[Konoha]

The situation was not peaceful to put it nicely, after the death of all the real decision-makers in the village after the death of third Hokage was like a bomb.

A bomb which never blasted but internally made more noise than anyone could have anticipated.

Due to the power-hoarding mentality of the village upper management, mainly the Konoha four, the inner workings of the village was always been kept among that four old man.

And now that they were gone, their deeds have been unveiling in front of everyone, almost like the dead coming out of their graves.

From simple corruption to assassinating their own village shinobi, there was nothing that those old fossiles haven't done.

Of course, after the dead of Third Hokage, his three dear friends kept on working on behind the scene to keep this thing as secrets.

However, after their death and thanks to Danzo's paranoid habit of keeping evidence of their dark dealings, so just when the situation demans he can blackmail even those dear friends of his… now the entire village was in uproar.

The info Shika gave to Tsunade was enough to erupt a civil war in the village. She had no other option but to withhold the information back, no matter how much she wanted to dug out those elders body from their grave, that one forbidden technique just to bring them back and leave them to villagers capable hands.

After the said villagers learn how their relatives died in the last war, or the one before that.

"Sigh… why that bastard gave me this, rather take me along. At least I didn't had to sit in this darn chair and deal with those bloody elders "For Konoha" actions…" Tsunade massaged her temples while sitting on the Hokage office. She was alone and only Shizune was allowed to enter during these turbulent times.

Does she wanted to deal with those damn Elders black history? No

Did she want to become the Hokage ? Hell Nah…

However, she had no other option, becuase if she don't act up now, the entire village would be in a complete disarray.

Just the fact that Village secretly experimented on both Hyuga and Uchiha was alone was enough to start a civil war. And that when one of those clan had already ceased to exist.

"Lady Tsuande…" Just as Tsunade was drowning at her own sorrows, a piecing sound disturbed her from her self loathing for her situation.

"What it is Shizune, if it's those clan elders offering to help out the village by taking control of any major OR minor department then politely send them back.

And if there is anyone from either, Shimura, Mitokado or Utatane clan the kick them out of the hokage office." Tsunade said, the last part definitely felt personal. Her tone was both angry and threatening since for the last few days, this was what she was dealing with.

Another headache of being a Hokage. She literally had to do anything and everything in this village now. Sigh… she was tired, he body craved for a drink now why her heart wants to burn money…Cough Cough… Gamble…

"No Lady Tsunade. It's not them." Shizune gave a little wary smile. Tsunade wasn't the only one who was working hard recently. She being the Hokage secretary now was equally busy.

"Then who ?" Tsunade asked, no longer interested and just want to go back to her work. The faster she complete it the faster she will be free. Becuase she tried delaying, avoiding or even delegating before and none worked.

"Its Hinata…."

"Hinata ? What the Hyuga princess doing here ?" Tsunade wasn't taken a back…

She looked back at her paper work and shook her head, whatever keep her away from this paperwork is a mercy from Sage at this point.

"Bring her in…"

"Hinata, what are you doing here ?" Tsunade asked, still not sure what the nervous fidgeting girl was here for.

"Hmm Hokage Sama, I..I..I wanted to ask about Shika Kun…he took a mission some time ago but still haven't come back." She asked with trembling voice, though she was way more confident from what she used to be, however, this was still the new Hokage and one of the sannin she was talking about.

More than anything, even Hinata knew that the village was in turmoil. In this situation asking the Hokage for anything could be self fish, but she came nonetheless.

Tsunade just blink, taking too much time to register what Hinata just said. But when she did, a tick mark form on her forehead.

'That kid again. So this is his little girlfriend is it. That bastard really aim high, princess of Hyuga clan…' Tsunade's face started to twist and turn, it was hard to handle her temper right now. But in front of Hinata she had to.

She remember reading in the letter Shika left her, to cover up for him if she ain't gonna send Anbu after him.

'The nerve of that kid, asking that when he was responsible for my current situation…but…

"Ah, you must be talking about Shika Nara right…." Tsunade cough and calm down.

"Ah yes… Hokage Sama…" Hinata immediately nodded.

"Ahem… Shika Nara is on a secret mission to find the person responsible for what happened few days ago in the village. Usually this information is not something which others should know but due to the time urgency back then, he didn't get time to tell this to anyone.

Remember to keep this information to yourself…" Tsunade quickly come up with a excuse. Grumbling internally, she covered for him in the end.

"Oh,… Hmmso Shika Kun is on a mission. When…" Hinata was saying something but that was when suddenly the office door was push open and from outside came team 7. Or at least what left of it.

"Kakashi, why you are here.." Tsunade was now more annoyed.

By Kakashi's face alone she could tell that this was trouble.

Grandma Tsunade, why you send Sasuke on a long term mission." And sure enough, the blond shouted out. It was Naruto who just learned that Sasuke Uchiha will no longer be a part of team 7 for some time by Kakashi.

Kakashi himself was confuse when Tsunade first told him about Sasuke.

Of he didn't took her on face value, alrady knowing that something else was going on but he still haven't gotten the real reason why Sasuke was away from the village ?

'Sigh… A drink just about now would be nice…' Tsunade muttered with clear irritation after seeing Naruto jumping around the office and making noise, complaining about Sasuke getting a super cool Ninja mission why him still needing to follow Kakashi.

Of course, for Naruto this was a competition against Sasuke.

[Outskirts Of Waves]

"What are you doing here ?" Haku ask seeing the familiar face in front of him.

Haku gave a lot of thought to what Shika told him yesterday... So much so that he couldn't even sleep at night.

But no matter how much thought he gave, he couldn't decide. But the moment he open he found someone outside.

Alert he too took the kunai and came out to confront the enemy only to see a familiar face.

"Hehehehehehe…. Sorry I didn't say this but I'm one of those annoying types, I will keep annoying you until you join…." Shika grinned as he was already making barbecue, even made some for Haku.
