Naruto: Snow Cold

Chapter 17: Bonding

"My memories so good and awful it seems, they gave me a grudge~ But i have left bitterness and resentment behind me, and it is all thanks to him~"

I sang quietly to myself as I felt the warm water rain down on me. Showers are nice.

It turns out I have a pretty nice voice in this body, unlike in my past life. I loved many artists, but one stood out in particular: AmaLee. Her songs were always amazing. I literally memorized so many of her covers, lyric by lyric. Too much of a fan, maybe? I don't know.

I applied shampoo to my hair and kept scrubbing it as I sang. I rinsed the suds off while enjoying the steam. I should get out soon, don't wanna waste too much water.

I turned it off, and began drying myself and my hair, putting my clothes on and straightening my hair. I got out, and saw my father waiting for me along with my mother at the table.

"Looking fresh, Amai." He said cheerfully.

"Thanks." I grinned.

"I heard from Hikari here that you have figured out your affinities, is that true?"

"...Yeah, apparently i've got an affinity to Water, Wind, and Ice?"

"Care to show me really quick?" He pulled out a very familiar paper. I knew what to do.

"Mm!" I nodded and grabbed it when he lent it to me, and pushed my chakra like before, causing the same reaction.

'I see. I will definitely try my hardest to train her, even with my limited time. Personal tutors are expensive... I'll try to at least make her learn a few wind and water jutsus, but before that... Taijutsu,' He thought, before exclaiming in amazement, "That's amazing, kid. I can already tell you're gonna get far."

Kid?! You piece of... Ugh, just take the compliment.

"Hehehe..."

"Amai, how do you feel about training with me? I'll rent some training grounds. They're gonna be a little expensive, but we should manage."

This soon?! Fuck, yes! Of course, why would i say no to that?!

"I'd love to, dad!"

"Great. How about you join us at the table? I'd like to spend some time with you."

I approached them, and took a seat.

"We haven't really told you anything about us besides our names, didn't we? Let's start with myself. As you know, my name's Jun Hashimoto. I like spending time with my friends, training and learning new jutsu whenever i get the chance. I dislike those who abandon their comrades. My dream for the future is to become at the very least an Elite Chuunin, or a Jounin."

"Whoa, cool! What can an Elite Chuunin do?!" I asked excitedly. I was genuinely curious about what the rank allowed you to do. Maybe it's the same as in my memories?

He chuckled, "Many great things Amai, for example, i'll be stronger, and be able to access much more jutsu than before, and get better missions."

Huh. Not much information, but it'll do.

"What about you mom?"

"Hmmm.. I guess you could say I like teaching, eating good food, and spending time with my loved ones. I dislike onions because they make me cry, and i absolutely despise bad people, you know, criminals. My dream for the future... I want to become a teacher at the academy one day."

"Really? I think you'd do an excellent job at it. I learned to throw the cool stars and the kunai so fast because of you, mom."

"Hang on, you learned what?!" my dad exclaimed, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Oh dear, I wanted to keep it a surprise!" She replied, a playful grin spreading across her face.

I chuckled softly, and we continued our conversation, dragging it on.

Eventually, night descended, and the moon emerged, casting a gentle glow across the sky, its silvery light illuminating the world below.

It was time for us to sleep, and so, we did. Tomorrow is a new day... I'll make sure to try my hardest to get stronger, so that I can keep everyone that i love, safe.

I got under the covers of my own bed, and closed my eyes, exhausted from today's events. Darkness soon covered my vision, and then, I lost consciousness...

This void, again. Honestly, i've gotten used to it at this point, but maybe... Just maybe, I can try something new.

I focused on myself as much as i could, trying to create something. If this is my dreamworld, then i must have some power over it, especially with my experience using the Leaf Technique.

Goddamn it, no luck. I'll keep trying...

And then, a familiar room materialized itself around me. I could actually touch and feel it. My room from my past life! My bed, my computer, my shelves, my snacking area... Everything was there. Too bad I can't really eat in a dream. Or do anything for that matter.

Either way, this means I don't have to see the void as often, so that's nice.

Tomorrow is a new day, I guess.
