Naruto: Senmei Asahi

Chapter 16: Chapter 016: Return

"Anyways, this time, thanks to Asahi's actions, we were able to control the situation. So, after returning to Konoha, let's all go to eat barbecue!" Ueno suggested.

"Great!"

"Hell yeah!"

After this time's mission, Asahi found that his relationship with the three people in his team had gotten closer. The three of them had also accepted him, and their attitude was not anywhere as cold as it was when they first meet.

Although a little curious about the purpose of those sand ninja gathered in the Land of Rain, Asahi understood the rules and did not ask Ueno. To a village, a ninja was just a tool, and just the completion of the assigned mission was good enough. As for any extra things, if you don't need to know, then it is better to not ask about anything unnecessary as much as possible.

Anyway, according to the original story, Konoha should soon be at war with Sunagakure. How to survive that war was the first real issue that Asahi had to consider now.

After handling the corpse of the Sunagakure ninjas, Ueno took the team back to Konoha. Along the way, Shinohara and Keita acted really close to Asahi, this encounter let them understand that this companion was trustable, and so for the same reason they turned curious about him.

The most important thing in the ninja world was strength. Judging from his performance today, if he doesn't suffer an early death, he would definitely have some achievements in the future. Shinohara and Keita chose to become friends with him when they were all young. They also had their own thoughts about the situation.

"Originally I heard that you stay in the Konoha Hospital to help out when you're not on a mission, do you really do so?" Asahi asked, seemingly inadvertently.

"Yeah." Shinohara nodded, and continued, "My mother works at Konoha Hospital and also taught me a bit of medical ninjutsu, so I go to help there when I don't have a mission."

"Oh, so that's the reason." Asahi whispered.

Shinohara's puzzled looked at Asahi asked, "What's wrong? Asahi, is there anything you want to ask?"

"I happen to be very interested in medical ninjutsu. I don't know if I could be like you and go to Konoha Hospital to help when I'm not on a mission" Asahi said.

"No! Asahi!" Keita was surprised by this.

"I think you have talent in ninjutsu. Why would you want to become a medical ninja?"

"I'm not trying to become a medical-nin, I just want to help when it's possible. If there is a mission, I will still do the mission with you," Asahi explained.

Ueno hearing this said, "Asahi, through the previous battle, you did show an extraordinary talent in ninjutsu. I originally planned to point you three in training for a period of time after returning to the village this time. If you are going to aim to become the medic of the team..."

"Ueno-sensei, you misunderstood, I will only go to the medic team to learn when there is nothing to do. If you would take us to training, of course, I will follow you in training." Asahi explained.

"If that's the case, I'll ask for you after we return to the village." Shinohara said, "Right now there are a lot of wounded people, and Konoha Hospital is always short on staff. If Asahi is willing to help, they will definitely agree."

"I will have to trouble you for that then." Asahi said.

"Don't worry, it's no problem."

"Asahi, why do you want to learn medical ninjutsu?" Keita asked.

"I'm just interested." Asahi didn't want to let people know his purpose.

In the Ninja world, strong are respected. Although the role of a medical-nin was very important, their status was generally not high, and they were considered to be below normal ninjas. So most people were unwilling to become medical-nin.

But Asahi had his own ideas.

Asahi with his superb chakra control could take the route that Sakura took in the original anime and learn medical ninjutsu.

And if he wanted to study Forbidden Jutsus, in addition to having a very rich ninjutsu theoretical knowledge, it was also a good choice to have knowledge on medical ninjutsu.

According to the information currently held by Asahi, Tsunade's younger brother Senju Nawaki and her fiancé were already dead. Tsunade, who has suffered from blood phobia, was now staying at Konoha Hospital every day. If he could learn from Tsunade, it's also a very good choice.

However, Tsunade was now on the lowest period of her life, and might not be willing to accept a non-knowledgeable Asahi as her disciple.

So he now needed a good plan.

In appearance, Asahi and Nawaki were not even similar. Nawaki had a fat round face, while Asahi had a short thin face.

So in order to awaken Tsunade's care for her younger brother, Asahi must start with character, hobby, and habits.

Asahi could imitate the character and hobbies of Nawaki. It doesn't need to be extremely similar. As long as it could stir up Tsunade's goodwill, he might have the hope of becoming Tsunade's disciple.

After all, no matter how strong Tsunade's character was, it couldn't change that she was right now in her lowest period of life. Tsunade, who had just experienced the death of her younger brother and her lover was filled with sadness and grief. She was now very fragile and needed someone to distract her.

Asahi could totally attract Tsunade's interest as long as he shows high medical ninjutsu talent, and then show a character similar to Nawaki, so as to achieve his purpose of worshiping Tsunade.

Although there were many masters in Konoha, there were few who were willing to guide him, so Asahi must plan for his future.

Tsunade was not the best target to get as his master, but helpless, he had no choice at all.

And whether this time his plan could be successful or not was still unknown.

…

A day later, Asahi along with his team finally returned to Konoha.

Although it was a mission which escalated to the point of life and death, but that way it did feel more thrilling, but if he was a little careless, he might never been able to come back.

He doesn't know if it was because of this, but Asahi suddenly found out that he had a sense of belonging to Konoha. When performing missions outside, he always thought about everything in the village.

Ueno went to the Hokage Office to report the mission details, and the rest of the team was just waiting outside and getting bored.

Fortunately, it didn't take too long to report the mission. After Ueno came out, along with Shinohara and Keita, they were taken to the barbecue shop.

"Welcome to our new teammates!"

Everyone held fruit juice and toasted. They ate and drank till full, and realized that their friendship had grown a lot without noticing.

Although Asahi had few friends, it's not because he refused to make friends, but he's just not good at expressing, not good at taking the initiative and always thinking ways to get stronger. But looking at his future teammates and teacher, Asahi also felt a touch of warmth in his heart.

During his future ninja career, he would have to rely on the support of these people and they would also rely on him.

For this barbecue, Ueno was naturally paying, and the genin in his team didn't let him off easily. Fortunately, he was a Jonin, and he certainly had lots of savings, a barbecue would probably not even dent his wallet.
