"I really want to know what the Sixth Elder is planning!
Is he seriously suggesting that the Uchiha should follow the Senju Clan's example, completely disband, and finally change our names to become civilians before he will be satisfied?"
Whoa!
Wow, that's quite an accusation, directly targeting the Uchiha's very foundation!!!
Fugaku and the elders were all stunned. Soon, everyone looked at the Sixth Elder with strange expressions.
Because Kazuki made sense.
The Uchiha were already part of Konoha, so why talk about integrating into the larger environment?
They talk about equality, but how many ninja clans actually see themselves as equal to commoners?
Even the Sarutobi clan doesn't do that, so why should the Uchiha?
To fully integrate into Konoha, you would have to disband the clan, just like the Senju clan.
But
If that isn't attacking the very roots of the Uchiha, then what is?
"You... I..."
The Sixth Elder's face turned red again, stuttering and unable to form a complete sentence for a long while.
Kazuki wasn't just opposing the dovish faction; he was trying to obliterate it with a single blow.
This accusation was enough to put the Sixth Elder and the dovish faction in a tight spot.
The worst part was that they couldn't shake off this accusation. If they didn't mean it, then why keep talking about fully integrating the clan into Konoha?
We are already part of Konoha!
Explain why you're pushing for this!
Your intention must be to make the clan follow the Senju's path.
"Ugh!"
Already advanced in age, coupled with the stimulus of Kazuki's genjutsu and the accumulation of frustration, the Sixth Elder reached a breaking point. His vision went black, and he spat out a mouthful of blood before collapsing to the ground.
This unexpected turn of events left everyone stunned.
Even Kazuki thought it was a bit much.
Spitting blood and passing out—was that really necessary?
But with the Sixth Elder unconscious, the meeting couldn't continue.
Fortunately, this was the outcome Kazuki wanted. After today, the dovish faction couldn't survive unless they were willing to carry the label Kazuki had given them.
Even Shisui, a staunch supporter of the dovish faction, would have to keep his head down.
In the ensuing chaos, the guards carried the Sixth Elder to the hospital, putting an end to the dovish faction's issue.
What a headache.
Fugaku rubbed his aching temples, looking at Kazuki with a helpless expression.
The others looked at Kazuki with complex expressions, except for the Grand Elder, whose gaze remained fervent.
The topic of the dovish faction had to be dropped.
Time to change the subject.
Fugaku thought for a moment and said:
"Kazuki has proposed removing Uchiha Shisui from the police force, suggesting he would be more suited to the complaints handling department. What do the elders think?"
Is there such a good thing?
Of course, support.
"I support it."
"I agree. Shisui is a good kid, but he doesn't belong in the police force."
The hardline elders immediately voiced their support. The neutral elders looked to Fugaku, indicating that he should make the decision, as they preferred not to comment and risk provoking Kazuki.
With the Sixth Elder's example fresh in their minds, these elders dared not put on airs with Kazuki.
They feared that an impulsive move from Kazuki would result in severe consequences.
A madman is not scary. What's scary is a madman with intelligence and strong capabilities. Being targeted by such a person would make it hard to sleep peacefully.
"Since no one opposes, from tomorrow, Shisui will be relieved of his position in the police force and transferred to the complaints handling department."
Fugaku made the decision.
"Kazuki, stay behind."
After everything concluded, the hardline faction was delighted, while the neutral faction was anxious.
They were unsure if Kazuki would join the hardline faction or target them next.
Not only the neutral elders but Fugaku, as the clan leader, was also worried about this issue.
So, he kept Kazuki behind.
Hearing this, Kazuki, who was about to leave, stayed.
Normally, Fugaku would make tea and relax, but now he didn't dare to do so, even feeling like throwing away his tea set.
They went to the living room. Seeing Kazuki sit cross-legged instead of kneeling, Fugaku's eyes twitched. He took a deep breath and asked coldly:
"Kazuki, what exactly are you trying to do?"
"What do you mean, clan leader?"
Kazuki looked puzzled.
Fugaku said angrily:
"In just a few days, you've caused a lot of trouble. Today, you even defied the elders and attacked them. What's your goal?"
I knew you couldn't hold it in.
If this continues, the Uchiha will either grow stronger or spiral out of control.
I can't help but be anxious.
"To make the Uchiha strong again, instead of living subserviently with our tails between our legs."
Facing Fugaku's cold and authoritative gaze, Kazuki calmly replied.
I would say it's for my own life, but you wouldn't believe me!
It's unfortunate that you're a timid clan leader, so I'm forced to take matters into my own hands.
Using the Uchiha's future as a slogan, Kazuki gave Fugaku no room to criticize him. After all, even though Kazuki was impulsive, he hadn't harmed the clan's interests.
Fugaku fell silent for a long time.
Kazuki also sat quietly, feeling no discomfort.
"That's great!!!"
At this moment, a cheerful voice came in. Kazuki recognized it immediately—it was his protégé, Sasuke Uchiha.
Sasuke walked into the living room, smiling and bouncing happily.
Seeing the two people sitting in the living room, Sasuke was startled. Noticing his father's stern expression, he quickly stood up straight and bowed:
"I'm back, Father. Hello, senior Kazuki."
"Hmm," Fugaku replied coldly, crossing his arms.
Five-year-old Sasuke couldn't hide his disappointment.
"Father, senior Kazuki."
Following Sasuke, Itachi greeted formally and then led Sasuke upstairs.
The interruption eased the tense atmosphere a bit.
Fugaku's stern expression relaxed a bit.
"What do you think of the hardline faction?"
"Be honest. You've been harsh on Shisui. He also has the clan's best interests at heart."
"If it's for the good of the clan, he shouldn't make the clan live with their tails between their legs."
Kazuki disagreed with Fugaku, knowing Shisui's role as a double agent had Fugaku's support.
The same would be true for Itachi in the future. Unfortunately, Fugaku overestimated Shisui and Itachi's loyalty to the Uchiha.
Sending two spies, only for both to side with the village's higher-ups.
"If he really wants what's best for the clan, he should abandon those unrealistic ideas."
"As for the hardline faction, I think you, as the clan leader, already have an idea. I have no intention of joining the hardline faction—not at all. I won't support any attempt to stage a coup. I've said before, we are part of Konoha. Even if there's some conflict, it won't escalate to the level of a coup."
"Whether you believe it or not, this is my heartfelt opinion. I will strive for my goals."
This was Kazuki's stance.
