochimaru? You better have a hundred live sacrifices ready," the Myriad Snakes demanded.
"It's not me; it's my disciple. I never expected him to have such immense chakra," Orochimaru explained.
"Which one, the white-haired or the black-haired with the mushroom haircut?" asked the Myriad Snakes.
Before Orochimaru could reply, the Myriad Snakes sensed a powerful murderous intent from Bai Qian, who had appeared on Gu Xingxi's shoulder to watch the excitement.
Sensing the threat, the Myriad Snakes lunged at Gu Xingxi, but Orochimaru quickly attempted to sever the summoning contract and send it back.
However, before he could complete the seal, he too felt the intense killing intent. It was Bai Qian, now gigantic, who with a swipe of her tail, smashed the Myriad Snakes into the ground.
As Bai Qian dug the Myriad Snakes out of the earth, mocking him, "Reptile, why interrupt your performance to come here?"
Gu Xingxi hadn't expected Bai Qian to intervene; he was about to activate his Mangekyo Sharingan to transport the Myriad Snakes away.
Orochimaru and Tobirama were stunned as a white nine-tailed fox appeared out of nowhere and instantly subdued the Myriad Snakes.
Seeing this, Gu Xingxi quickly intervened, "Master Orochimaru, this is my summoning beast, Little White, a manifestation of the deity Bai Qian."
Hearing this, Orochimaru relaxed and used the summoning to send the unconscious Myriad Snakes back.
"Seems you have a more powerful summoning beast," Orochimaru noted, wiping sweat from his brow. "You all go home and rest. Pack up; we're heading to the battlefield tomorrow." Without waiting for a response, he walked away.
As Orochimaru left, Gu Xingxi summoned Bai Qian back and flew home with his 3D Maneuver Gear.
Tobirama, getting up from the ground, muttered, "I need to go back and ask Uzumaki Kushina if Kurama has any relatives."
Meanwhile, Orochimaru headed straight to the Third Hokage's office to report Bai Qian's situation and inform him about taking Gu Xingxi as his apprentice, opting for action before approval.
